Hey everyone, I am a ~1 month lurker here on the subreddit. I have read many posts here and have applied what I believe in to myself. The story I am going to share with you today is proving the "coward glance" post to be completely true.

Story: Was walking to my friends room to drop off a textbook I was borrowing. In order to get there, I have to go across a "bridge" that connects our two buildings together. In this bridge, there are tables and chairs set up so you can study etc. On my way back, I saw a HB8-HB9 looking at me. At first I glanced at her and made eye contact and quickly broke it. Then I remembered /u/il_Pater 's great post! .5 seconds later and I look back at her and shes still staring at me. This time I maintain eye contact for a good 2 seconds and she eventually broke it off, acting as if she was looking behind her.

I know this story sounds pretty fucking stupid because I didn't even end up escalating, but I guess my point was just to reaffirm the mentioned post. I could've not returned the stare but I would've missed out on some good eye candy and it definitely boosted my ego seeing her break the stare. I felt very dominant over the course of our 3 second moment.

tldr: hb8 staring at me, I glance, look away, remember coward glance post, decide to stare back at her, 2 sec later she breaks it and tries to play it off. feltalphaanddominantman. don't be a bitch, nothing happens if you stare and maintain frame
