The fastest way to get a "next" from me on any online dating site or app is to not have a profile picture and then play coy about giving me one. It either means the person is in a relationship and doesn't want the SO to know or the person is ugly as hell. I don't want to deal with any of that.
[–]Spyderla[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Same here. Women are different. They want a photo too, but they will engage, even if you don't have one if your profile is interesting. I now give them a photo, but there is a theme of adventure, fun, and mischief in the photos.

Nice. Wait...temporary tattoos? Are you fucking kidding me?
[–]redpillerinnyc1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Thank you. Any men who wear temporary tattoos do not respect themselves.
[–]Spyderla 1 points1 points1 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
Read the post, or you will simply get caught up in a tat discussion. I don't respect myself in the morning. LOL.
[–]redpillerinnyc-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link
I read the post. I don't online date, but even if I did, I just couldn't respect your opinion knowing your taste level. No offense intended. Like you said, if it works for you keep playing the field. Just don't think guys should be taking your advice, especially in that particular topic.
[–]Spyderla 0 points0 points0 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
If you don't online date why are you bothering to post? This is an online dating advice post. Guys that don't online date can not take the advice. So what you are saying is "don't take his advice on online dating. I am saying this based on my experience never online dating." Thanks for playing. No offense taken. We are even, because I could never respect your opinion since you offer it on subjects you have no interest in. Your taste level is amazing. Whatever that means. :)

No need to act butthurt, man. It's all good.
[–]Spyderla1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
LOL You are the coolest guy here.
[–]Spyderla 2 points2 points2 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
No. Not kidding. Your tribal shoulder and sleeve tats have you covered so you can skip that part. Seriously. this part makes tat guys freak out. But if you don't have one, try it. What you think you know would be the reaction will not be. Tats are great.
[–]EmanuelGold2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago [recovered] (10 children) | Copy Link
'Temporary tattoos', it just sounds like you're a loser trying to be someone that you're not. That being said, if you want to roll with it then that's completely your choice but if you were one of my mates id be giving you shit about it
[–]Spyderla 6 points6 points6 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I'm talking about meeting women. I find it strange at how much some guys here want their "mates" to approve of them. You will understand when you are older to not worry about what your mates think is cool, but to do what is effective. There is a reason it is called game. If you just being you is how you do it, then you are the big winner and not a loser. ;)
[–]machimus0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago [recovered] (6 children) | Copy Link
I think you should go with whatever works. I'm a firm believer in looking good in order to feel good. I don't think I'd take myself seriously with temporary tattoos, but if it makes you feel like you need to feel, go for it man.
[–]Spyderla -1 points-1 points-1 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
Imagine you had a friend that was sick, and was struggling. You got his/her name made into a temp tattoo and you wore it to support them in their fight to get well until they had healed. There are many reasons to wear a temp tat. Mine was a company that sponsored my lifestyle. In the photo it looks like a tat. In person it looks like a tat. When it comes up in conversation, I explain it. Not once has any lady ever said if the tat ain't real, I'm out! ;)
[–]filsdepub-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link
Don't do it man, regardless of you idea, temp tattoos are shit. They are made exactly like real tattoos, but don't go as deep (past the dermis). This mean that they will slowly fade away. So the tattoo (usually done by someone less experienced than a real tattoo artist) will look like a big shit stain for a while, because the thinnest parts will go away first, seriously look it up it's horrible.
Read the post. I am not planning to try this and want advice from tat experts. I am telling you what I did, and the results I had. You can take it or leave it.
[–]filsdepub-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link
And have a "cool tat" for a month then an ugly blob of ink for weeks
[–]machimus0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Nah, mostly they scrub off like dead skin. Unless he means henna tattoos, but I really doubt it.
You may be right about some of them. I don't use that kind.
[–]trp_angry_dwarf-2 points-1 points0 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Well said.
If it works, it works and becomes another weapon in the arsenal. Some of the most stupid shit is in ny repertoire now.
[–]trp_angry_dwarf1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
So would I, until the part where he said that temporary tattoos increased his results.
Once that happens it becomes something I will probably have to scientifically research myself.
[–]Garconanokin0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It struck me as odd too, but I have to admit I'm definitely entertaining the notion of it. It's not as though the women aren't putting on appearances, BFD.
[–]MHOOD01-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Real tats are great, this fake tattoo shit is the equivalent of wearing a wig.
If going and putting on a fake tattoo gets you laid then good for you, I guess.
Thanks for your opinion. Isn't meeting and having fun with women the point? You sound disappointed that the temp tats might work. LOL
[–]Senior EndorsedMattyAnon2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Temporary tattoos = makeup
I'm gonna try this. I wanna see what happens. (Tattoos I mean. I already know what happens when I wear makeup)
[–]rocklion200 2 points2 points2 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]Ex-AlodianKnight3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
This is actually helpful. My current profile on a dating site have photos of me in selfies.
When I posted a picture of myself on my motorcycle, there were responses from girls.
Posting moments help and I'll keep that in mind.
[–]redpillerinnyc-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Chicks love motorcycles. I collect vintage European bikes, and you can virtually see them wet themselves with excitement when I show off my collection to girls. Taking them for a ride- especially on some of my favorites like my 75 Norton Commando- is a special privilege reserved for top plates.
[–]williamwilliam2 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Nice, but balance online with day game.
Don't assume young hotties won't party with someone their daddies age. They fantasize about landing their 'professor', 'the ceo', the 'club owner', etc, etc.
[–]Spyderla[S] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm not saying young girls won't party with older men. Been happening forever. But that is not my preference.
[–]1RBuddDwyer0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Or just do day game exclusively. Roosh V. wrote a whole book about how to do it. It is well written, and makes it easy to set up for approaches anywhere you happen to be, grocery store, coffee shop, public transit, elevator, anywhere but the club scene.
[–]williamwilliam2 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I did switch to day game exclusively myself. It's actually easier (no shouting over loud music, etc.) and more fun.
[–]1RBuddDwyer0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Roosh writes about it a lot, actually. Here are his criticisms of it. Given OP's situation, day game is still better. It's probably what I would do if I got back out there.

online Alpha game
Men do online dating because it's easier and a shortcut to talking to women compared to doing approaches. There is nothing alpha about it.
[–]partylikeits18992 points3 points4 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
I created a profile, said a few things about myself and have never once initiated a conversation with a woman. The vast majority of message I received I ignored. Im currently dating a sexy, passionate woman than I'm very compatible with. For me, meeting someone who meets my standards for personality, looks, has some of the same hobbies as me and is single is quite hard to find. Especially at a bar scene.
I'm also more of a mgtow, so I don't waste time fucking around with people who don't add value to my life. So whatever. Its working pretty good for me. But then again, I'm not someone who uses it just to try and get laid... If I were trying for that I'd just go to a bar
[–]Spyderla 11 points11 points11 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
Let's agree to disagree. Easier and shortcut is called a lifehack. You could be losing sight of the goal, to experience as many women and other things that bring you joy, as possible. There are lots of games. Online game is one. How you play any game can be alpha or beta.
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago [recovered] (0 children) | Copy Link
I agree with OP in that online dating is where it is at. I'm 25 and definitely over the bar scene. If both methods achieve the same end result, what does it matter?
I look at it as you can either work smart or work hard.
Working smart is being able to line up dates while sitting in your favorite comfortable recliner while drinking your favorite beer.
Working hard is spending late nights at the crowded bar that blasts obnoxiously loud music and paying for extremely overpriced beer.
[+]tombreck2 -7 points-6 points-5 points 11 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link
It's the opposite of a lifehack; it's a waste of your time.
If you match with a 7 on Tinder she will have 50+ other guys messaging her at that moment.
However, if you were to approach that girl at a bar on a thurday night then you would be the only one who has her attention at that moment.
[–]Spyderla 15 points15 points15 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I can tell you it has never been a waste of my time. You may have missed the part about me not wanting to be in a bar on thursday night? Any attractive girl always has 50+ guys after her. Bar game is great, it just isn't my preference. You are in your 20s? Never married? No kids? If so, bar game is your game, and stay offline.
[–]tombreck2 -4 points-3 points-2 points 11 years ago [recovered] (11 children) | Copy Link
Let's say I give you $10,000.
You can buy $10,000 worth of lottery tickets, not learn anything and maybe strike it rich a few times. That's online dating.
Or you can read up on the stock market, make some invesments, fail, learn from your mistakes and become a better investor which will lead to bigger gains over the long term. That's approaching.
[–]TheBadGod1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Wouldn't approaching be taking that ten thousand from you, then taking the rest?
[–]tombreck2 -2 points-1 points0 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
You invest in each approach and every failure allows you to analyze and see your mistake to make yourself better
[–]TheBadGod0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
But if the money is a metaphor for sexual value, and you, who are providing the money, is the path to that value, then isn't it my job to make your money my money?
If you have a million dollars, then I have a million dollars. If I have access to you, and I'm powerful enough to take everything from you, then what I should be learning is everything regarding the path to sexual value.
I'm not that bright, so I might be thinking of something completely unrelated.
[–]tombreck2 -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
money = game
To get good at game you have to make yourself vulnerable to rejection (invest) and then learn from your mistakes. You can go high risk high reward (confidently approach a very attractive woman in front of many people), low risk low reward (approach an unnattractive girl), etc.
Or you can research stocks, (bars), markets (SMV of men that go there) and then invest there (go to a dive bar on a Thursday night) to maximize your ROI.
[–]TheBadGod1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ohh. Okay then. I suppose it's been a while since I had to invest. That'd make you the thing that generates money/game.
Eventually, a fella just becomes the generator. He walks into the room and every woman wants him, and all the men use him to make their own game stronger.
"Hey," becomes the only thing he needs to say to whomever he chooses.
That sounds like you have not had good luck online. Try what I have written here. Tinder is different because it is purely visual, but can still work. I am not saying don't approach. I have approached with success many times. But, when you get older, you will have more responsibilities, children, larger career demands, and hanging out at the bars trying to score will no longer look cool, but will look pathetic.
[–]seddition3 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
There are plenty of attractive girls on match.com and they are easy to lay. Anyone who discounts online dating is an idiot. I've racked up a ton of notches with attractive girls with a minimal time investment on match.com. Plus, you have a full quiver from match so when you go out you have a real abundance mentality rather than a fabricated one.
[–]tombreck2 -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link
There have been some good posts from older TRPers who do well with college girls. Hell, my 23 year old roommate brought home a 39 year old guy she met while couchsurfing a few months ago.
I do not find myself attracted to 23 year olds. I am happy for guys my age that do. However, if you see a 50 year old in the club hitting on 23 year olds, do you think to yourself, that is once cool cat? Or do you think WTF is he doing here. ;)

Some gramps tried pesting my drunk ass 21 y.o. sister while she was almost passing out. Only reason it didn't come to me beating the decrepit shit out of him was his buddies taking him away.
[–]aggitator4 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
Lol, getting someonesmattention in a bar on friday night, you truly don't get out much.
[–]the_number_22 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
What about engaging in online dating during time that otherwise would be wasted? For example, I occasionally have days at work where I'm doing basically nothing - literally getting paid to browse Reddit. Shouldn't I fill that time browsing POF and shotgunning out some canned openers to see what bites?
[–]tombreck2 -2 points-1 points0 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
There's nothing wrong with it but keep in mind that 99.999% of men on earth can do online dating because you are just typing text and messaging.
If I were to put the next ten girls you would Like on Tinder in a bar would you actually approach them or would you only do it online like a beta.
[+]Maaahoney -8 points-7 points-6 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I was thinking the same thing. I cannot think of anyone I would consider Alpha on an online dating site.
OP I have trouble believing these women don't lose respect for you after finding out your tattoos are fake. I lose respect for you as a guy, because it makes you look like a phony and incongruent. Women usually base their opinions of guys based on how other men view him.
[–]Spyderla[S] 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
If you are not taking advantage of online dating, tinder, etc, I can only say we see technology in a different way.
I am reporting my experience. You, having not tried it, are basing your experience on a personal feeling. However, I think perhaps you both may be in your 20s or 30s? Your priorities on how you spend your time may be very different. Either way, I am happy to hear your opinion. If you have real tattoos it probably makes you mad that someone gets away with not having real ones. ;)
[–]Maaahoney 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I think we're misunderstanding each other. All I'm saying is I think you have a vagina.

[–]colombianguy 3 points3 points3 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
Great post, man. It was detailed but not longwinded, and included field reporting, analysis, lessons learned, and recommendations/tips.
Make sure you are always dating at least 2 women. If you are dating one, and she starts using mood weapons, sad clown tactics because you aren’t spending enough time with her, you will have scarcity mentality and fall for it. It’s a trap. Odds are she is dating a guy or two on the side anyway.
This point seems so obvious now but in hindsight I used to believe that to do this was dishonorable, and that women believed as I did. In my more naive and idealistic days, I used to believe that whenever you got involved with someone, there was an unspoken understanding of exclusivity, of not active or passively getting involved with anyone else while we went out during the "courting" phase. In my mid-twenties I learned that I could not have been more wrong. Girls/women juggled multiple men and dates with them until finally choosing to go exclusive with one, and often they did it so well that I always believed I was the only one they were being intimate with. So, yeah, nowadays, I'm always juggling at least two women, usually a new one I'm going out with as well as a returning FWB, to avoid oneitis and because they're also doing the same thing as I am.
[–]Spyderla2 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
Thank you my friend. I know exactly what you mean about it being dishonorable in your mind. That is some cultural programming that we have to get beyond. Sounds like you have done so in great fashion.
[–]TrenAcetate 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
LMAO at temporary tattoos, you have to be fucking kidding me.
I'm sure your permanent sponge bob tat gets you lots of action. I'm only kidding, and if you don't do it right, I agree with you. It has to be subtle, and have meaning. You need to attach a story to the temp tat. Sometimes to get in one box, you have to think outside of another. :)
[–]Upvote_To_The_Left-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
man, I cant help but voice my disapproval of fake tattoos. Granted I am but a stranger online but fake tattoos are not cool. seriously, you're cooler without them at the very least.
I have a bunch of them, so I would recommend either dont get them, or dive in and get something small and see how it feels on you. Get your kids initials written, or a small object that you identify with,. I have a guitars pick, and bird, and flowers on my arms.
Trust me on this dude. fake tattoos are lame. you're better off getting a stylist haircut, killer mustache, and a slick fitting sports jacket with some cool subtle shoes.

can you at least say why they're not cool or lame? i must feel the logic
You ask a great question. Here is my guess. I understand that when someone gets a tat, that means they made a lifetime commitment to their tattoo. It required physical pain. They are so proud of it, that they think it is cheating for me to have ink on the body that I can remove at will. And worse, the girls don't care if you frame it correctly. I like tats, but I thought the point here is trying strategies that work, not making sure people with tats don't get upset. That part was a few lines in the whole post, and was not intended to make tat guys feel cheated, but to increase the amount of fun in your life.

I hate that Tat guys feel threatened or angered by temp tats. Temporary tats are not so your bro's will high five you. The goal is to put forth an image to engage with the women you want. 90% of women do not care if they are real, if you have one that means something to you as mine did and you have a good reason for wearing it. If you want a tat, get a tat. We are not talking about tats here, we are talking about online dating game. If you already have a tat you need not worry with it, you are ahead of the game. I am just sharing my experience with it. The fear of being called lame should not worry a guy that has confidence, but will paralyze a guy that doesn't. You have to enter the game, and try things others would be too chicken to try. A guy with a permanent tat of course will think a temp is lame. Cry all the way to the bedroom with the chicks you get.
[–]redpillerinnyc4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link
Most women think fake tats are lame too, they are just better at hiding it.
I don't care what they think if we end up in bed. It is a suggestion. I get the feeling you aren't reading the post, only the responses about tats.
