'Boys will be boys' - is somehow related to 'a touch unwanted, or glance'?

I've seen this type of shaming (as have we all) a lot recently. The idea that if you use the phrase 'boys will be boys', you're somehow supporting and excusing unwanted touches and glances. As if the two have anything to do with each other.

I can hear all the incels and 'nice guys' thinking 'yes, yes, I will chastise anyone who says 'boys will be boys, and all these women will think I'm amazing for being against unwanted touching'.

The ever-expanding war in our culture against boys/men/language continues at the should-be unbiased dictionary.com where they've flipped from describing language of our use to trying to teach us what language we should actually be using.

I don't have an issue with it. We can't blame society because the majority of us were raised weak and un-informed. Hell it's why TRP even exists. I was fortunate that discipline was beaten into me from an early age. My father may have been an emotional dwarf but he certainly taught/showed me how to be a man.

Some phrases need to be untaught ... let's start the unlearning.

Conversely some phrases need to be taught; and or demonstrated. That's why we're here.

Boys succumb to emotion. Men do not.

I lament what has become of this site. 20 years ago in college it was my homepage, and it named a stuffed animal the only woman I ever loved gave me. Obsequious. That was the word of the day when she gave it to me. We had just met a few weeks earlier. Cute stuff for 5 years, but then all her high school friends started getting married and having babies, and she completely forgot that both of us had said neither of us wanted either because of my parents dysfunctional relationship and my disabled sibling and her being adopted so a genetic crapshoot and of course marriage doesn't work.
