One of the key difference between the genders I've noticed, is that women really do have a 'see what happens' attitude about life. Rather than take action on a particular situation, they will usually try and avoid doing anything and either 'learn to live with it' or wait and see if the particular situation changes organically.

I find this attitude very defeatist and it manifests itself in almost every way, women nearly always try and put off any major decisions and if there is a problem, be that social or with something they own they will always try and manoeuvre away around acting on it.

Its easy to find this off-putting behaviour stop you from actually taking action on things, but I've learnt from experience when women give you advice to not do something (that is a sound and rational decision and will improve your quality of life) its best to make your own mind up and disregard it. I've often had women advise me against life decisions that after making they have praised me for. This ranges from things as basic as changing jobs to getting a respray on my car.
