Your job is only relevant to your provider status. If you're aiming to attract women on the basis of your provider status then yes it makes you low value. The only men who set themselves up to be beta-bux are guys with nothing else going for them though (the ugly Indian guys who flood dating sites with pictures of their used BMWs).

If you have other things going for you then your job value helps but it isn't a deal breaker. I know far too many broke personal trainers who absolutely slay attractive women for me to ever believe that job status is everything that matters. Looks > social proof > job

Low paid, blue collar work shows you are low social class. Some guys pull off the 'starving artist/musician' trope and get girls, but you are way too old for it.
