We don’t want to fix Rome, we want to loot it.
brilliant.

He's right too - I'd rather be a viking than a roman right about now.
His other main point has a lot of merit too - it's all about in-group and out-group definitions and roles. You prioritize your in-group and have one set of rules for how you treat them, and shun the out-group.
Often these groups are religious based. There's a compelling argument about how the 10 commandments are about how to treat other Jews, and that several other portions of the Torah point to people having to prove a blood (or marriage) connection to the 12 tribes of Israel to avoid getting killed (or proving that their victim wasn't Jewish).

Agreed.
Captain Capitalist has a book called "Enjoy the Decline" - the title says it all.

There are two proposed solutions, one focusing on detail-level equality, proposed by the MRM, the other modeled after the old, proven system, proposed by the reactionaries. They're not entirely incompatible, with the right balance they might even be workable, the problem of course is "how to get there?".
For the men's movement to work, you'd need the demographic in power (women) to have enough sympathy for men. Not going to happen, at least not on the large scale. And you also can't rewind the clock and go back on legal and social changes, not enough people will accept it. Runsonmagic is right:
Systems are not fixed. They are replaced.
And that's the solution the manosphere offers. Survive until the rules change, and don't contribute to a broken system. Each segment of the manosphere offers a custom "patch" for the person's specific needs (if you want kids, read the christian orthosphere, if you want to bed women, read about pickup and game, if you don't want to deal with women at all, it's MGTOW) but ultimately, the solution is to sabotage the status quo by retracting one's support and focusing on one's tribe (which can be a family, a harem or only oneself).
The solution is to let the forces of the universe shape our societies when the majority of the population stops lending its strength in holding an artificial order they don't even believe in.

I recommend that all men have savings, zero debt, own their place of residence, know their neighbors, and have buddies.
This is good advice for a collapse, and it is also good advice for everyday life.

I think this is better than runsonmagic's blog post.

Yeah, pretty much.
Putting effort into "saving" our culture from the feminists is wasted effort, because any time, care, money, etc, we put in will just get given to them by the state.
We need to prosper by checking out, and keeping for ourselves what we earn, reserving our efforts for our own lives and our own projects.
We don't even have to burn Rome. They'll light it on fire themselves. All we have to do is refuse to form a bucket brigade. Let them be queens of the ashes.

It will be impossible to come up with a "solution" while you have feminists and their mangina allies refusing to accept any sort of biological facts.
It'll get worse before it gets better, if it gets better at all.

The MRM wants a solution. Players like rooshv just aren't too happy about their way of getting there. Makes his tweet a bit strange.

And like Rome, it's going to have to fall before something can rise from the ashes. That is more likely than the tribes and barbarians all getting together and going "Ok, this is what's wrong", agreeing on that, and how to fix it.

Solution? Ha! There is no solution. There is no way to change anything.
Look at how women respond to the mere existence of TRP. More than half the population can't even be bothered to acknowledge reality. How the fuck do you change anything in that type of situation?

I could scream about how broken the system is until I am blue in the face, but I really wont have to. You see as more and more men realize how fucked up these systems are, more and more will opt out until the "misandry bubble" (check the sidebar) bursts.
Once those who are still plugged in see the evidence before there very eyes, they will be forced to reconsider their views, and we will be there to say "I told you so".
Im 19 years old, got pretty much my whole life ahead of me. I'm going to exploit the system for everything I can while I can. I don't want a solution, I hope it's fixed after I've died.

I want a solution, but the only way to get to that solution is to have the system fall apart first.

First time I've seen this blog but I'm finding it to be a great read.

It doesn't really seem like a "solution" is necessary. Following a red pill mentality is showing to open doors many thought closed. It's a swiss army knife that cuts through a lot of bullshit in the current environment.
Why would you want that to fall apart when you have keys to the kingdom?
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Its just a whole bunch of nepotism.
[–]tallwheel0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This over-generalizes the "manosphere". In truth, there is a segment (MRM) that says they want a solution. Whether they are capable of bringing about a solution or not is a different argument entirely.

This is silly for 2 reasons:
1) The Manosphere does not only consist of its "cad" / puerarch subset i.e. men who focus on no strings attached sex, weight lifting, and internet business and not much else. Consider Dalrock, Athol Kay etc.
2) Look, deadlifting and gaming girls into your bed does not make you a barbarian hero. Have you ever looted and burned down a town? Come on, not even a little one? How about a duel until death? Never? Then you are not a barbarian. There is nothing wrong with being a masculine playboy who has lots of fun and freedom, but don't imagine that makes you some kind of a hero or ultra badass. This lifestyle is well within actual civilized norms. You are just a guy living free and having fun, don't pretend you are Genghis Khan, the human wrecking ball of civilizations.
