TRP does not encourage cheating.

TRP encourages not putting yourself in that situation where cheating is necessary in the first place.

TRP theory is neutral. All it does it provide a set of principles that we apply to our own lives in whatever manner we so choose.

My personal view: Dishonesty is bad regardless of who commits it. Therefore, if it's wrong for the woman to cheat, it's also wrong for the man to cheat.

Make sure you are making a distinction between "encourage" and "accept." TRP might say "well it's your decision" it, but may not say "yeah you should totally go do it."

That being said, there are some varying opinions among members here. Some think that it's fine almost universally, some think it's fine on certain situations (e.g. sexless marriage), and some think that you should not be in a relationship/LTR if you want to cheat.

But the principle is: Be true to yourself.

You have a monogamous relationship and mutually agreed on that one? Good. Keep it monogamous. Intentional dishonesty is cowardice. Neither the male nor the female should cheat under those circumstances.

Plate spinning? Good. Make clear you are not exclusive to her and you won't comfort her in any way. Then you can fuck other women and she can't blame you for that. You told her.

I don't think TRP has (or should have) a stance on this. I am a married man.

I love my wife. I would jump on a rusty grenade for her without a blink. I provide for her and our children without any sense of debt or expectation of gratitude. It is my primary purpose in life.

BUT :)

I am motivated by sex. I get a thrill, an ego-boost, a release, a sense of being alive through a successful hunt.

My wife is also extraordinarily more motivated with the silent knowledge that other women want me, and that I could leave her. She feels more challenged and more natural competing for me.

In other words, it's complicated. I have found my own set of rules that I am happy within, but then again I might be a sociopath...so take it for what you will.

tldr I'm a better man, my wife is a better woman, and we are a better couple when the promise/threat of another woman is real.

p.s. this works both ways, but differently. She knows and embraces my potential to trade for a sex object, I know, embrace and am motivated by her potential to trade for a success object. The threat has to be real...how you get there is up to your own morals, sociopathic or otherwise.

The entire premise of this question is based on how men feel about women, how disposable is a woman to an RP man? Is what you really want to know.

To most rp guys and I don't speak for them personally, but going by my observations and the multiple discussions I've had with rp men, nearly all women are pretty disposable and good nothing but a fuck, once you take them off the pedestal and see them for who they really are, you conclude very few are of high enough quality to warrant essentially giving up your freedoms for. After all it is in the female imperatives interest to secure the provisioning of a man, it's in the man's biological interest to spread his seed as far as possible.

For me, she'd have to be something special to get my monogamy and I don't mean special as in "special snowflake" or "I'm so head over heels on my own oxytocin that I think she's special" I mean she objectively needs to have high value, not fat, quite intelligent, not an insufferable nag with strong opinions, witty, has a sense of humour, isn't uglier than shrek, has skills like cooking and foreign languages and dancing, that kind of shit. I mean guys are typically more willing to give women what they want (commitment) when the woman actually seems like she's offering a good deal and doesn't just believe the merit of being female is value enough to warrant a relationship.

I don't think I'd really trust or respect many women enough to decide she has exclusive monopoly over both my dick, my commitment and my time. Most of the women I do respect are not sexually attractive. Most of the women I find sexually attractive are not respectable. If you can be sexy and respectable, you're onto a winner.

Might not be exactly what you want to hear but hey the truth's cute like that I guess.

If a woman decides to cheat on her SO with you and you end up being the one to make the decision not to do it by turning her down or cutting off contact or walking away or whatever, it doesn't matter--she already made the choice, and that's bad enough already.

Like others have said, it's a tool and therefore inherently neutral. I don't personally condone cheating but I understand why it occurs. Nor do I feel better or worse about men or women cheating.

TRP is, like any other movement, a mixture of people. We have different opinions and varying degrees of morality. We aren't a collective with a single mind.

Some guys here want to spin plates. Some are honest about this, others are not. Myself, I'm not into it. I prefer an ongoing monogamous relationship and am currently in an LTR with a great woman. I'm studying and using RP principals to better myself, keep my woman interested and generally keep my sanity when it comes to female behavior. I've never cheated on a woman and have no desire to. If I ever became unhappy enough with a relationship that I wanted sex elsewhere, I'd break it off.

That's just me, though. I do understand why people cheat. I'm not here to judge another person's life choices. I don't know their individual circumstances. I've known married men who cheated and had damn good reasons for doing so. Reasons that I respected and supported.
