Mad Men is a wet dream of the liberal, feminist agenda.

It's the slow destruction of the power that men once had and totally deconstruction of what it means to be a man. It never wastes an attempt to show Don in a shitty light or that in reality he is just a weak husk.

I wouldn't look for any serious truths in that show, though they aren't above throwing a bone to the betas to sell some marketing.

They were careful to paint the Bobbie character as manipulative and shrewd anyway. And those two also had banged before this even happened.

And further on in the show, the little fling with this particular female ends up indirectly causing an end to his marriage. Not exactly the smoothest move.
