I got into an argument with some idiots over on askreddit earlier today. Essentially some betas were crying "we should get rid of the social custom that stops women from asking us out" and my response was "Its not social custom it is a consequence of the biological differences between men and women. Women are just more shy on average" I of course got massively down-voted and they pasted this as "proof" of why I'm wrong:

Now this is a very interesting article. First off, I like that they're actually trying to argue on the scientific playing field. It gives me a lot to have fun with. The second thing I noticed, is that goofy ass picture from the article's author. I knew I was in for a fun ride when I saw that shit.. And the third thing I noticed, is that on an article where they're trying to get all scientific in defending feminism, the author leads with:

"Because I’m queer and gender non-conforming"

Ahh, well that explains it. Only able to approach things from a logical perspective when you're queer huh? These fucking people will ignore reality even when its staring them in the face, grasping for straws at any sort of bullshit they can find.

The rest of the article is honestly just a gigantic mess. She blabbers on for ages about 'why am I writing this' and 'as a dog owner that likes purple icecream' and other completely useless garbage, by the time you actually get to her point you've completely lost interest and already are contemplating why you even use Reddit to begin with.

The actual meat of her arguments are extremely esoteric and poorly explained. She's referencing articles that I haven't read and don't really give a shit about. She blabbers on and on about how cross-cultural studies are hard. And how testosterone is a chemical that is interpreted differently in the body by different people. Like what the fuck lady what is your point and who is your audience?

Can I get the last 30 minutes of my life back?

Bonus find:

Here's a random comment I found that she wrote:

Sir, I am a scientist myself In fact, I am specifically a behavioral ecologist, which I explain in detail in the piece. You appear to be constitutionally incapable of reading this piece, despite your rapid-fire attempt to fire comments at me accusing me of denying science

The lady doth protest too much, methinks
