Been lurking here for the last couple of months since my LTR and I broke it off. I'm starting to get to a point were I can see the things and principles of TRP in my day to day life.

A little bit of context to my situation.

Back in August things between me and my LTR started to get a little rocky. She stopped keeping up her end; the house stopped being cared for, the sex stopped, she never wanted to do anything anymore. When I reached my breaking point, I took all of my stuff and and left our apartment. She cried and told me to come back, that she loved me and would change, fixing all the problems that we were having. Being the beta that I was at the time, I believed her, and moved back in. For the first little while things were better, but it wasn't long before things went back to the way they were. This time though, she was working on improving herself, not even showing interest in trying to fix our relationship anymore. I stuck around for a few more months, that's around the time I found TRP. At the beginning of December I took all my things and left for the second time, this time I told myself I wasn't going back no matter what happened. She pulled the same crying and wanting me back, but I refused. She kept talking to me and persisting, so we agreed that we would try dating and see where that got us, because it was obvious that I couldn't live with her anymore. Things went okay-ish, it was awkward at first, but we were finally getting to talk, and the house was no longer my problem because I didn't live there. I visited a few times and it was still a mess, not exactly the turn around she said she'd make.

That's when things started to get fishy for me. We had a couple dates, for coffee, a few shopping dates, cheap things since we were both tight for cash. Then we decided to go out downtown for a night. The first time she showed up and hour and a half late, completely smashed, I was surprised she could walk. I wasn't exactly impressed by this, but I let it go and tired to have a good night anyways. After this point her stories started to have inconsistencies, and things just started to not line up. Not wanting to give up on something I had invested so much time in, I again, tried to push past it.

That's when last Friday we decided to try going out downtown again. This time she didn't show up until about an hour before last call, shitface wasted, I was appalled. I went over to my buddies on the dance floor to tell them that I was going to leave, I didn't need to deal with this bullshot again. When I walked back over to her, she was talking to another guy at the bar. That's when shit hit the fan. She proceeded to walk over to me, fall in my arm, and said to me;

"Can I fuck him? Please, can I fck him?"

I was dumbfounded, I have no idea how I stayed so calm, I just walked away. Now obviously I'm not going to stand for that, I'm done with this girl, three strikes your out! I drove her home (wish now I hadn't) and then went home myself.

I told her what she did the next day (she obviously didn't remember), and that I was done. So now she's coming back at me playing the victim, and claiming that I'm willing to throw away her amazing self over one stupid night. Trying to tell me that he was drugged or something, because she has no reasonable excuse for her actions. Got everyone on her side, just because I'm finally taking a stand for myself, and looking at my wants over hers.

If it wasn't for TRP helping me see the error of my beta ways, from which I am still effected, I probably would have accepted this and taken her back.

But now I know that AWALT. I've scene the proof before my own eyes, and it disgusts me.

I thank you all for my freedom, and look forward to learning how to make myself happy, over everything else!
