I was a textbook beta in secondary school. Pedestaled a girl for 4 years and 6 months. Got her coffee a few times, homework help till 2 in the morning, etc. She ended up going to ball with a football player from our rival school. I'm not proud of it, but I began to play in order to impress her at first. I got pretty damn good too. National level recognition, before an injury cut my prospects. I've been slowly realising my betaness with girls since Jan 7. I recently found this subreddit.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck in the anger phase where I realise that I've been lied to my entire life. I realise that I can't let the anger take ahold of me, but I've been unvalidated by every single group of people around me my entire life. Except my teammates and coaches, but they're not here now. I'm going to walk on at my uni next semester, but for the next 2 months or so, I won't have any outlet for my anger. My anger is just being fed by other events in my life such as the injury. It's beginning to affect my relationships with my friends, and lifting weights doesn't release it as well anymore.

Any advice on how to move past this whole "fuck disney, fuck feminists, fuck betas, fuck the women who all lied to me" phase?

EDIT: Thanks for all the advice guys. I'm going to apply it immediately. Why couldn't I have met all of you 5 years ago?
