Don't drive drunk man. Fuck sacks. You can fucking die or kill someone. Lost friends to that shit. Get a fucking uber.
[–]NeoreactionSafe 13 points14 points15 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Go to ebay.
Find a breathalyzer.
Buy breathalyzer for $6.
Test your B.A.C. before driving.
If you are above 0.07 then wait an hour if necessary and you will be good to go.
Learn to hold the perfect 0.05 for eight hours or more.
This is why beer is good it's easiest to drink correctly.
[–]TunedtoPerfection 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
The sensors in those cheap breathalyzers aren't accurate at all and will give varied readings based on how you breath into them.
They really should only be used as a guide and honestly if that style sensor reads above .04 you should wait an hour to be safe.
When breathing into the sensor always do it twice, back to back and utilize the second measurement as "true". Your first initial breath will have more fresh air, this combine with the fact that most people now a days haven't taken an actual deep breath in years will mean the first reading is always going to be lower. This is why cops will usually always make you blow twice(usually with some story you did it wrong or didn't blow hard enough). The second breath into the sensor will always be a higher.
If you are ever pulled over and ask to breath twice, calmly explain that your first breath attempt was at your max limit and you don't believe you can blow harder without hyper ventilating first. If they press you say something about smoking a lot in high school or recently quiting/switching to vaping. Make sure you have the officer record the first reading in his note pad, then hyper ventilate and right before you blow take a huge deep breath and then blow as hard as you can. This is actually lower the reading to a more actual level. If this reading is the same or lower have the officer record that as well and ask to take a picture of it.
DUI is a real threat and I have seen and unfortunately been in cars that most likely though they were cool to drive after "4-5 beers". You have to remember a few things, 4 -5 bud lights doesn't equal 4 -5 stone IPAs or 4-5 8% coffee stouts. As a red pill man, you should never be in a spot that forces you to drink and drive, period. You should have a back up plan, even if that back up plan is drink at home. Pay a friend to drive you, call a cab/uber, sleep in your car with your keys in the glove compartment(anywhere away from your hands so an officer can't say your were "intending" to drive) fucking walk if you have to. It is not worth the time, effort, money, attach social stigma for 10 years etc to get a DUI.
Trust me NOTHING is worse then applying for a jobs in a starting position for your dream career and worrying about the fact that a 9 year old DUI is gonna show up on your background check. HR does not give a fuck if it's 1 year old or 9 years old if your not 2000x better then your competition they probably wont take the risk, especially for a position that involves a company car or driving vehicles on company time.
[–]NeoreactionSafe 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I've tested them for fun.
Yeah, they give "ballpark" results... not perfect.
But I know if I'm blowing 0.07 it's bad.
Once I was way too drink and passed out in my car. The next morning I blew 0.07... ouch.

just like they rammed feminism and disney romance down your throat they've been on a supercharged mission to shame everyone for driving drunk . the cops judicial system lawyer's and courts love it because theyre making a killing. no one is in favor of actually driving drunk but you used to be able to go out and drink 3 or 4 beers and not worry and if you werent an asshole and were actually drunk the cops would drive you home. not anymore. im 53 by the way
[–]FormlessAllness 13 points14 points15 points 9 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link
This dude got hammered had a gnarly hangover. What are you talking about? Sounds like he got shit faced so he became talkative and out going. No one gets a fucking dui from having 4 beers over the coarse of an evening. You might be 53 but your acting like a bitter 83 year old. Calm down.
[–]Compeliminator -3 points-2 points-1 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
ive been driving since i was 14 and ive seen the laws in action more than you and 10 people together. believe me more times than not 4 beers will land your ass in jail here
[–]FormlessAllness 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
How? It's based on bac and your driving. Driving over the lines and you blow over, your drunk. Maybe don't slam four beers in 30 minimum and drive home from work. Also wtf does driving sense you were fourteen have to do with anything? You're pulling I'm old so I'm smart card so I'm superior. Here's the thing: a) you are projecting some stupid bullshit b) you are presenting yourself as an old dumbass.
[–]SovereignSoul76 -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Honestly, YOU sound like a moron. I don't remember anybody requesting morality and safety advice from you. Not only that, but it's all based on your faulty assumption this dude was fall-over drunk, which we now know he wasn't.
DUI laws are 100% about court revenue, fines, lawyer costs, charging for those stupid classes, and DMV re-reinstatement charges. It is not just big business, it is HUGE business. Those laws are 0% about public safety. If you disagree with that statement, then you are a perfect little Useful Idiot.
...If you run around giving unsolicited advice, be ready to hear that nobody gives a fuck.
[–]FormlessAllness 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Kid got run over in my town by a drunk driver 6 months ago. He's dead. Yep revenue helps that. My friend was hit by a drunk driver, his truck flew off the highway, he's dead. Got to watch his 90 year old father and best friends and girl friend cry over his casket.
Take the tinfoil hat off. If you can function over the limit they won't pull you over. They only pull you over dipshit if you failing to hold your lane and driving impaired.
Honestly bro, alpha rule 101. Me and this gentleman had a nice exchange, seem to be on the same page and you choose to pick up the sword of that old jackass. No one agrees with his opinion or his old ass logic but you. You literally are picking a loser's argument to inflate your ego. This makes you look like a clown. Take responsibility for your fucking actions princess, learn some social dynamics and remove the tinfoil hat. I'm sure twochromosomes will be a better community for you.
[–]SovereignSoul76 -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Haha, a nice exchange? Is that what you call it when you end the last comment with "...you are presenting yourself as an old dumbass"? Doesn't seem nice to me. Sound like you're just calling him an old dumbass.
Then I see you calling ME a lot of names, but not making a lot of sense; just emotional arguments about how it affected you.
My point was that you can't legislate morality, it's not about public safety, and you should try to keep your eyes and ears open more, and maybe flap your big mouth less. Nobody appointed you the Drunk Driving Czar. Get over yourself.
[–]FormlessAllness 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
....are you okay? I was referring to my exchange with the op.
[–]SovereignSoul76 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Haha. I hope your ego doesn't hurt from reading a salient and focused argument from someone intelligent.
You should switch sides and just be a SJW. Because you suck at arguing facts. It's all ad-hominem attacks and derailment with you; you'd fit in perfectly.
[–]RACCBL[S] -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I had 5 or 6 beers, just enough to wake up dehydrated. I don’t remember mentioning that I got that much drunk. Anyway, small town, no Uber, almost no cabs between midnight and 6am, no traffic. It’s not safe to drive drunk, but if you pay attention and take your time there’s no real danger. But I sure don’t advocate doing that in a big city.
[–]FormlessAllness 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
It's risky to do that in suburban places because you think you are safe and bam you hit a tree. A ton of people in my suburban community died being buzzed on a familiar road. It fucking sucks living where there is zero public transportation. To have an adult social life especially for picking up girls you kinda have to drive somewhat impaired. The hangover part made me think you got shitfaced. I was thinking you got the projectile vomiting, migraine can't eat anything hangover.
I usually pregame with two ounce shots of straight vodka in the car. Straight to my face. Walk into the bar and grab a beer or another shot based on my calories left (yes track your calories and macros, always, MyFitnessPal, it will change your body). I usually get a nice bus but it only lasts like 45 minutes. So for an nba game, a beer each quarter. I cut it by the mid way of third and drink water. Probably five glasses because I enjoy eating ice. Shitty habit but it's unlimited.
[–]yes_we_can_t 7 points8 points9 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Feminism? Driving after drinking is fucking idiotic, not just because you can get caught by the police. Leave your damn car at home if you're going out drinking. It's not hard to plan around.
[–]Raikkonen716 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Fuck this shit, when you drive you never drink. Simple as that. I hear people dying every weekend because someone who was drunk/on drugs decided to drive a car.
[–]Compeliminator -5 points-4 points-3 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
i grew up before all this oh my fucking god we must be safe at all costs shit. before car seats bicycle helmets etc etc. i dont know anyone who thinks its a good idea to drive truly drunk but i remember the way they used to handle it
[–]Lenoh 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
And I grew up having lost my best Kindergarten friend to a drunk shithead like you.
I give a fuck how old you are; a buzzed driver and a drunk driver can hit the same kid and splatter him the same amount over the road.
[–]Compeliminator -3 points-2 points-1 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
yep people die every day from all kinds of shit. i would bet 10 times more people die from people driving destracted from texting etc. i havent hurt anyone much less killed anyone so unless and untill i do knock off the name calling

You can't have it both ways, Drunk Shithead. Either you have thick enough skin to take some criticism for being a piece of shit on a public board or you hide and cry like a little bitch in your safe space brought to you by that same feminism you disparage and denigrate so much.

I almost NEVER go out in a group. Flying solo is the way to go. If you go with a group, you will probably end up only talking to members of your group the whole night.
Some advice though, put away your damned phone. Forget it exists. Don't even look at the thing. I usually just grab a seat at the bar and talk to whoever comes up. Most of the time a conversation comes out of it. Sometimes they even invite me over to join their group. If you're looking at your phone you won't have a good read on the room. GET OFF THE PHONE.

Exactly how it should be. Let it flow. Fuck all this prescribed red pill theory crap. Just do it and leave the rest to chance.
[–]BullshittingNonsense 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
If you just lose yourself and not care, you will naturally be Red Pill. It's men's natural state.
Unless you're so blue pill that you're beyond hope, but most of us just suffer from lack of action. Action is all there is. Modern life has sucked that out of us. Just do it.
JUST DO IT

Completely agree. I'm 30 years old, I have many close friends in my city, but they don't want to go out like we used to in our twenties. Sometimes it is hard to get motivated to get out of the house when you're going out by yourself. I just tell myself; go to a bar and have one drink and if it's lame then leave. The goal is to go out and have one drink. Forget about anything beyond that. So I go out with that goal, end up chatting with people, making friends, and having an awesome time. More often than not I meet girls and get dates as well.
[–]RACCBL[S] 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Nice way to start. Little investment and high reward. People don’t realize what I said in the beginning of the post: alcohol, low light and music make people very social. They gonna start talking to you out of nowhere. It’s the kind of situation that doesn’t happen that easily in day to day life.
[–]trpthrowaway2003 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Especially considering that is the general reason everyone is there in the first place.
[–]RedPilledGodEmperor 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
But that's ok, I still have my friends, right? No. Although we hangout a lot, they are not available any time I want, so it's not okay to depend on them to have fun.
I'm coming to this realization. I live with three roommates who I have been friends with or whatever since college. All three are now in relationships and obviously spend time with their girlfriends, so I don't really have many other people to hang out with, since a lot of people from my college I was friends with moved and all that. I think I might start doing night outs alone. I would rather go out alone and maybe have a good night, than stay home and do nothing, because I don't have someone to do it with. Definitely gonna put effort into making friends though.
As an FYI, definitely use uber instead of driving for nights out
[–]NeoreactionSafe 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Erase from your mind the idea you need others to go out.
I've been doing bar, beer garden, and festival things for about 25 years (I'm 56) and I regret that it wasn't until I was 30 before I became comfortable with the idea of "being my own man" and doing things indpendently.
Go out on your own.
Obviously if you have security fears (truly dangerous neighborhoods) then get a gang to provide some mutual protection (though in truly dangerous areas even that won't help) but if you are in an urban upscale area with tons of hot young babes your crime will be low.
[–]BrutalBuccaneer2 points 9 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link
Hey young guy here never been to a bar but I want to. Any tips?
[–]NeoreactionSafe 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
You might want to practice drinking alcohol in an environment like hanging out with your buddies at home first.
Alcohol tends to narrow your focus and create "tunnel vision". It also increases your emotional involvement. Until you are mature enough to handle all that you can get yourself into trouble if you go in too inexperienced.
Don't be the guy who gets sick on his first bar night.
[–]BrutalBuccaneer1 points 9 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link
Oh no I mean like I've drunk before, been to a pub crawl and also saw that I had high capacity.
I meant more like advice for going solo. Never done it so it's kind of intimidating.
[–]NeoreactionSafe 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Just go out and start talking with people.
Have no real agenda just see where it goes.
If women are there you can approach them too.
[–]Pitchfork51 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Going to the bar alone is fine. If you can't go to a bar alone and meet people you need to work on being more fun.
[–]wheel_ 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Good stuff. One thing, though: if you're going solo, it's a low expectation night. So I don't see the point of getting trashed. I bet you spent more money and pushed your liver more than what the night was really worth.
Other than that, good job.
[–]RACCBL3 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
It seems to me that I passed to wrong impression on the drunk part. People are commenting thinking that I got hammered. I had 5 or 6 beers. Just enough to wake up dehydrated and with a minor headache because of it.

When you exchange your coins for gas filling up your car, "Fun" was not part of that transaction which resulted in the guy profiting from various legs of the operation getting rich and affording choice ladies 3 times out of your league.
What does this even mean, and how is it relevant to the conversation?
[–]Christian5111 points 9 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link
if you want to help other people its not always going to be nice and encouragement, there's also going to be constructive criticism. i agree with anon on the points that alcohol is very bad for self improvement and your post will influence some guys to think its okay to use alcohol to be more social which is bad even if you didn't mean it,but well done for taking action.
[–]trpthrowaway2003 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

However, the extent the person I was responding to was taking it was over the top.

You're past the danger zone. You cannot handle anyone replying to your comments on a social message board about open mindedness if it is sarcastic. I'm where you want to be financially, sexually, and ideologically.
[–]trpthrowaway2003 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The more you drink, the sorrier you'll be when you're older. So you're advocating self destruction, which is blue pill.
Drinking alcohol is not blue pill.
If you don't like to drink, that is fine and more power to you.
you are doing this sub a dis-service by posting because you're leading people away from the goal, not towards it.
This type of post is exactly the type of thing beginners need to see. He forced himself out of his comfort zone and is a better man because of it.
Who cares if he needed a little liquid courage to take the first step, he's not an alcoholic or addicted because of that fact.
I'm where you want to be financially, sexually and ideologically, and this whole post doesn't sit right with me, I don't like it.
What you are trying to do, is project your personal morals onto someone pursuing their goals simply because you don't agree with his consumption of alcohol.
[–]Johnny_S2 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
While I aggree with some points you've made here, that's not completely true. I was an alcoholic, drinking heavy 2-3 times a week.
That is really damaging and not good, but drinking occasionally or throwing down some shots in a party won't kill you. It helps a lot, especially if you are a little socially awkward. Like OP said it's the perfect social lubricant.
I've picked up most of my girls in bars and clubs, while dancing. I am a fucking Johnny Castle in the dance floor. I'm not kidding. But ONLY when I drink. I don't even go near the dance floor if I'm sober. So it helps, to a certain extent, ofc I'm not talking about getting yourself wasted and making a fool out of yourself.
