Isn't that mostly perspective though? I mean that is exactly what we are told: if you are single at 40 and still hanging out at bars you are this creepy messed up guy who never grew up.

But we all know that simply isn't true. There are plenty of men in their 30s and 40s anchored to dead marriages secretly envying exactly what is being discussed.

Maybe the game just needs to evolve? Maybe don't go to the same types of bars at 40 that you would go to in your 20s and 30s. If I was in an upscale club in some metro area, and I see some well dressed guy working his game, I am going to assume he is single, wealthy, and has a big dick. But if he is still at Joe Blows college dive looking for sorority girls, yeah that is not a flattering perception.

The narrative really changes when you change the perspective.

I'm in the same boat.

The only ones I seem to actually become interested in sadly are Narcassist types or Borderlines.

No idea why, maybe because they are more interesting and hot and cold and it gives me more of a chase. Sadly, they are also the most drama. I don't want to tell everyone to follow that.

Interestingly enough, all my friends are married to these types of women and they all had oneitus for them.

The one I'm currently seeing is similar to all their wives, the question I have to ask is do I want to be the married committed guy, or the 30+ year old who keeps slaying and not "growing up"

Fuck that noise. The only issue I have with bars is one, I don't drink & two, one night stand bar sluts don't really interest me as I like repeat business. I'm what these bitches want, 41yo, I make bank with career, home all of it. Maybe it's where I live but a LOT of women aren't worth approaching. To fat, covered with tats, etc. I have high standards. Point being, I still have my pick just have to choose what flavor I want.

I'm totally with you man, 27 and witnessing the change amongst my peers while I refuse to settle down. Though I'd like to think that you can still have "the chase" in a committed relationship, e.g., someone who challenges you or drives you crazy in a good way, I think for some people the satisfaction of the chase needs to come from work. Not sure what you do, but maybe you need to be applying this pattern with women to your work, keep going after things and setting further goals.
