So this currently on the top of /r/Sports today

Neymar's brain activity while playing is less than 10% of the level of amateur players, suggesting he plays as if on auto-pilot, according to a study by Japanese neurologists. It is thought this applies to all elite players.

And it made me realize the same thing applies to getting good at talking with women, at first you will suck, your jokes will be lame, your body language will show weakness, you'll stutter and you'll screw up, but if you keep practicing and practicing until it become ingrained in your brain, it will eventually becomes second nature and you can talk to women without consciously worrying about what your going to say next. It will just flow

Same thing with sports, at first you wont even be able to dribble a ball, you'll get tunnel vision during a game, you'll choke under pressure, and think excessively on what move you should make next etc. But if you practice enough eventually you will be on autopilot, which is the holygrail of any learned skill.

TLDR; The holygrail of game is being able to game without even thinking about it or any conscious effort. The only way to reach this zen like state is practice, practice, practice.
