In person. Hands down. Online, you are competing against tons of dudes, so the women tend to feel highly entitled and are able to up their standards. So a girl that's a 6 thinks she deserves an 8 when online.

In person, hands down. But not because of the quality of women. I prefer to meet women in person because it keeps me honest about the kind of man I want to be. I don't want to ever hide behind an online profile again. I want to be up close and personal, communicate my confidence face to face, and assess what kind of woman I'm dealing with from the very beginning. Anything less is a waste of my time and energy.

I don't pick up any of the women I meet online from dating websites. That shit is a huge waste of your time in my opinion. My view is that only gold digging sluts go on those sites cause it's like they're ordering men from a menu complete with full resume. I refuse to be reduced to a set of numbers. My life has more meaning than that. The very places that advertise finding love and relationships are always the worst ways to meet women.

The way I meet girls online, who aren't primarily concerned about my bank account, is almost always happenstance. Once, I met a girl through Yahoo Answers like five or six years ago. Then there's online games with voice chat where I have the most success. (I play to my strengths, and my voice gets lots of compliments.) One on Omegle, if you can believe it. Chatrooms are okay too, although they aren't really much better than dating sites. The advantage is that you're getting to know people by personality first before any talk of dating comes up, but I caution you to be very up front with webcam. You don't wanna waste your time talking to a whale you'd never want to fuck, no matter how great she sounds in text. Women lie like fucking crazy in chatrooms, and one of the biggest lies is, "I don't have a webcam." It's 2013 and you're telling me your laptop doesn't have a webcam, or that it's broken? Bullshit. It's always bullshit. Never believe that lie. If they refuse to turn it on after you call them out on it, it's because they know they're low value or just want to play you for the attention high. Next them.

I prefer meeting them in person for a lot of reasons. They can't lie about their looks and weight, and I can just go straight into seducing them if I think they're worth my time. It's also much simplier because you can knock out a bitch shield much faster in person than you can online. There's no smoke and mirrors for them to hide behind in that sense.

I'm a good looking guy, but even though online I do make a killing I have to hand it to in person. Catfishing, bullshitting, all that stuff can be bypassed by just meeting people in person. I think of the 15+ dates I went on, all but one girl was not who they were in person and had zero interesting things going on.

EDIT: If you're picking up skanks and you just want to supplement your skank supply, then online dating is the bees knees. Otherwise stay faaaaar away.

My most successful dates are friends-of-friends I meet IRL. This is both for enjoyment of them as people, and for success rate with sex. My friends and solid, and will hook up people they know who are both into casual sex.

I prefer to approach people in person. I prefer people with similar hobbies and interest. Being socially active allows you to skip traditional dating. You can ask them to do a hobby you enjoy or hangout after. You generally waste less time or money doing something you enjoy over traditional dating.

If you pursue online dating you'll generally get a lot of women that don't measure up in real life; they look a lot different in the real world than they appear online. In my opinion the women you meet online generally have inflated egos. Also, many will try to exploit you for free meals/drinks.

TLDR: Fuck online dating. Build your social circle and develop social skills in the real world.

You need to transcend ego to be successful at online dating, I recommend spending years learning ego death through eastern mysticism and hallucinogenic travel, yes, I am serious. Why? Because you'll never have success with online dating as a man, even myself, a top 10% man compared to the general population who does well online without ever trying sees it for the shitshow waste of time that it is.

It serves two purposes for women: Ego validation and hypergamy on overdrive. The third issue is that women do not take online dating seriously unless they have no other options and hence will not take you seriously if you meet online. Desirable women have options presented to them on a daily basis hence the vast majority will not go online, leaving maybe 1 in 20 women online worth dating (note I said dating, not fucking and chucking) and they are all going for the very top few percent of men. They will actively disqualify you for anything in your profile, even something you had no idea they cared about. It's fucking brutal if you can't handle it.

If you must wade into the online dating world (the hardest way to meet quality women) you need to keep your profile as short as possible, keep 1 or 2 good pictures, send short messages, respond with short messages, do your best to move to text right away, and meet asap. If she doesn't want to meet, move on right away.
