It's crazy for me to see all the hate coming to this subreddit simply because taking the pill honestly wasn't that hard for me. Most of the main ideas we talk about (hypergamy, hamsters) I think I subconsciously already knew from my experience with women. It just didn't click till I got here.

Reading all the comments, I've noticed that it's almost entirely personal attacks against us. Not one person I've seen so far has made a conscious effort to really refute any of our ideas. They just keep name calling or saying that our way of thinking is "fucked up". Well, yeah. That's why it's called the red pill.

[–]Modredpillschool 8 points9 points10 points 13 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I have a standing offer for a real debate, and not one person who supposedly disagrees has ever taken me up on it.

[–]md619 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That's a shame. A formal debate between either you (or someone else from here) against one of the mods from r/feminism or whatever would be something to watch.

So they quote someone that was downvoted in this subreddit to represent this subreddit...

The attempts at shaming this subreddit have increased a lot the last few weeks so I guess we're striking a nerve with people.

I said it when /r/seduction was getting shamed constantly, when /r/MensRights was getting shamed, and i'll say it again as this subreddit takes it's turn on the "stop trying to improve the quality of life for men!" carousel, the idea that men have options in society scares the shit out of some people.

[–]JamesRyder 10 points11 points12 points 13 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

If you look into it, every single revolution in history that overthrew a government was orchestrated by young men. Of course they're damn scared that we have options.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points15 points 13 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

If you look into it, every single revolution in history that overthrew a government was orchestrated by young men.

I don't like relating things like this to what people have done in the past or even in the context over overthrowing anything.

My point is mainly that people laugh at the idea of things like the friend zone and then get angry at the person that does something to fix the situation/get himself out of the friendzone, people are against gender roles but get freaked out when guys think it's bullshit that they have to pay for dinners or dates, they hate nice guys but hate anyone giving a guy advice about how to avoid that label, they want men to take charge of their lives but only when it's in a controllable way, and when guys are frustrated/pissed off with the way things are they're labeled bitter in attempt to shut them up.

Men aren't allowed to do things to improve their situations in life unless it directly benefits someone else.

[–]JamesRyder 10 points11 points12 points 13 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I'm just saying that all this emasculation and oppression of men is part of a wider attempt at preventing challenges to those in power. The feminists have key institutions in education and government stitched up and the attitude that women have today is coming from the top down rather than the bottom up. This is the context in which all this crap exists and (to me at least) makes it easy to understand the point of these contradictions.

Women in general are attracted to a strong, red pill man who is an individualist. However they also want their government benefits and/or husband's money. If every man was a red pill man there'd be none of this affirmative action, single mother welfare crap.

[–]Modredpillschool 8 points9 points10 points 13 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Indeed, women depend on both alphas and betas for their mating strategy. Marxism is the perfect cultivation of the beta garden. It would be a death blow to them for us to take that away.

[–]JamesRyder 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Did you see Erin Pizzey's AMA today? She was making excellent points from her first hand knowledge of Feminism being a primarily Marxist ideology. It's here if anyone missed it:

http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1cbrbs/hi_im_erin_pizzey_ask_me_anything/

[–]Hoodwink 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The influence of Marxist thinking on Feminism is widely known. The big gap in patriarchy theory is the fact that women basically had no role to play and just did what the men wanted. It's as if women never did anything to influence social and cultural society until the 1900's or 1950's. Patriarchy theory tends to rely on males economic power as the construction of social relations and totally ignores women's choices, preferences, and biology (with the exception of pregnancy).

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Marxism is the perfect cultivation of the beta garden.

I dunno about this man, betas seem to be worse off than ever at present day, with women receiving enormous benefits from the state. Take away a beta's ability to funnel all his free time into cash and he can't even afford hookers anymore. And with all things economic being equal, the alpha males will win out every time. Which is exactly what has been happening recently in America.

[–]Modredpillschool 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ah, sorry, I mean it's perfect in their mind. It is obviously backfiring.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ahh, see your point now ~

Yes, definitely backfiring =]

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I agree with you that this is all part of something much bigger than just a gender equality movement. Someone is orchestrating this emasculation and degradation of moral character from behind the scenes.

[–]JamesRyder 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Much of this is part of the continuing struggles started in the 20th century. There are people for example who still think there's been no such thing as "true Marxism" and are still trying to implement it, a lot of these are the feminist/socialist types. The people protesting at the UofT against the MRAs were members of the Canadian Socialist Workers Party for example.

The idea is that if more than 50% of the population can be made to become dependent on the state, then a party can rely on being elected forever by these people. The natural in-group bias present in women makes them easily swayed by Marxist arguments. Men do not have this bias, and are more likely to react violently when oppressed, so they are the enemy. As a result, government is seeking to socialize males into becoming weak and impotent so they are not a threat. Any males that don't fall prey to this are likely to be taken out by the family court system who will confiscate their kids and take so much of their money that they are wage slaves until they die and are prevented from passing their views onto their children as a result.

In the Soviet union for example a woman could label any man the father of her child and he would pay support or be imprisoned. Since wages were fixed if 3 or more women did this to you then they had no money and were essentially a non-person from that point on. This was used to suppress the males and take out any political dissidents as they saw fit. As a historian the parallels I see are uncanny. I feel we have to act because I foresee a time when even the best of us, like those here, will be no longer able to game the system to our advantage.

EDIT Source: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mensrights/message/7734

It's staggering, the same thing was happening 100 years ago.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You are spot on.

The Marxist style agenda for America comes to mind here.

[–]soapjackal 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Remember it's all under the guise that somehow these young men are still ultra-privileged.

Ultra-privileged: The option to spend your entire sexless life working hard and earning shit tons of money so it can be taken away by the nanny state and restributed to the helpless women who have suffered under the oppression of your masculinity, because that one time you made a dongle joke... remember?

It's good they are finally admitting their purpose - to shame men they disagree with

Welll, whoever the OP was, spousal rape is possible. Rape is just sex without consent.

Some studies show that 30% of college-aged women engage in token resistance (or in PUA-lingo, LMR) for whatever reason and it is likely that most of us who believe in the "take it when I want it" attitude have encountered this on more than one occasion. A wife or a LTR partner is someone who has a lot of comfort with you and so the take it when you want it attitude is much easier to get away with. That being said, I once lightly and then strongly choked a woman (Ph.D candidate, tall, skinny, leggy, amazing smile) during sex on the third date, that's how comfortable they get with me. And she asked me to do it again later. I miss her.

Spousal rape is just rape but what these people don't understand is that some men are able to inspire a comfort and at the same time, have their women subconsciously allow them to act out whatever rape fantasies they have without it ever being rape. I'm told that most women's romance novels have exactly this aspect of male dominance in them.

"Neither is to deny sex to the other..."

Sex within marriage has already been consented to.

[–]TRP Vanguardnicethingyoucanthave 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

wait, you can't possibly be a christian. What TRP means to me is accepting the naturally evolved biological baseses for our behaviors. It is as non-creationism as it is non-cultural constructivist

[–]Modredpillschool 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not personally religious, which is why I haven't taken part in the religious institution of marriage.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Both people have to consent to that agreement and in Western society, they don't really. If you get married, you MUST talk about this with your wife beforehand.

If you want a woman who always wants sex, get someone who validates themselves through sex. Someone who has been sexually abused as a child, maybe.

I don't recommend that though because they have other fucked up issues.

[–]Modredpillschool 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh, I'm not saying marriage isn't ruined in western society. It is. Marriage is completely destroyed.

But where marriage isn't, the idea is simple: Marriage is an agreement to exclusive (and therefore unlimited) access to sex.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

While spousal rape is real, I'd have to say this: if your wife refuses sex for any reason other than a medical one, it should be grounds for no fault divorce for the man. Most women who engage in actively refusing their husbands sex, are doing so because they know the cards are in their hands. If she refuses sex long enough, the husband will basically have no option other than to cheat, at which point she will be able to divorce rape her husband while simultaneously playing the victim card. Or in other words, a woman refusing her husband sex, is basically the moral equivalent of a husband cheating on his wife.

[–]be_tru 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep. I don't see how having sex with other people is any worse than NOT having sex with your husband. Just realized this is why I never felt bad about sleeping with other girls when my ex gf would frequently refuse sex.

I've watched this transformation gradually happen over the past few weeks/months. First they started shaming anyone who wore a fedora, then guys with neckbeards, then atheists and "nice guys" became enemy #1, then the majority of posts seemed to be creep-shaming guys who unsuccessfully flirted with girls on Facebook but this is the most blatant one yet.

No matter what your opinion on "spousal rape" is, no one could possibly find this cringey. Someone doing a poor Gangnam Style dance is cringey, someone with an opinion you disagree with may make you rage but it certainly shouldn't make you cringe.

This makes me feel that the whole sub is essentially a front for an SRS style organization. I know SRS has (not so) surreptitiously gained control of certain subreddits in the past such as /r/communism which they now use to promote their agenda. Could this have happened with /r/cringepics? Or am I reading too much into this?

[–]soapjackal 9 points10 points11 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Reading to much into it.

Yes the spousal rape comment is posted everywhere as supreme evidence that /r/theredpill is Satan's playground, and yes it's not really cringe worthy, but r/SRS is just a symptom, most modern males have white knight instincts brainwashed in so it's unlikely that this post if it were posted anywhere else would get any different reaction.

Good strategy, we should try that.

I'm really looking forward to red pill stuff getting the critical mass it needs to actually accomplish something. Poolside isn't a viable long term strategy.

[–]Endorsed ContributorTDCRedPill 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not sure how much I agree with that. 'Critical mass it needs to actually accomplish something' sounds like this is a movement of sorts, like there is an objective that needs to be accomplished. IMO, red pill hasn't ever been about things like that. The only goal of red pill has been and should continue to be attempting to show and explain a model for social and sexual relationships, and opinions on their application ('this is why marriage is a bad idea for men'/'this is how I acted to get the reaction and attraction I wanted'/'stay away from Toronto')

The beauty is that its a a theory, one that be applied and tested against; we're trying to nail down facts and patterns in the human condition. There's no difference against such things as evolution, heliocentricity, germ theory, etc. All we have to do is have the information available, and as long as it continues to hold true, it will gain acceptance on its own. Detractors will always exist, just like the other theories I mentioned. If it doesn't gain widespread acceptance, oh well. Weaker competition for us if we're right, social hiccup if we're not. The changing of things outside of the theories should be left for the MRAs.
