People think that way because there is no longer anything that even resembles a uniformly accepted definition of the word "rape".

Think about it: You read some post in /r/sex or /r/relationship_advice and some female casually mentions "I was raped when I was in college". Without further explanation, does the reader have any genuine idea of what happened to this girl in college?

I'm going to push charges and I demand punishment! No, women are capable of all the things men can do, but only when it's positive for the woman, like sports or certain jobs. I think she's talking more about psychological or emotional 'rape'. She's using the term out of context and very loosely but I can understand what she means.
