TLDR - girlfriend of 1 year gets abusive. Clears out her stuff and leaves. Overhears i had a date, going to the gym and have moved. Now wants back in.

So my now ex girlfriend moved out a couple of weeks ago. Prior to that she had been jealous, possessive, controlling, physically and mentally abusive.

So thats her. I was playing into every shit test imaginable. Trying every way i knew to tell her i was faithful to her blah blah you get the picture. When she left i went to r/breakup and then found TRP. Been reading posts for 2 weeks straight thinking half may be stories and that my ex isnt like it. Though that all changed when she called me up after no contact for at least 2 weeks. After the whole "its nice to hear your voice" it turns out that as soon as she went single on social media she received tons of requests from other guys. It bothers her that this doesnt bother me. I use the 'i had my time with you.' She then diverts to shit testing me. "I heard you went on a date?" Shes fishing but instead of "how do you know?" I went with "yeah it was good fun." This does not go down well. She then calms herself and says "my friend has seen you at the gym 3 times this week." Followed by "you never called me or travelled to my parents to come get me." I then said "ive been busy moving" to which she says "oh how come...where are you living? Who with? Is it sharing with just guys?"

By this time it is obvious the tide is turning. I then tell her that im busy helping my sister with some DIY to which she says "oh i didnt know you could do that. Listen please reconsider us being permanently over. I feel like we have both made a mistake."

Call ended. Her agenda was to make me a beta. Leave to see what her market value is. Then come back to a subservient partner who shows signs of being alpha again. Who knows if she fucked other guys but its not my problem. I had my time with her.

I genuinely thought before as im sure others may have that TRP isnt applicable to "my girl" ...it is.
