Statistically speaking (according to that wonderful OKcupid study) ALL men of all ages want a woman that is 22. PERIOD. There's no arguing with statistics. Women by contrast want men that are -3/+2 their own age. The disconnect is enormous.

So yes, all women over the age of 22 will always and forever be disappointed and slightly bitter because the further they get from 22 the less desirable they are. And remember, that's not an opinion. That's math.

I spent my youth travelling, joining the military, starting a business and generally enjoying myself. It was only the last few years that I turned towards career and finances and now at 48 I might take a stab at settling down. Guess what? My bride to be will be at least 15 years younger, if not 20+ years younger (my current girlfriend is 26) because I actually want to have children, and a "mature" woman can't do that without all sorts of possible complications. Having my own "midlife crisis" through my 20s and 30s and only now thinking about matrimony means that by the time that marriage drives me to the insanity that would normally trigger a mid-life crisis, I will be dead. No divorce rape: here's my will, goodbye.

Maturity, intelligence, personality, etc, is not based upon age for women. There's correlation to some degree, but certainly not causation - simply having more years under your belt of being a "city girl" will often strip you of maturity in many ways. Girls think becoming jaded and cynical after getting pumped and dumped a lot means they are now "grown up" - then they get mad when guys go for the girls before that phase. The ones who still have ambitions, ideals, personality, etc, that hasn't been completely been washed by years of trying to relive college in the big city as a grown woman.

Certainly many young woman 18-22 are immature and undateable simply because they are spoilt little girls. On the other hand, you have many who peak at that age in terms of intelligence - before they've settled down into their HR career and given up their goal of wanting to become a X or Y because they partied through college. Before they've spent years trying to find salvation in the form of fun guy dick and putting up their weekend (and weekday) exploits on instagram.

Society has this idea that life experience automatically makes you more mature, capable, and so on. That is actually not necessarily true at all, and one of the fundamental ideas of RP; Life experience only makes you more mature if you learn from it and face the cold truth of what's in front of you again and again. Women do not have to learn from reality, so simply aging does nothing for their maturity.

This is why the shit talk that the HR team at work does is exactly, exactly like the high school clique gossip. This is why 30-40+ y/o women today behave exactly like high school girls, just with a thicker coat of make-up. Go to any club that isn't a known preteen spot and ask the bouncers who causes more trouble, young chicks or older chicks.

Men can also fail to mature, which is resulting in a shit ton of BP example posts that IMO TRP needs to chill with. But because men have to grow and learn from real life experiences, face ugly truths, and abandon our childhood ways in order to get a decent work and sex life, most do mature as time passes.

Maturity has to come from one party in a relationship, like leadership and direction and so on. One person needs to provide it in a relationship where you have a healthy masculine / feminine dynamic. Why the FUCK would I need her to be mature? I worked my ass off in my 20s, dealt with all kinds of shit, etc, I have enough maturity for her and her sorority sisters.

In more affluent, educated circles, it's very common and encouraged. Yet, these same people run the media telling the world to do the opposite of what they do. Look at JFK and his Sister Caroline Kennedy - both had marriages with 12 year or more age gaps. I will always tell my daughters to see older men.

Hamstering, plain and simple.

Older women are in denial about the fact that their attractiveness is inextricably tied to their youth and that when they hit the wall they will have drastically fewer options. So their hamster will work overtime and the result is that when they see a guy roughly their age seeking out or dating women much younger than her (and himself) they have to construct some alternate reality whereby the man is somehow defective or what he is doing is somehow morally offensive and disgusting. She cannot bring herself to accept that he is going after younger girls simply because he wants to, because younger girls are more attractive and valuable than she is. And you have to pity them; imagine the fantasy you would feed yourself to avoid facing the fact that once the first 30% of your life is over, you are a depreciating asset regardless.

It's exactly the same as the fiasco with Patricia Arquette's little 'equal pay for women' speech at the Oscars recently. She roared about how 'it's time women finally got equal pay!' and every rational guy who happens across this is thinking 'what the fuck is this multi-millionaire actress bitch talking about?'

But in her post-speech interview, it becomes a little clearer what she was talking about:

Question: Golden Globes, it was a bit of a joke that women over 40 struggle to get jobs as an actress. Why do you think that is?

Answer: Because I think men over 40 don't want to be cast with women who are their real age, I guess. I mean, I find it funny. Sometimes you will have someone like Harrison Ford in a movie, but the woman cast opposite him isn't three or four years younger than him like in real life. That is generally how he mates as a species. Somehow will have a 20 years younger. I mean, that is the ridiculous thing.

We have to call bullshit on that. Like, come on people. Cast appropriate to your leading men's age at least. Let's start there.

And what do you know, essentially it's the same shit about women depreciating in value with age - because it works the same in the acting industry as it does in the sexual marketplace: hot, young bitches get all the roles (just like they get all the men) but as they edge closer to the wall and they lose their physical appeal, suddenly they become less in demand, they have fewer opportunities and when they do get a job, they can't demand the same level of salary as they could when they were 20 because they are simply worth less (exactly how post-wall women have fewer options in the sexual marketplace and can't demand the same level of man as they could when they were 20 and hot).

If you watch the speech on youtube, notice how the footage during the speech shows Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lopez foaming at the mouth and punching the air in support of Arquette's hamstering bullshit? Hmmm, I wonder, what do Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lopez have in common with Patricia Arquette? Patricia Arquette, 46, POST WALL. Jennifer Lopez, 45 POST WALL. Meryl Streep, 65, so far gone SHE CAN'T EVEN SEE THE WALL.
