I think its great tool for also "not getting women" in the sense you should be very wary of 30+ walllers who are trying to settle for you.

Women are the byproduct. So many in here that are still angry and want to get laid. Totally missing the point.

You're here to become a man, men get laid. If you're here to get laid, you're skipping the most important step

What is this?

[–]Spamcock 9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yup about a year or 2 years ago i would of been happy to have some single mom left over but TRP made me realise that just by opening my eyes and disregarding what they say and watching what they do and someone like that is just trouble, not to mention i was invisible to those kind of people in their prime years, i am not cleaning up after the CC whilst being used like a butler to kids that are not mine

I may never be alpha but damned if iam signing into modern relationships now and being one of those suckers, its realy made me realise iam not really missing out relationship wise with the lack of loyalty displayed by modern women

It starts out as "getting women" but at the end of the de-pedestalization process comes a transitional realization that it is about so much more.

TRP is about maximizing your value as a man in every aspect of your life, a high value male is coveted in all social interactions and dynamics. This includes professional life, sex and love, family, social, metaphysical, spiritual and anything else that comes to mind.

When you reach this point in the internalization process, maximizing your value is takes priority, women are the last thing on your mind. The more your value increases, the more women chase you, and the more they chase you the less you need them.

[–]darkstar505 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Am I proud of the person I am? This is the most important aspect of TRP for me.

This very much. I will be satisfied with my life when I am proud of myself and my achievements, not what others think of me.

Also, to me, TRP is about the relativation the importance of (getting) women. What I learned from TRP is that it is not the main goal in life and a man that gets a lot of women is not necessarily a "man". Instead, life should be about making YOUR own choices, achieving YOUR goals and making YOUR dreams come true. Getting women is just a positive side-effect out of that.

Improv Wisdom by Patricia Madson (available on libgen). I haven't seen this recommended here before but I happened across it yesterday and finished it today.

Obviously not a courtship book, but if you are steeped enough in redpill already, you'll find there's a lot of valuable material intermixed with the bluepill. Takes ~4 hours to read and very good at giving practicable advice.

Some quotes:

“We often substitute planning, ruminating, or list-making for actually doing something about our dreams.”

“practice your art every day, lower your standards, and claim a time or place or an attitude that will challenge your bourgeois idea of reality. Giving up on perfection is the first step"

Maxim 7: Face the Facts. “The Japanese have a word for this rule: arugamama. It is the virtue of abiding with things as they are. It implies a realistic and responsive approach to life. It is essential in good improv and provides sensible advice for ordinary life.”

“Dealing well with people we like is easy; the mark of a fine improviser is his ability to work skillfully, kindly, and respectfully with those with whom he has difficulty.”

Maxim 8: Stay on course. “an improvisation always has a point. It is never simply “whatever.” “Instead of asking, “What do I feel like doing?” substitute “What is my purpose now”

“We need to let go of outcomes. When you make a mistake, turn your attention to what comes next. Focus on doing that well, with full mind and heart. Look ahead, not back.”

I suggest The Meditations By Marcus Aurelius - http://classics.mit.edu/Antoninus/meditations.html

Also the tao the Ching by Lao tzu - http://www.with.org/tao_te_ching_en.pdf (There's many translations of this text so I'd look into other if you can)

Those are books that are good to be re read Over time. I also found the prophet by kahlil Gibran to be useful in my earlier years :) chapters are all on the side - http://www.katsandogz.com/gibran.html

Definitely worth reading Meditations, I would recommend buying the physical book aswell. Worth it's weight in gold.

Read an analytic news magazine. Perhaps the Economist, or something from the opposite side of the political spectrum (I dunno, perhaps the Atlantic?)

I find being able to intelligently discuss politics, economics and current events a good way to raise your value to others.

To that end I have started reading classics of literature and strategy.

Op knows what's up!

My interests tend to fall on the behavioral psychology side of things, but here's a few suggestions from my library:

  • Games People Play: The Basic Handbook of Transactional Analysis by Eric Berne

  • The Rational Male by Rollo Tomassi

  • The Rational Male - Preventive Medicine (Volume 2) by Rollo Tomassi

  • Power vs. Force by David R. Hawkins M.D. Ph.D.

  • Influence: Science and Practice by Robert B. Cialdini

  • The Lucifer Effect: Understanding How Good People Turn Evil by Philip Zimbardo

  • The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles by Steven Pressfield

  • What Do Women Want?: Adventures in the Science of Female Desire by Daniel Bergner

In my opinion, it's not just not all about women. In my opinion, it's not really about women at all.

The Red Pill (to me) is about self-improvement and being the best self you can be. Women are just an added bonus.

But what would I know?

[–]Chicago-JSO0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There's a book that was suggested back on the mASF forums, years ago. (Don't know if anyone here knows or remembers what that was). It's called the Feeling Good, The New Mood Therapy. Now at the time I was definitely dealing with some mild depression, which it helped me out of. But in retrospect I think it's still a good read for almost anyone, even people who are pretty self secure. I would strongly recommend you find an older edition. One from a while ago. The newer editions have been significantly toned down. But if you find an old edition, one from the 70's or 80's the first few pages alone are, kind of a sledge hammer to blue pill beliefs. (I've found a few at good will, salvation army for about $0.50 that's how I've seen the difference in editions, so it's not very expensive)

The goal of improving yourself has the side effect of attracting more women... of course once your eyes are opened many of these women are no longer attractive to you.

I will no longer date:

-a smoker
-a single mom
-a party girl
-a chubby
-an uneducated woman ( only highschool )
-a crass loud mouth
-a feminist
-a woman who can't cook
-a woman with a high partner count
-a woman that never works out

So.. each one of those cuts a huge chunk out of my viable dating pool.. these are not red flags or warnings to me.. each one is a deal breaker on it's own and many women out there have most of these deal breakers.

Ridiculous how this is the exact same list of me.

The only one in this list that I have dated is a feminist but that ended two months in and it was pre-TRP. In college right now and I cant date another girl who's not in college or has no conception of the work 'sacrifice'/time-management. Girls who are not educated think you are incredibly selfish with your time and as a result make every effort to get pregnant ' to stop you in your tracks'.

If you want to learn about business strategy-- I think Good Strategy / Bad Strategy is a decent place to start.

Jump into some Michael Porter after that and get the basis of how a 5 forces analysis works.

[–]beachbloke0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Do something 1v1 competitively. Doesn't matter what. Games, martial arts, etc. Apply all that shit you're learning. Become the best in the world.

[–]louiev1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Here are the books that allowed me to "understand" life in my 20's...Fight Club, The three pillars of zen, zen and the martial arts, the book of five rings, hagakure, and the prince.

[–]NeoreactionSafe-2 points-1 points0 points 11 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

Red Pill is designed to open your eyes at the most primal animalistic level and get you to see the true nature of man and woman. (we expose women for hypergamy and men for betaness)

Beyond Red Pill some will get to Neoreaction and Dark Enlightenment.

However, many will not broaden themselves with the "big picture" and will simply narrow themselves into an atomistic attitude of "Enjoy the Decline".

Red Pill becomes the base of two opposing viewpoints.

Neomasculinity (the Roosh spinoff) takes the Red Pill in the direction of Neoreaction (fertility positive), while Red Pill hosts a mix of the two sides.

[–]Kid_Crimson1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

However, many will not broaden themselves with the "big picture" and will simply narrow themselves into an atomistic attitude of "Enjoy the Decline".

I absolutely think you can hold both views simultaneously. They are not mutually exclusive.

I continue to improve and broaden myself in all areas since swallowing the Red Pill, while simultaneous learning to enjoy the decline. I'm not some nihilist who just likes to watch things burn, but the Red Pill is like afire proximity suit for the mind, and I find myself being less and less concerned with the fire that rages around me!

[–]NeoreactionSafe-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Enjoy the Decline means you accept your own ethnic suicide and choose infertility willingly.

To react is to realize you are being forced into death by the State and it's dysfunction.

The true Alpha male in a natural setting has a dozen children.

[–]Kid_Crimson0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

@NeoreactionSafe I don't disagree! But, post-modern western culture is far from being the "natural" setting it may once have been. That said, I have children and am looking forward to having more if/when the opportunity presents itself.

My comment was more in the spirit of the old environmentalist mantra of think globally and act locally. So, while I personally am doing what I can to influence people and events within my sphere, I am also fully cognizant of the inexorable slow-motion societal collapse of the modern west - and I position myself to take maximum advantage of it.

I choose to handle my own shit in a manner benefiting me and mine. I change what I can to my liking and I try to at least benefit in some way from the things I can't.

In other words, I'm more than happy to scoop up easy sex from deluded modern women AND stack paper by selling picks and shovels to the plugged in masses digging their own graves. I say live and let die!

...that my friend is how you enjoy the decline.

[–]NeoreactionSafe0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah... some cruelty... okay I get it.

Live and let die.

[–]ru-Alex -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would check: Oleg Novoselov - Women: A Textbook for Men.

You can get it on amazon. Very red pill, very insightful, yet the book is not very common in english speaking red pill community.
