TL;DR Fell for a girl for over 6 years. Thought she was into me after all this time, because now I have a good job, and am able to provide and take care of myself. Went to visit her and her sister for a weekend to try to seal the deal, went horribly. She's still not into me, and I admitted she probably never will be. But she'll regret rejecting me. (Now I know, she won't).

EDIT: Thank you guys. Not editing the body of text, but definitely seeing a problem in my thought process. Revenge isn't going to work. I'll do this for me.

Body:

I've known this girl for about 6 years, had a MAJOR case of oneitis. High school, we became close but she had a boyfriend at the time. When they broke up, I asked her to a school dance and she said yes, but she got back with him a week after she said yes to me. She said she still wanted to go to the dance with me, but I refused and said it'd just be too awkward. She moved out of town after high school. We kept in touch, but she kept me in the friend zone. Beta me kept tabs on her. We texted back and forth, mainly talking about emotional and deep things. How is life, how is family, how is your career, etc. She recently opened up to me about some extremely personal stuff, and I felt like she trusted me this way because she was falling for me, and maybe this was my chance to get her. I flew halfway across the country to get a room with her and her sister for a weekend in the city. We drank and had fun, but it was damn near impossible to get her alone, and I realize now that she brought her sister because she didn't want us to be alone. When I first arrived, after not having seen each other in 6 years, she didn't give me the reaction I expected. It was a light hug, with an extremely friendly tone, she definitely didn't miss me much. I thought maybe she was just tired or not a very physical person, but she just didn't have feelings for me. Then as the weekend wore on, I could tell she just wasn't attracted to me. You could see it in her eyes. When girls are attracted to a man, they look at him. They steal glances and can't help but appreciate with their eyes. She only looked at me when saying something, but mostly used her sister as a springboard and intermediary for our conversations. Anyway, the weekend was still fun, I made it a point to sightsee and enjoy the city on my own so I wouldn't feel like the trip was a waste or a failed attempt. I texted her after I got home and tried to start conversations again, but was met with one sentence replies from both her and her sister. Turns out she's still seeing the same guy that she was back then. I got really sad for a few days and then realized that I was sad because I didn't like myself enough. I have a good job, make good money for my age, am tall muscular jawboned, but still lacking a lot in personality. I get too quiet and forget how to have fun. So my next step is to really build a strong social circle.
