We all know, or should, that solipsism is one of the core aspects of the female mind. The inability to see the world through any other lens than their own, understand any motivation other than their own, or see things from any other perspective than their own. The way the world is to them, is the way the world just is.

Examples are everywhere. You say a female coworker looks tired and she attacks you. You actually meant tired, but she knows that when a woman says "tired" what she really means is "your makeup looks bad" or "you look old". She cannot understand you could possibly mean it any other way. Likewise when women brag about being "strong and independent women" as if men would like that. They like strong and independent men, so to them it becomes universally attractive. They do not understand that men do not see things that way and that most men view strong independent women as bitchy and domineering. And it goes on and on, a hot college girl saying "everyone has random sex in college". No hun, 80% of men don't.

But it got me thinking about Betas. Being a reforming Beta who still slips back into that mindset from time to time, I see some parallels. When I was at my most Beta points, it really came down to not understanding that woman think, act, and feel differently from men. I value being honest and straightforward, so I assumed women should. I keep my word and honor my promises, so I assumed women would. I say plainly what I do and don't like in a mate, so I assumed women would as well. I was treating women like men. I could not see that the world to a woman is fundamentally different than it is to a man. To a man 2+2=4. And of course, that's actually true. To a woman 2+2= whatever the group consensus says it does, or whatever is most popular, or whatever answer is easiest right now, and so forth.

I stumbled over this again and again. I would text a girl and she would just vanish. I treated her like a man and kept texting her asking if she was ok, thinking her phone broke, she lost service, etc. A woman would break plans and I would immediately try to confer with her to reschedule, just like I would with a buddy, only to have her lose interest and stop talking to me. And of course the big one: taking what women say they look for in a guy at face value. When a friend asks me to pick up a box of #2 wood screws at Lowes, I get 1 box of #2 wood screws because that's what he fucking asked for. A is A. I assumed when a women said "I want a kind, sweet, loving man who will talk to me about his feelings, treat me like an equal, and not be afraid to open up to me about his struggles" she meant exactly that. Of course we all know how that turns out.

But isn't all of that essentially solipsism? At its core, I was treating woman like I would treat a man, because as a man, there simply was no other way in my mind. Solipsism is not just a disease of the female mind, it's of all people. And it never ever makes you a better more capable person. It sows seeds of failure everywhere it's manifested. I think one of the most important lessons any man, especially a recently unplugged man can learn is not to treat women like men. Don't assume they think like us, act like us, or feel like us. If something makes logical sense to you as a man, assume the woman will do something different. It's how you see through shit tests, read between her lines, and interpret her subtle hints. Women are not men. Do not treat them as such. Ever.
