If by MRP, you mean the sub itself, then actually, after almost two years in this sub, it's the first time I've heard of it.

But here, we often quote The Rational Male (blog and book). Rollo writes a lot about marriage and LTRs with RP, as he's been married for some time.

As you can imagine, if we're talking about marriage itself, within the RP framework, there are a lot of strong opinions to the effect of "never get married". But there are also men here who feel strongly about starting a family, and from what I've seen, among them, there are divisions about whether there can be lasting happiness in such a relationship or not.

The general bent regarding getting married (if one is going to) is to find a very low-count, somewhat old-school morality woman, with good homemaking skills. Basically, the traditional advice, but the RP overlay is about how not to get divorce raped, have a dead bedroom, not be tricked by a high count woman, etc. I don't know that many people who write such things here actually have direct experience with it, however. We do hear about married men wanting out, or wanting some help figuring out how to revive their marriage, which pretty much contributes to the "just never get married" thing which seems to be the preponderant sentiment.

Well, you're not linked in the sidebar, like /r/asktrp, /r/RedPillWomen, etc. I guess that says something.

I frequent both. I am married. I think there is a place for both subs, and that MRP is useful for what it holds itself out to be: a place for married men to learn about and apply red pill principles. I don't think many people in the main TRP sub that aren't married or in an LTR would find MRP's content to be very useful, as the main TRP sub members tend to eschew marriage and actively discourage it.

I'm subbed there since I am married too but don't spend a lot of time on reddit in general. I find that the problem with MRP is that it looks just like /r/asktrp. It's full of questions from guys wanting their hands held as they learn to walk the path. It's starting to look like Athol's forums.

MRP wasn't really useful to me as a married red pill man. Most people there seem to be in the "help me turn a ho into a housewife" variety.

And I understand that some people fucked up and married a non-LTR quality woman and now have kids they care about, but that remedial advice isn't useful to those of us who married the best quality woman we could find (intact hymen, young, SMV ~2 below, compatible personality, introvert) and then found red pill before making any huge mistakes.

I had no idea that sub existed. Most of my posts in TRP have LTR flair.

I thought the sub would be cool, been married for over twenty years and since we met it's been pretty red pill. I had never met someone before that wanted traditional rolls.

But the first post I read over at the married red pill sub seems very blue pill. Nothing from his original OP or his follow ups speak of being red pill in the slightest. He just wants to fuck random people(which he fails at) and leave his wife. Yet he can't even do that.

He has to take pictures when he gets to his office and send them to his wife as proof lol, but he's weaning her off of that lmao.

Don't get married

But if you are already married like I am when you find trp then try to fix it. I think that the married guys like us are a small percentage of trp and having the other subreddit is a good place to get more specific advice for us.

I lurk on the sub and it can be useful to see the opinions of others in the same boat as me (ie: trying to make the best of an imperfect situation). However, I find Rollo's writings (together with the comments) much more thought provoking. It sometimes feels like he is writing my life story. I've been married nearly 17 years (together 20) but unfortunately only found TRP around 18 months ago, although I was starting to realise the truth independently gradually over the previous 5 years or so. On the plus side, since TRP my marriage is significantly better as is life in general. Overall though my advice would be don't get married.
