/u/CharlieLightningDick makes some excellent points of MIB and articulates in a very RP way. TRP doesn't advocate feel good shit but you must be stronger than your issues. Go check his comment out.

BODY

I've noticed a lot of fine and healthy young men who struggle in the social department and women. I don't see this spoken of a lot in the manosphere: Mommy Issues Boys (MIB). MIB are naturals at pairing with Daddy Issues Girls (DIG) for whatever scientific reason. Perhaps to balance out the neglect and/or abuse from a parent.

A user asked me to identify some traits and I feel this needs to be brought to the attention to the manosphere.

If I'm speaking for the MI boys right now: you have a longer way to go than the average Clueless male. You have not just mental reprogramming to due, but psychological gymnastics you must learn to disassociate from. In short: I truly believe you must tap into your inner sociopath bred from the emotional scars you've endured. Use it to your advantage.

Off the top of my experience these are the traits I have expressed that I've also noticed in other MIB men as I grew up:

  • Mommy Issue Boys are soft
  • MIB are manipulative
  • MIB speak womanese but don't understand sub-text (because our reptilian straight talk brain)
  • MIB are validation seekers
  • MIB attract Daddy Issue's Girls possibly as a way to replace mommy over time (in which the relationship collapses because beta traits are revealed to the max)
  • MIB may seek out intellectual outlets (the brain being the only masculine outlet an abusive mother CANNOT control)
  • MIB suffers from intense self-loathing (I'm different from other men I swear). I can see this being why I am an artsier self expressive type.
  • MIB are sexually attracted to bolder/stronger/independent womyn. Surprise surprise, they end up being whores but my dick is non-negotiable with turn ons.
  • MIB are fearful of outcome. I know I try to hard to play the social game "safe". I cared wayyy too much what people thought of me. Not that I meant to. Being liked was addictive.
  • MIB hates his mother but yearns to open up and bond with her. My mother to this day is manipulative as always (AWALT) but she'll still send me letters/texts/phonecalls about how she's realized something new about how she could have raised me better or not mistreated me and then one day completely deny those things ever happened. It makes a young man feel like he's gone mad and absolutely crazy. "Perhaps I made it all up?" No. Now whenever I hear this response from someone I have the urge to choke them to death but that happens to be "illegal".
  • MIB do not have a clear understanding of female attraction because one day mommy loved you and another she was throwing knives and punches at you for some trivial reason. Because of this I also have a poor judge of character. I tend to take things at face value because I don't have time to stick around and see if a person is full of shit or not.
  • MIB make poor emotional connections. Shame, guilt, sadness, all of those emotions are pretty much severed. I tend to go over the top and make people feel like shit. Which can be great to put a bitch in her place but it's not like I call it up at will. I have to be provoked. When I thought I was autistic or socially retarded, I realize through TRP that my emotions are hay-wire. I follow the beat of my own drum. I could be in a room full of crying people and be perfectly content. People think these boys are awkward. We just weren't "calibrated". Being aware of this has made my interactions with people more smoother but I never feel a legit connection with anyone. You walk away feeling like a social rapist but it's the only way to guarantee control. Makes me kind of paranoid but I'd like to err on the side of caution than to be screwed over. For instance, mom would get angry at me and I'd just laugh not because I meant to but because it legitimately seemed humerous. She's then get angrier and throw punches at me. I've never hit a woman unless she's asked for it in bed.
  • MIB are cautious around women. For the reason above. We grew up around manipulative women that would snap. AND we tend to attract those women. We don't like playing risk with fire so we go in cautiously to see if we'll burn. This SUCKS ASS because the whole drive of male sexuality is risk taking. This leads to fear and a negative feed-back loop.
  • MIB have learned to not be "themselves". This is a plus in the TRP world because we can use this natural hesitation to plan how to turn a social situation into an advantage. The downside, as listed above, is a lack of human connection. But when you are yourself, you seem fucked in the head or socially inept and instead experience pity or dislike from other people. In short: there seems to be no positives to speaking the truth. The only time this has ever worked was with a DIG who admires the honest traits quite possibly to take advantage of a MIB who she can mold to be her BB. She wouldn't do this with her AF. She knows she's just a fuck and the relationship isn't serious.
  • MIB may act womanly in times of conflict- by admitting "brokenness" and "helplessness" because it's easier and fuels the attention seeking behavior. See: The Emo scene.
  • MIB may have released their inner turmoil in forms of violence towards themselves or animals.

MIB reflect a lot of Nice GuyTM traits. This isn't uprising. In the weak power dynamic that is beta males, manipulation, validation seeking, etc are all symptoms of a similar disease. This is more than a "repackaged" idea because the social dynamic between the son and mother (or both parents as some users pointed out) has been twisted by abuse, neglect, bi polar disorder, etc. Am I proposing anything ground breaking? Not necessarily. I have shown that there are some unique symptoms that come to play with MIBs that must be considered when members come here to diagnose themselves to cure them from the cancerous blue pill.

Inner Sociopath

For those of you with severed emotional ties or lack of proper emotional response in social situations and are aware enough to play people against each other, this is that experience (almost said feeling haha could you imagine?). I don't have a guide fo this because I'm still learning how to calibrate social situations. Hence why I'm here at TRP. If I was totally killing it, I wouldnt be here. What advice I have is definitely not ground breaking here at TRP.

  • Mirror their expressions. This is the easiest because you don't have to think for yourself and you can go auto pilot. Downsides is that people are like returning costumers for feelings. If you give Sad Larry your time, he may come back around to tell you a new sob story. You're training him to act this way. Women do this shit. Thats why you leave confused when she acts like shes sooo happy to see you but wont touch your dick. Emotional currency is funny money but a lot of us chumps thought this was legit currency for a while. However some men do this to eachother. Billy is a great guy and he's fun to hang around but around some point in the night he brings up something that he finds annoying with society and it drags my mood (I'm guilty of this). Now I tell him I don't want to hear it. Surprise surprise he's in better moods when he hangs out with us and so are we.

  • Make your alignment ambiguous or restricted to a select audience. I have a few friend circles that don't intersect. So I save face for one group and show a different self with another. Kind of like acting suprised IRL when people bring up the Red Pill (oh my god those hateful fedora tipping virgins) but this is actually my sanctuary. This is an example of a restricted audience. Being agnostic is a great example of alignment ambiguity because in some circles I can agree more with atheists and in conservative circles I can say I think there is a god out there just don't know what kind or something.

  • Diffuse people early and quickly. My buddy showed me this one. He's often in trouble with the law so he'll open up officers with some innocent but bs question, small talk, and then walk away while doing something illegal right under their nose. Another example, a dude was being a white knight and got my number somehow and has been calling and making threats for trying my damned best to mess around with the local girls. I met him not too long ago in a circle of friends and immediately asked how his recovery was with sincerity (he got a broken bone doing something I forget). After some back and forth I dropped the subject entirely. Had zero problems with him the rest of the night and also saved face with the group because I'm such a little angel. 0:)
