Any person on this subreddit who claims that he has attracted every woman he has ever met is lying through his teeth.
I've been here a while, and don't recall anyone claiming a 100% close rate.
What people need to learn is that they are looking to attract one subset of women.
The hot ones?
I get what you're trying to say, but the thing is, the teachings here make you more attractive to damn near every woman in the world. The confidence to approach and converse without fear or intimidation. Success in life (career, personal, friends). Physical attraction (lifting, eating right, dressing well, grooming).
Doesn't matter if she's a pro athlete or a business woman or a goth. If you look better than you used to, your life is better than it used to be, and you actually approach and hold a conversation, your chances skyrocket.
[–]Theotropho 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link
"hot" is subjective and varies by individual as a result.

In the real economy, a new Rolls Royce is more valuable than a Honda Civic even if you have a couple of people who prefer the Civic.
[–]Theotropho -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
selling it to get something more useful to you would be a common response to receiving a Rolls. Higher price tag does not mean better unless you're talking about subhumans and glamming subhumans is easy enough without having to waste money on a Rolls.
[–]trpthroway123 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
He said more valuable, not more expensive.
The quality of a Rolls is undeniably better. It offers more in a very real sense. The features, the room, the fit and finish, the design, the power, the engineering, the customization.
Price be damned, it's better, it has more value.
You may prefer big booty latinas to rail thin blonde supermodels, but you can't deny the supermodels are hot, you can't deny that in the real world, they're going to be thought of as hotter by the majority.
[–]Theotropho -4 points-3 points-2 points 10 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
Extremely expensive to maintain, makes you a target, draws shallow people like shit draws flies. I'd sell it and take the Civic because I don't need Things to get laid.
And I don't care about the majority, first off, other than how to exploit it for my own benefit (which includes not falling for its stupid nonsense), second off I'd argue that rail thin supermodels are only more popular in the ever shrinking "fashion" circle. The highest paid strippers in the area aren't rail thin blonds, you know.
[–]trpthroway123 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
You forget this is TRP.
We don't own, we don't maintain, we just enjoy our turn and send it on to the next guy.
I'm just taking her for a proverbial joyride around the block.
So, to re-frame the question: Would you rather drive a Civic or a Rolls for the weekend, knowing it's free to you and you don't have to fix the damage? What about next weekend? You going after the Lambo or the Chevy Cobalt? You want a Taurus or a Ferrari?
[–]Theotropho 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
None of the above. I'm not into flash or I'd be flashy.
Grandpa said to me when I was just a young boy "when you have it they all want it so never let them know you have it"

"when you have it they all want it so never let them know you have it"
Grandpa has the right idea, you seem to misunderstand him.
He's not saying to never have anything nice, he's saying don't go bragging about what you have.
[–]Theotropho 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
The point of having an expensive car is flash. There is no way to hide that you dropped 120k on a car. Hiding it precludes that type o purchase.
[–]Theotropho 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
If you're pussy hungry and flashy you can expect to draw people trying to take advantage of that. Why even bother? Because you think the pussy attached to shallow bitches is somehow superior to the pussy attached to a real down broad?

in conclusion be your own man, don't become a carbon copy of christian grey just because women fantasize about him. you can spot a derp immediately because he's trying to follow the red pill to the letter so everyone thinks he's alpha and like him for it, and it's just as cringe worthy as when he was a nice guy who drove the girl of his heart to another guys house to get fucked so that she would maybe like him and put out someday. the point of being an alpha is you do not follow the rules, you make them. don't get too attached to trp and become a slave to its rules.
[–]vagbutters 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is on point simply because being "alpha" means taking the general principles of RP and gaining your own "rhythm" with them.
[–]RedditAdminsSuck_88 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
There are a lot of liars on the TRP subs, which is something I have never understood. What's the point? So you can impress strangers that you will never meet on a subreddit? Isn't the whole point of TRP to get better? So how can you get better if you are lying?
Lying is just a hamster insecure men use to cover up for their shortcomings.
My favorite lies are the guys who say they are struggling with women, and then in the next paragraph say they have high SMV and women hit on them and show IOIs all the time. I also know when someone is lying about the HB rating of the women they are gaming.

TRP overemphasizes Alpha traits in a box cutter model. "Lift big, get fucking huge, dress like you're about to make the most important business deal of your life etc.
No it doesn't, in fact the mods state over and over its not a self improvement sub , but I digress being alpha is all that matters, now the definition of alpha seems to be up for grabs but in reality its the one who is in charge of their own life.
Are you doing what you want? , for example girl wants to be friends and wants to wait for sex and enjoy the evening , but you want sex now, a alpha will get up and leave and find a new girl.
A beta will stay and try to impress the girl with his muscle, money, and fashion.

the definition of alpha seems to be up for grabs but in reality its the one who is in charge of their own life.
This reminds me of the definition of power in The Rational Man; "Real power is the degree to which a person has control over their own circumstances...the degree to which we actually control the directions of our lives." Rollo
[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
The Red Pill does not over emphasize Alpha traits. The west is so pussifed that what you see as hypermasculinity is really just masculinity. Any nonwestern man will openly tell you that the west is filled with weak sheepish men.
You might choose to belive that masculinity is relative to Sooth your ego but you are deluding yourself. Masculinity is not relative. Muslim migrants arnt going to stop raping white women due to your well thought out intellectual argument.
People respect those they fear. So go ahead don't be masculine. Don't lift heavy. Don't walk with purpose, skip gently. Wave your hands in the air flamboyantly.
Our world is growing more volatile everyday and your self chosen weakness will not be rewarded.

Hey man! Big fan of your posts.
I think you misunderstood what I said.
What I meant by this statement was that TRP's advice has the potential to branch out in several different ways.
From what I can see, most people here are restricting themselves to the core tenets, fucking their onenitis and calling it a day.
These are the core essentials, but you also need to learn other things to experience life to the fullest.
Human beings have the potential to do a lot of things if they put their mind to it, and they shouldn't just limit themselves to pussy and a good career.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
He's got a good point. When I was in the navy, the bosses used to tell stories of 'tiller flats' Basically for unresolved arguments, two guys (or any rank) would go to this space, beat the shit out of each other, and come back, not a word would be said, and it would be resolved.
And these are the IT guys.
This was only the 80s and early 90s. This kind of masculinity is so unheard of to most in here, most of the stories are touted as bullshit when someone dares to do them. When wsa the last time you heard of two men getting into a fight, then having a beer together?
[–]Theotropho 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Jail is a good place to get that experience these days. After spending a couple years on gladiator units you know your place.

TRP overemphasizes Alpha traits in a box cutter model. "Lift big, get fucking huge, dress like you're about to make the most important business deal of your life etc. Be as cocky as you want while talking to women."
I think it's under emphasized.
If you're not cocky, lift big, dress well and make money you're cleaning up the scraps from the guys who are. The question then becomes how good are you at picking up scraps (I think this is what most of the PUA community is about with some exceptions).
TRP doesn't have any power over what an alpha is and isn't. You can't negotiate attraction. You can't say, "I've decided that the term alpha now means: insert bullshit convoluted definition" and women will start to want to fuck that new definition. You can't force a women to be attracted to you based on a definition you made up in your head. Are you attracted to the bulbous, ugly, pink haired, Tumblr Feminists? Are you attracted to single mothers and cougars with saggy tits and leathery skin?
I think the definition of alpha gets confusing to newcomers on this forum because it's not accessible to every man. By definition not every man can be the best. Women want to fuck the best. This can be demoralizing to men that are no where near alpha status. This can be a rage inducing truth to swallow.
Attempting to redefine 'alpha' to make yourself feel better is male hamstering.

Lots of ways to attract a woman. Chest puffing only attracts a shallow subset. OP is right in the statement that needlessly limiting yourself is not the best move.
[–]JackGetsIt 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (23 children) | Copy Link
All women are shallow. They are mature teenagers at best, dangerous spoiled bratty children at worse.
Chest puffing
Being cocky doesn't have to be chest puffing. Guys that are trying to be witty, overly flirty, mysterious, are just as bad as chad puffing his chest out. They're all trying to offer women their cocks. The fact that know one 'checks' Chad on his puffing or call him out for being rude is a signal to women that he's the leader at the gathering. I've see a group of engineers with a women in the group and they might not puff their chest but they try to play the alpha role in other ways.
[–]Theotropho -2 points-1 points0 points 10 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link
"All women are shallow."
I'd wager your confirmation biase is strengthened as a result of your approach. I've heard both genders spew that nonsense plenty of times, as a bisexual I've found real humans with all types of squishy bits. It's not limited to one gender. In general people mindlessly acting out standards of behavior come in all flavors and are all shallow.
[–]JackGetsIt 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link
Some are certainly more shallow then others.
[–]Theotropho 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link
Yeah but that's not split along a gender line. One of the most shallow people I know is a capitalist fuckboy that does part time cam whoring with various "barely 18" chicks. It's good for him and I love debating economics and the like with the guy but he's really Basic in some aspects of his existence.
[–]JackGetsIt 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link
I didn't say men can't be shallow. I would not make the statement that all men are shallow though.
[–]Theotropho 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link
No you made the statement that all women are shallow, which is what I disagreed with. It's a stupid thing to say and it's easily disproven. Thinking in those terms will attract only uselessly shallow people to you.
[–]JackGetsIt 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link
Your friend sounds like the opposite of shallow. The fact that he can cam whore and discuss economics with you sounds like the opposite of shallow. You're also on the wrong forum if you going to shame and judge people for sleeping with multiple legal 18 year old girls. I'm not going to accuse you of jealousy because I don't really know you; that would be shallow. However I would recommend you reevaluate your judgment of your friend. Sounds like an interesting person. I'm also not sure how capitalist became an insult? Maybe you don't like him because he's cocky but you don't have to hang around people that rub you the wrong way. Maybe he hasn't excepted you deeply into his friendship circle. All of my cocky male friends don't really act that way after we've built our friendship and trust up. Their totally different people when their not competing or hunting for women.
There was no shame in anything I said. Merely pointing out that shallow can coincide with success.
[–]Theotropho 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
He freely admits he's shallow. He likes flashy nonsense. That is part of discussing economics with him. He doesn't rub me wrong? You're pulling a lot of nonsense out of your ass.

Your "drawbacks" don't really have anything to do with the tenets of this sub and almost seem like a strawman. I've never read that you have to "get huge" or read any PUA-like claims of attracting all women. It's simple blue-pill deconditioning that we learn what factors affect SMV and part of that demands physical training. This isn't a bodybuilding sub or PUA sub as you seem to be implying.
Honest question.
Do you really believe that's all Masculinity should be limited to?
From what I can see, the higher purpose of this subreddit is to provide a masculine space in an overly feminised western society.
Yes, most of the advice revolves around getting some poon, but that's just a starting point towards something a lot more noble - The journey of being a man.
[–]ryan18020 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Lifting, making a lot of money, natural confidence, dressing well, and taking care of yourself only attracts one subset of women? I'd argue that those are the fundamentals for attracting almost all women. Beyond that it just goes into physical features, hobbies, and things of that nature that attract different subsets of women. It sounds like you are hamstering away why you don't want to lift and dress well because you're afraid of being "that guy". No one goes around dressing like they are making the best business deal of their life on their day to day lol. Dress to the situation. You should dress slightly better than your environment/peers. Put too much effort into dressing better than everyone and you look like a social retard IMO.
[–]TheRedStoic 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
No one I've seen here makes any such claims or propositions.
I don't know who you're targeting this to, but it seems a massive straw man?
Trp increases your position in the smp by recognizing the state of things and how they function. That's it. It doesn't guarantee success to anyone, simply that improvement in yourself leads to greater results than not.
Building your portfolio doesn't guarantee you being a billionaire, but it does lead to more money and opportunity. That's pretty much the gist of it.
[–]Theotropho 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
There are certainly undercurrents of objectification and dehumanization. Mostly TRP overusers dehumanize themselves, willingly, and the objectification is somewhat built into calling women "plates" (as some people understand that term). There are also a lot of masculine positive users here.
[–]TheRedStoic 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I can't dispute that claim, though it seems experientially defective.
The vast majority of asktrp posts I've seen are questioning what to do about maintaining their own propositions while effectively utilizing the praxeology, not about turning themselves into automatons.
There are those. But they're not the major in my experience.
Still, I understand where you're coming from.
I did mention that there is an active current of positive masculinity too. I do not want to detract from that when I mention how offputting comments like "all women are shallow use them and throw them away" are. Especially when they have double digit upvotes.

A drawback that I've seen in this message board is users thinking Jews aren't people.

I've seen that conversation here.
[–]1nzgs 6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
Those posts do not represent this sub. In any topic that becomes political we seem to have a handful of anti-semite stormfront retards essentially scapegoating Jews for various social ills. I don't even know why they are here. The "Globalism" topic was hijacked by conspiritard anti-semites, the mods should crack down on that kind of thing.
They're stupid and confused, they probably feel powerless over their own lives, and this kind of scapegoating of the successful is easier than taking the red pill, owning their failures and channelling their envy into productive self-improvement.
The paragraph rants against muslims aren't doing any good either.

It was in the globalism topic sometime this month.
I think what happens is the shattering of illusions of sexual strategy brought about by the consumption of the red pill leads the individual to question some of the other illusions in their lives, the main one being finance/money transfer in the world. It's hard to say where the line gets drawn as what is red pill as what is not. I'm sure one could argue that the shattering of any illusion is a red pill concept. However for the purposes of the discussion, and using the traditional definition of TRP, TRP exists solely for sexual strategy - so like you I'm unsure why those conversations happen here.

Part of the red pill is walking your own way, MGTOW, or do whatever the hell you want. Yes, there have maybe a large emphasis on being Alpha traits but alpha traits are subjective on your own opinion. I go to the gym for the benefit of being healthy, not getting big. I prefer lean over big. I dress comfortable. Someday, on occasion, I had on suit to wedding party and such. I killed with it thanks to the combination of nice suit and good physical body from going to the gym. However, I also killed it with other outfits I have from chinos to shorts to to shirt and polos. Also again, thanks to hitting the gym constantly. So TRP emphasis on hitting the gym hard improving yourself is right. However, TRP is not about what you wear, or how big your muscles are, it's how wear it and how you feel about yourself. It's about your mindset. If you feel good about yourself, nothing really matters in the end. You can be naked walking around and feel sexy. People can feel that i don't give a fuck vibe and wear whatever the fuck I want. It's a very sexy vibe. Some people will be jealous of you and hate you because they don't got it, especially other blue pillers, and try to put you down, while girls on the other hand will drool over you.
[–]Cahndiman 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I also have no desire to get big. Having a flat stomach while not being skinny is ideal for me. I'm not going to eat like a horse and live my life around fitness. I have no doubt that being much more muscular would get more attention from women, though I still get comments about my fitness, so I'm fine.

The redpill is a very active community of almost 160k subscribers. You're going to get varying opinions. It's also a community with lots of men who have been divorce raped (they've lost their kids, 70 percent of income... there are also men who have been falsely accused of sexual assault and thrown in jail by insane women) so you're going to get anger and hate. Much of that anger and hate is downvoted or directed towards a self improvement route. I've responded to countless men who want revenge on an ex and talked them down and explained to them that women are not the enemy, revenge is going to back fire and women are products of evolutionary biology. I would go further to argue that you can learn to love and respect women even more by acknowledging their evolutionary sexual strategies fairly.
Red pill is the radical notion that men and women are both capable of mean, evil acts on fellow human beings. When men are having a gripe session about a BPD women it's not meant to say all women are BPD. It's a spectrum.
I also think that if you would have re-written your post as how you view alphas in a more detailed single topic post it would have been better received. TRP might disagree with your ideas of alpha behavior but we encourage new ideas but reserve the right to down vote them as well.
You framed you're criticism as incontrovertible and not open for debate and that doesn't really fly around here.

Would you let your children have equal say in the family budget because they perform chores?
Women control a 56% voting majority control while only contributing 25% of taxes. Due to this, 80% of government assistance goes to women.
It's not misogyny to recognize that as an obvious problem with society. Unless you also want to propose that not allowing children an equal say in the family budget is somehow "child-hate".

isn't that more of an argument for income based voting than gender?
If the 52% of people who paid no income tax lost suffrage, I wouldn't cry.
But it is more than that. Women and men think differently. And the female group think combined with absolute control of suffrage (56/44 is a LARGE gap) combined with spending money other than their own is a huge moral hazard that causes the Bureaugamy that is fucking up our society, sex marketplace, and men's rights.

One, remove "or visitation" from that statement.
Two, again: doesn't matter what percentage who try for custody get it (it's around 60%) because that's a self-selected group of those who are already most likely to get it. Said self-selected group is a small percentage of fathers.

According to DivorcePeers.com, the majority of child custody cases are not decided by the courts.
In 51 percent of custody cases, both parents agreed — on their own — that mom become the custodial parent. In 29 percent of custody cases, the decision was made without any third party involvement. In 11 percent of custody cases, the decision for mom to have custody was made during mediation. In 5 percent of custody cases, the issue was resolved after a custody evaluation. Only 4 percent of custody cases went to trial and of that 4 percent, only 1.5 percent completed custody litigation. In other words, 91 percent of child custody after divorce is decided with no interference from the family court system. How can there be a bias toward mothers when fewer than 4 percent of custody decisions are made by the Family Court?
