So I've 20 years old, and have been lurking here for around a month, after realizing how unsatisfied I am with my interactions with women. I'm not the type to normally go out, mostly because of approach anxiety. So when I do go out, it's mostly to a quiet bar with a good friend to have a few beers, and then I go home. There's nothing wrong with that, but my goal is to talk to women. And I would get annoyed every time because I didn't talk to any women.... because I didn't approach them in the first place!

On Friday night, I went out to a bar that I don't normally go to. It's a perfect bar for pickup. You can smoke inside, the drinks are cheap, it's open late, and it's always full of girls, most of them foreigners/tourists.

I went with my best friend (who is quite good at game but currently has a gf) and 2 other friends I met from work.

We show up at the bar, and my approach anxiety immediately kicks in. I'm not used to being in bars like this, and there were so many women around me, I just didn't know how I could talk to them. My friends were trying to encourage me, and had a few chats with some girls nearby to show me how to open. After a couple beers, I felt confident and ready to try for myself.

First, I talked to a group of drunk tourists from my homecountry. I heard them speaking my native language, and decided to approach with that as an opener. The group consisted of a super belligerent super drunk blonde girl, and her two friends, who were far less drunk. We talked for a bit before being interrupted by the super drunk one, and I decided it wasn't worth it because she was way too fucking loud. I didn't want to deal with that shit.

But here's something interesting I noticed. There were two guys just sort of... "orbiting" around the group of girls. They were completely silent when I had engaged, just standing on the "outside" of the group holding their beers, listening with a dumb grin on their faces. They hadn't said a word, but I could tell just from their positioning that they were in an even worse place than me. I felt bad for them, and also just wanted to approach people in general, not just girls - so I went over and said hello.

Turns out they're from my home country as well, on a pub crawl with the girls. Cool. We talked for a bit, but then I left to rejoin my friends.

My friends had gotten a place on a couch, with an empty couch across from us. We were sitting, just drinking and making jokes, when suddenly two girls came over and in the couch opposite us. They just kinda stared at us for a moment, expecting us to do something. One of my friends kind of nudged me, and I initiated, asking them where they're from. They were from south America, here on exchange. One 5 and one 7.

I had conversation mostly with the girl on the right (5), but the couches were a bit far apart, so it was difficult to hear her. I stood up to move next to her, but before I could even sit down, she gestured to the space next to her for me to sit. I took this as a good sign, and obliged. We were squeezed really close together on the couch, and made some basic talk for a couple minutes. Nothing special really. But suddenly when we were on the topic of music, she asked me what music I liked. I said older music mostly, like 80s. She asked if I like Pink Floyd, and I said yes. She said "Ugh, so like my dad." I said "Who knows, what if I am your dad?" And she said "So you're my daddy?"

Wait, hold up. It's that fucking easy? She wasn't even very drunk, yet all it took was me to make a physical connection (my arm was around her) and some smalltalk and she was already wanting it. I forgot what exactly I said, but then I moved in for a kiss and she obliged. We made out for a while, I bought us a couple more drinks, and we made out some more. At one point we rejoined the conversation that was going on between her friend and my friends. She made the casual comment that her and her friend like to kiss all the time. At this point I got a bit greedy, but her friend was even hotter. I asked the chick I was making out with if her friend would kiss me if I tried my luck. She said yeah, why not. So I moved in next to her friend, and said something like "I'm on a special mission from your government. I've been sent to see which one of you is a better kisser. Care to help me with my sample?" It was dumb, but she kissed me for a couple minutes. But then I went back to the original girl, because she was better at kissing.

The girl I was making out with even asked me if I wanted to go to the bathroom, but I declined because of whiskeydick, and because that's a bit too trashy for me. Eventually they left, I added them both on snapchat, and made plans with the 5 for her to come over the next time I'm free.

Overall a very good night. This is the first time I've ever approached a girl in a bar, and it ended so much better than i anticipated. I know I probably made a lot of mistakes, but I've only really been into TRP for just over a month. Definitely gonna start going out more often, because practice makes perfect!

How did I do?
