I'm only 2 for 4 on those, but I have a couple of friends that are basically male models but smart. They're kinda like hot chicks. Girls pursue them, they kinda play hard-to-get. But the thing is, they have no game and don't do nearly as well as you'd think. One of them is kind of immature and plays lots of video games. I do better than he does. There are really good-looking guys who are still living like a teenager. The fact that my good-looking friends rarely pulled above a 7 never made sense to me until I found TRP. Chicks don't just go after physical attractiveness. They go after masculinity.

I've dated a few 8/9/10 chicks, and have found them to usually be shallow/boring/dead fucks/useless. They don't know how to do anything, or don't want to do anything. They want you to wait on them hand and foot, thinking their looks get them whatever they want. That gets old quick.

I had a similar conversation with a buddy of mine a little while back. We were discussing how pulling 5-7s and keeping them as steady fucks was coming easy to us but getting to that 8-9 level wasn't something that we've been successful at.

I think what happens is once you get your looks and confidence up to a certain level the 5-7s are willing to eat up your game and even throw themselves at you at times. Looking back on the last 4 girls I've been with, 3 out of 4 of them I had to put in zero effort to bang. After the introductions, I just ran my normal game and they started the kino, and you know when a girl starts the kino its an easy win. Even if your game is off they will overlook it if they like the way you look.

However, unless your a guy who has top 1% looks, 8-10s require tighter game. You also have to put up with more shit tests and while you don't want to show you are putting any effort in, you actually do have to make sure you are making the right moves at the right time. This is because 8-10s have been hit on all their life and have probably scored many other good looking guys. You're nothing special to them unless you have game.

I think there are probably a few guys on here that pull 8s and 9s because they have been able to raise their game to that level and combine it with good looks. But guys that are just "good looking guys" can sit back and rake in easy 6s and 7s so they just chose the path of least resistance.

When it comes to women, if I'm hungry and I have a cheeseburger all laid out in a plate in front of me I will just go for it rather than put in time and work for the prime rib. There's also the chance that I put in a bunch of work for the steak and have to fall back on the cheeseburger anyways, or worse, leave with an empty stomach.

Overall, this might sound like a bad approach to life - why take the easy way? Well it depends on what you value in life, what you want, and how much time/energy you have to spread around. I'll put 110% into my job/career as well as when I am engaging in my athletic hobbies. That's where I choose to spend my energy because I care more about advancing my career, reading at least two hours a day, and making big plays in my old-man sports leagues than upgrading from 7s to 8s. I am not the kind of personality that goes 100% in all endeavors, because I have too many interests. I certainly can't see myself making a couple hundred opens with hot girls to get my game to that level. I'll just have fun with the 7s, most of them are bigger sweethearts anyways.

What's your point, that hotter girls are harder to pick up? Who do you think is going to have an easier time picking up a 9/10, a guy who is a 7 or a guy who is a 9/10 himself?

9/10s are constantly bombarded with subliminal indications of interest. Aside from being constantly hit on, they're stared at, people gossip more about them, they generally get more attention... All of that will subconsciously make you feel pretty damn important, so you're never going to feel the need to go out and look for attention from other people.

6/7s are more aggressive because they need to be in order to secure the top tier guys.

It might have something to do with the way they approach hotter women. Looks are important but you can totally screw it up with a needy approach.

For myself, I've noticed that I treat fives and sixes way different than 7+. I get good attention from girls all the way up to the occasional 9, but the majority of the girls I've had sex with have been 6/10 and lower. I've noticed that I don't approach 7+ girls very often, and when I do, my attitude is much more validation seeking ("she'd be doing me a huge favor by sleeping with me" versus "I'm doing her a huge favor by sleeping with her" if it's a less hot girl). I simply don't feel like I "deserve" anything above a 6, so my approach is needy and non-aggressive (if I approach at all). It's almost like a lack of belief that a hot girl is giving me attention at all, even though it literally happens every time I leave my house for a good period of time.

This might apply to your friends too. If anyone knows how to solve this, I'd appreciate it.

A mate of mine is 6'3'' and built like a truck. He has a chin chiseled from granite and a great smile. When he's in the gym working out, ladies (8s/9s) stop what they're doing and just gawk at him.

He also has great game, and doesn't give a shit if it doesn't work out with a woman (abundance mentality). He's street smart, and not book smart - and that sometimes can turn off women (thought not before he's fucked them). But the initial attraction is always there, based solely on his looks.

Do looks matter? Absolutely. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.

Muscular + good looks >>> Muscular + mediocre looks. The good looks act like an amplifier.

Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do to improve how your face looks. The only thing you can do is get muscular + lean so you don't end up with a round baby face. Being lean will give you a more prominent chin.

tl;dr Good looks matter. You can change it up to a point, but if you have a face like Lemmy Kilminster, you won't end up with a face like Brad Pitt by working out.

I don't know. But I have an anecdote to throw in that might help answer you.

I am a short man, quite a bit less than 6 feet, and I am pretty out of shape at the best of times, although I am 'proportional' at a little over 150 lbs. I smoke, I am routinely broke, and I work in sales. Not exactly high status.

On the more charitable side, I am relatively smart, and - I have been told repeatedly - I am a very good looking guy. The smart thing I stand behind, the looks thing is subjective to a point, but I can be reasonably sure, for this reason:

It took me quite a while to realize most men don't have women smile at them and stammer semi coherent greetings when walking past them in a mall. I didn't know until recently that men aren't usually asked to dance in nightclubs, or have women offer to buy them a drink. Or have hard 9's 15 years their junior walk up and fix the little label sticking out of the back of their collar.

I had no game, because my pickup strategy was to go get a beer, and sit on a window ledge in the corner, and see which of the women that came up to me I wanted to go home with. I didn't ask a woman out, at all, until 2 years after my divorce. Until then, it was women asking me. And to this day I still get the giggly smiles from the odd young bottle.

I realized my dating life essentially mirrors that of the 'hot chick'. And I'm short, and poor, and a little out of shape. So, do looks matter? Of course they do.

The point is, though, they aren't everything.

Personal observations:

The male category that needs to put the least effort into dating is: tall, lean to jacked, symmetrical and White or White-looking biracial. So that holds true against yours. Masculine features like a strong jaw, large hands, facial hair and a low forehead seem to be common in that category also.

The reason they tend to take home a larger number of girls and the reason these girls vary from what the PUA community calls a 3 to a 7? These girls approach them. I've seen it time and time again. In a group of men, or on their own, when men in that category go out, they don't need to make an approach. They can even be obviously with a girl, or the girl can obviously be with someone else, and she will approach him. The only thing he has to do is not mess up. Not even be Alpha. Just not be too BP or come across as schizoid/bipolar and she'll go home with him. My assumption always was: why pay for steak when you can get free burgers.

As an attractive male, I can confirm. It takes almost no effort to take an attractive broad home. Unfortunately, there is a downside to this. I have to deal with the fatties & ugly women who think they can somehow manage to get me.

Also, when I occasionally act as wingman, I have to take one for the team in order to ensure my bros get laid.

Yes, we still have to work at it. Albeit not anywhere near what average guys have to put in. That's also a doulbe-edged sword. We can get women with just our looks but it weakens us in the sense we don't have the experience necessary to get the 9+ women. EDIT: People need to realize that a 10 does not exists. The saying of "No matter how hot a woman is, there is always some man who is sick of her shit" is very, very true.

Some will learn, like I still am, and some will flounder and get fat and never recover. I almost went down that path, still a fat-ass compared to where I was but I'm getting it back slowly and better this time around.

EDIT: I've taken the path of least resistance and continue to hook up with 6s and 7s and a few 8s. That is a huge weakness I'm working on.

Could be some hotter girls are more trouble than their looks are worth. Could also be some hotter girls are too hot for some guys to approach and that means unless the girl approaches, there's no future there.

Otherwise I'd say generally better looks attract each other. Game/attitude, status, money can make the opposite happen sometimes.

My personal experience is hotter girls actually aren't as upfront bitchy (outside of highschool, which I consider an inverse universe of fucked up attitude) compared to girls just under them (8+ nice to deal with, 6-7 bitchy by default/defensive).

No matter how hot a girl is if she gives me red flags I will never be in a relationship with her. Period.

My experience is very similar to yours, up to a point. Great facial aesthetics mean you get to fuck 5s and maybe 6s on your own terms. Whoopee. But when a man develops his musculture to this tier, he can be fucking a different 8 every day of the week.

Not in my experience. All my friends think I am the best looking out of all of us. I am fit and I dress nice all the time and I have a tough time pulling fat chicks even. I have a slightly feminine look though.

I don't know anymore tbh... I read and hear everyone claim absolute facts based on their experiences and anecdotes... the "facts" always contradict one-another. So I don't really consider those too much for that reason.

My guess: game. You can get plain girls or meh/fuckable girls with looks alone. But you need game to nab 8s and above. They'd probably admire the good looks, but that's different from getting them altogether. Probably the whole hot girls know they can get any decent looking chap they want (SMV) so they don't act as desperate as the plain and meh types. Though that's me in RP mode "speaking".

Of course one danger is we are superimposing RP on our non-RP peers. RP isn't necessarily a fact, it is an ideology we have chosen to adhere to for one reason or another. It could be that your good looking mates really find some good reason, for them, to settle for girls who don't look as hot. Of course with RP ideology we would dismiss it as their hamster.

My experience: its all fucking cesspool. RP interpretations make it easy for us to fathom what's going on. Relative to how alternative ideals, such as BP/WK/whatever terminology you want to use, help them make sense of it all.
