It's not called the sexual marketplace for no reason.

The answer is blindingly simple. When those things the author mentioned are rewarded, more men will pursue them. When they are taken advantage of, used, and cast aside, more men will avoid them. Just like in any marketplace that retains enough individual freedom for people to take their wares, products, and value where they choose, and not where they don't, people will inevitable choose that which is in their own self-interest. Make things like romance, commitment, marriage, etc in the best interests of men again, and men will flock to them. Obviously that would mean that women have to offer something of value to make it in the man's interest, which these days is deplorable to women, so men choose to spend their value on other things.

For a guy who is allegedly a successful businessman, he doesn't understand market economics very well. If your product is so completely awesome that everyone should have one...but there doesn't seem to be much interest...it's probably not the market that is the problem.

It's your product.

His "product" is marriage. His problem is: it's a shitty product. First, it has at 53% objective failure rate. Of the 47% that are "successes", at least 80%¹ of those suck in some way, from "meh" to medium-sucky, to awful but won't get divorced for some reason. And sure, there is some minority of 'deliriously happy'.

He's trying to sell his product to men by using 'shame' as a marketing too. I suppose that's what he's got, because marriage's selling points - you, as the guy, stand a better than 50-50 shot at being divorced, and will get to have 40% of your pre-tax income scraped away from you so that your ex-wife can fuck other guys, and teach your kids to hate you.

You get screwed² over, pledge lifelong fidelity and at least half of yoru worldly goods....and the other party can freely withdraw from her side of the bargain at any time, without penalty. And you get to pay for it.

Mr. Market has spoken. To me, it's not surprising that fewer men want to marry, it's that any men want to marry.

These people are messing up cause and effect. Men opting out, acting what these imbeciles declare as childish and irresponsible are not the cause but merely symptom. It's the same issue all across Europe, the North Americas and even encompassing some of the East Asian countries such as Japan.

Obviously there's no real interest in fixing the actual problem, as the actual problem tends to be rather beneficial to quite a few people. Thus they simply want to fix others refusing to play a rigged game and keep them from cherry picking the same way they are because ultimatively this makes their scheme unsustainable.

Ever noticed there's no "real woman" comparison around, none where they demand modern women take responsibility, grow up, stop being as egoistic and childish? Try telling them to be less irresponsible, to actually grow up and be mothers, to achieve things on their own rather than through redistribution and the same people you see here will go rabbid.

Why on the fucking earth would I want to fight for romance. Romance is giving 100 roses to some dumb shit who wants to pose with them on Instagram to make her friends jealous. Romance is doing some dumb expensive gesture "because she's mad at me, again." Romance is an asymmetrical process where men have to bust their ass, thinking out of the box, to do something original for princess so she can enter it into her bragging competition with her friends.

This whole concept that men should fight to have a relationship and fight to have romance is bullshit.

If 50% of eligible men realized they had the cards, that they were getting more attractive, more powerful, more wealthy between the ages of 20-40 while their women were going downhill then there would be a huge powershift.

Men would not be fighting for any of this shit but the women would be fighting to please a man and make him stay.

Guys don't like going to church for exactly this reason. This is so obviously pandering to women like your cousin--Notice the total lack of accountability to the female side of the "people are getting married and having kids later in life" in addition to the divorce equation.

It's insulting that if a guy that age is single, it's only for Peter Pan aspirations, and not because he made the choice to end it with previous suitors for whatever the fuck reason he wanted to. A man making that choice for himself is apparently looked down upon, but a female who made those same choices for her own happiness is encouraged to do so-- Strong and Independent ^{^{^TM}} .

It's also insulting to the guys of decent value, looks, what have you who have made legitimate efforts to fulfill that BP Disney fantasy relationship with a girl he's thoroughly attracted to, only to find that women can be just as "relationship phobic" as men can be, that attractive women of that age are just as (if not more likely) to walk away from those opportunities as men are. Guys who have experienced the "light switch effect" (covered in a previous TRP post) one too many times.

Or better yet, guys who got married like he did, had a couple kids, then she got bored, cheated and then divorced.

Sure, there are plenty of guys out there who his rant applies to, but as per most SJW literature, none of the above is considered a reasonable possibility.
