i like this woman way too much

I love being the wife who does this kind of thing.

I reap the benefits of the extra hour or two I have after he’s left for work and before the rest of my day begins.

The satisfaction of doing something for someone else, something that you pour your heart into, is great. Both parties thrive on that type of love.

10/10 would marry

[–][deleted] 24 points25 points26 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

That last point is the big thing. Every time I hear a long term married couple say how they lasted so long it always seems to be something similar to that. To keeping it up over the years.

Unfortunately we're raised to believe in this true love bullshit. Women seem to be made especially delusional but men are still pretty bad. Instead of wanting to do something for their partner they want their partner to do something for them. I think that shows in one of the responses she gets, "What does he do in return?"

Then again, I'm young and really sheltered so I could be way off the mark. Take what I say with a grain of salt... maybe even the whole bag.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"What have you done for me lately?"

[–]masterrod 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Unfortunately we're raised to believe in this true love bullshit

It's just called maturity. Would you even bother with women, if if your Dad, or mom told you all the bullshit you have to go through to deal with them? True love is like Santa Claus. It doesn't much matter that Santa Claus doesn't exist, but it is important to realize that giving is valuable.

This article is a mature woman she realizes that her gift is also her return. And she's also able to find pleasure on her own in doing a task.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's the thing, even adults are incredibly immature today and I think a big part of it is being raised with this sense of entitlement.

We raise our kids to be happy when we should be raising them to be content. Happiness is an emotion, you'll feel it sometimes, to varying degrees and other times you'll feel sad. Whereas you can be content with your life overall. I think the sense of entitlement comes from this attempt to raise happy kids.

I do think happiness is a nice feeling. Let kids have Christmas, etc. But wanting them to be happy overall is futile at best and damaging at worst. So, while I agree that the woman is mature, I don't think that raising delusional, entitled children is the best way to create mature adults.

That's how I see the(or a) root of the problem, anyway.

[–]masterrod -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This a masculine way of thinking Charlie. Women don't usually subscribe to this.

The goal is balancing fantasy with reality. That's the key. Even this lady didn't eschew happiness. She found happiness in the every day chore, that's all we can do.

I do think happiness is a nice feeling. Let kids have Christmas, etc. But wanting them to be happy overall is futile at best and damaging at worst. So, while I agree that the woman is mature, I don't think that raising delusional, entitled children is the best way to create mature adults.

It's not matter of being delusional, it's giving people reason to grow-up. Kids just can't handle everything all at once. Parents have to make judgement call in regards to how much fantasy, and how much reality they expose to their kids. Unfortunately, women are often coddled more than men. However, entitlement and happiness don't necessarily go hand and hand. I agree with you on entitlement, not matter what, a child should never feel that the world owes them something.

That's how I see the(or a) root of the problem, anyway.

I'm not sure what problem you're referring to. But if you think that a woman's desire is to want you do something for whatever she does, and that she is entitled, etc. is a problem. Then I disagree. The problem is with you in framing her behavior in that fashion. It's an opportunity for you to display your manhood. Cause the reality is it will never end, it's unsolvable.

You go on dating websites and you see the same thing split up into two groups. Those looking for desperate beta bucks, and those looking for true love. It doesn't exist. Like OP said, women are raised on the fairy tale believe that there's a guy out there that is absolutely positively perfect for them, no matter what they look like or just how mentally unstable they are.

Why do you think the divorce rate is so damn high? Men, who are out there looking for a serious relationship (Read: Betas, No man should ever look for that. Date and see what happens.) have to put up an act to make it seem like they're the perfect man for them. But one can only put up a facade for so long before it cracks.

At this point I doubt I'm there for anything other than to have a good laugh once in a while. The best one is when I see profiles of women who want men to work around their schedule. I won't call you, you call me. If I'm still available, we'll talk.

Like OP said, women are raised on the fairy tale believe that there's a guy out there that is absolutely positively perfect for them, no matter what they look like or just how mentally unstable they are.

It's a growth process. I believe there at any given time there is most definitely some one out there for everyone, but not necessarily forever. If you date enough women you know there is always someone out there. We go for looks a lot of the time, but as we get older looks become less important. And other things begin creep up. Money is no different from good looks, but making a woman earn what she gets has nothing to do with money. This is where they fail.

Another fallacy is the person that saves you is the person that also will love ad infinitum. And unfortunately, this is a running theme in a lot of women looking for beta bucks. The worst trickery of all is that as she improves her condition, she destroys the relationship. Crazy...

Why do you think the divorce rate is so damn high? Men, who are out there looking for a serious relationship (Read: Betas, No man should ever look for that. Date and see what happens.) have to put up an act to make it seem like they're the perfect man for them. But one can only put up a facade for so long before it cracks.

Well the real divorce rate is only about 24%. It's not really that high. People stay married usually, but women and men cheat on their spouses.s. I'd also say that rate is higher than you might think.

For me i do no such thing. I'm usually looking for sex. If something happens, or i like the girl I make decision before the the third sex time as a rule. What your'e talking about is inner game. IF your value is high, it means nothing if she dismisses you. Only if she loves you.

I disagree that as a man that you shouldn't ever look for a relationship. Hell, eventually you got to have kids. There's a time for everything.

At this point I doubt I'm there for anything other than to have a good laugh once in a while. The best one is when I see profiles of women who want men to work around their schedule. I won't call you, you call me. If I'm still available, we'll talk.

Dating sites are usually wishlists which mean about as much as girl saying to you she doesn't date people that do "XYZ". Frankly, unless you're totally off her radar, you'll probably get a date. And then it's up to you. Dating sites are cool, cold walk-ups are much better. Doing more of those may help see he humor in some women's perspective on life.

[–]Baridi 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Well, we all can't have the same philosophies. Also, not to be a stickler, but that divorce rate is in the first ten years. When that number goes to 15, it skyrockets to 43%. Why? Because some people just feel like they're going through the motions, or worse yet, only stay together for the sake of a child. Good input though.

[–]masterrod 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're right.. I respect your opinion.

There some studies yo u can find them.. the real rate is like 24% or something.

It doesn't much matter. Relationships aren't easy. I think that's the reason! I know there are a million reasons why people get divorced.

Funny thing a big cause of divorce are couples thinking they can read minds, and think since their out of sync there's no hope for them. In reality, it's not so simple. That's great when thinks are passionate, but not so great when they are not.

She sounds a lot like my wife of 16 years. She does things like that for me for a variety of reasons. Some are practical, some are just because she cares about my well being. I in return do things for her often because I like to do them.

In any long term committed relationship there's give and take, and yes people get personal benefits out of them. She is very independent and has her own career but I make a lot more money, thus she enjoys a higher standard of living than she would if she were not married to me. I get the many benefits of having a woman in my life, from sex to her getting up before she has to in order to make me coffee and breakfast. It's not all about mutual self interest though. We also share a lot of common hobbies and activities and genuinely care about and love each other. I suppose even the latter, the 'feel good' parts of things, are self interest as well.

Its about complementation and cohesion, what these feminazis dont get is by competing and being adversarial they make themselves insufferable and undesirable.

[–]dancingwithcats 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Indeed. Some of us have known that for most of our lives. The Internet just makes it easier for like minded people to share the truth.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We're used to women being so fucking selfish that a girl like this would have everyone scrambling, she sets herself apart by simply not being a cunt and this is incredibly feminine and attractive.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This reminds me of the post a while back about how some guy said that he would propose to his GF if she made him breakfast every day for a year.

My wife prepares my lunch everyday since we had our daughter. I also get a bonus lovely word in everyone of these delicious lunch. If, for some reason, I want to eat out with the boys, she gets a bit upset because she really love to cook for me. I think I'm very lucky.

I schedule mine, for that reason. "I do lunch with the guys every wednesday, so no need for a lunch that day".

xCaffeineQueen, what do you think I mean by "trooper"? I am trying to figure out why you think that term is degrading.

[–]xCaffeineQueen 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

When I was a child, while going through some hard times people would say, "xCaffeineQueen, you're a trooper. You're so strong." and that's why it seems degrading to me. Like how some people are trained to 'infantize' their clients for their jobs by saying, "So how are we doing today?" kind of talk, that's how calling a women a 'trooper' appears to me.

I didn't mean to piss people off. If no one wants to answer, I guess that's ok because no one came to this thread prepared to answer the questions I'm asking. I can wait for a future thread to address this down the road.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It sounds to me like we have different definitions, but even in your case, I don't think you should see it as degrading. It's not like being a trooper means you get to do some dreaded grunt work - that's not it at all. It's a compliment - you're able to overcome adversity. In my eyes, that's a great thing.

When I called this woman a trooper, I meant it as a compliment to how great she is with her husband. Waking up at 5am and doing something nice for her spouse - that's admirable these days. You don't even see that in movies anymore, except in really old movies from 40+ years ago.

My generation of women could never imagine doing something like that, to put their loved ones first. It's such a rare thing. If you look at the rest of the thread, everyone is acknowledging what a wonderful woman she is, and this is not sarcasm. She's the kind of woman that every guy here dreams of marrying. Even the guys who don't want to get married fantasize about someone like her! I know I do.

I didn't mean to piss people off.

You pissed people off when you started saying how we hate/degrade women. That's now what we're here to do. Part of our mission is to encourage women to be like the example we talked about in this thread. We freaking love women like that! The problem is that there are so few of them.

[–]xCaffeineQueen 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Oooh ok I get it now, thank you. I went back to the thread to find examples of what I was talking about and saw it from a different perspective because of your reply. There are a few that are iffy to me like "this woman gets it" as if women have a responsibility to be exactly what a guy wants, some women aren't raised like that woman was, but what evs. You answered my question beautifully. Have a great day sir! :)

[–]LasherDeviance 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

...Yeah. Let me shut you down right now.

A "trooper" is a woman that marches side by side with her "general". She'll go to war with him and will always have his back. Where is the degrading language? It's actually a complement.

Do you even have any idea who the Patrice that /u/pcadrian is talking about is? You came here with you mind set on seeing derogatory comments made towards women because have probably been told that we are all a bunch of misogynists. Not true in the least. You see what you want to see.

This entire post is basically a thread giving the woman in the article praise because she has the kind of healthy relationship with her husband that a lot of RP'ers would like to have. There isn't any special language the we use here to demean women besides the ones you already know. If somebody is being a bitch, we call them a bitch.

No one thinks that they are better than women, we think that we are different and complementary to each other. Open your eyes and be objective before flying off the handle on a tirade that brought nothing to this discussion.

EOD.

You're the one approaching this with a defensive stance because unlike you, I'm asking questions; you, on the other hand, are acting like you know exactly what my intentions are.

No I'm not being defensive at all, I'm just telling you that TRP is what it is. Being defensive means that someone actually gives a fuck what you think.

Second, you didn't really ask a question, you just flew off the handle at a statement of praise that someone made. You really ought to do some research before making knee-jerk reactions.

Third, really, compliment/complement? Pointing out mistakes like this just serve to show that you are grasping at straws. Don't be a grammar nazi for no reason.

Lastly, I don't know your motivations/intentions nor do I care.

[–]xCaffeineQueen -5 points-4 points-3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Dude, those two words have different meanings but could both have fit, I'm not the kind of person to point out someone's mistakes on purpose for my own satisfaction.

I didn't 'fly off the handle', I was explaining why I feel people think this sub is hateful. When you have extreme views, expecting extreme remarks is to be anticipated because TRP perspectives are far from the norm in the first place.

You are being defensive... or you might just be an asshole, I have no clue, but if I spoke to someone like you are to me I would be in defensive mode.

And you are right, I guess I could do research instead of asking questions.

[–]Oniichan_Overload -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

These aren't extreme views

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

you have nothing respectable to say about them

That is because most of the females we talk about on this sub are american females, with all of the negatives that come with them. Most american women are bitchy, annoying, immature, and unfeminine. There is nothing respectable about them.

have never seen a positive comment towards a female perceived as an equal.

Women are not be equal to a man. That is one of the tenets of TRP. A feminine female can compliment and build a man, yes, but not be equal to one.

Your language is offensive

In the age of PC talk, this is a bastion of male ideas and free speech. If you cant be a big girl and take it, leave.

[–]xCaffeineQueen 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

You guys are missing exactly what I mean. I'm speaking towards the people who don't understand why the average person doesn't like 'the red pill'. Not every single person you've encountered in your life have read the same materials you have, leading to misunderstandings in communication. In the average American knowledge, Patrice's material is not among the common understanding. Patrice might mean something else by calling someone a 'trooper', but most people do not think of his meaning when hearing that word.

And how are women not equal? If women were wiped off of this planet, you guys could have sex with one another but wouldn't repopulate, causing the human species to come to extinction. We couldn't have gotten as far as we are right now without women and men.

Thank you for your honest response, although I don't appreciate the 'big girl' comment because it isn't necessary. Have you ever thought your taste is poor in women and that's why you're finding all the ones that are wrong for you?

I'm just trying to understand.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Patrice might mean something else by calling someone a 'trooper', but most people do not think of his meaning when hearing that word.

I will give you that. But that is his choice of words. Besides, what is a trooper? A trooper is someone who sticks with you through the fight and keeps going. At 17 years of marriage, I would say she has earned the title.

And how are women not equal?

Human biodiversity (HBD) is the field that you want to look into for this. But lets name a couple of major differences:

  • Strength: This one is obvious. Your average male is far stronger than your average female is, and even in trained individuals, the difference is major. For example, the current world record for a female deadlift @ the 198 weight class is 525 lb. This is for a almost 200lb female.

The male record for the same weight class is 861 lb. See the difference?

  • Mental Capability: The average male brain is about 10% bigger than the average female brain. Men have been shown, time and time again, to exceed their female counterparts in mathematical ability. Men dominate mathematical and engineering fields for a reason. Men also have far better spatial reasoning abilities than females. Females are also far more likely to be mentally ill than men, with women being about 45% more likely to develop a mental illness than men.

But enough about that.

If women were wiped off of this planet, you guys could have sex with one another but wouldn't repopulate, causing the human species to come to extinction.

Not really. In today day and age, where things such as in vitro fertilization (which was developed by a man) exist, if women were to disappear off the earth, artificial eggs and wombs would likely be available within 10 years. Artificial wombs are already in testing, and ECMO + amniotic tank shows some promise. Artificial eggs (Made from stem cells) Have already been tested and shown to work, so the only thing missing is a functional artificial womb, which is not far off. Artificial eggs + IVF + artificial womb would mean that females are no longer required to create offspring.

So to recap that point, if all females were to vanish off the face of the earth, after some initial panic, humans would continue to live and reproduce.

We couldn't have gotten as far as we are right now without women and men.

I will give you that point. We could not have gotten as far as we have without both males and females, but from here on we could easily survive without any females. Sorry to pop your bubble, but that's the reality.

[–]xCaffeineQueen 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

So are you saying that if you could, you wouldn't want females to exist with you anymore?

Do you guys see the fact that the two genders are raised differently as well, creating a difference between the sexes? Men are raised to not observe their feelings and reach conclusions in their mind like women, they usually look over the situation at hand and then execute a plan immediately. The differences between the genders create the world we have right now, there are a lot of women who have contributed to science from perspectives males do not have.

Wouldn't that be gross if you just reproduced by fake wombs, it would be like a human factory instead of human reproduction.

[–]ilovemyself101 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

How did you go from him explaining that females if the situation of them disappearing occurred wouldn't cause the extinction of mankind to he doesn't want females around?

I'm completely serious. Your jumping at straws there.

[–]xCaffeineQueen -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Because he hasn't said anything positive about females and is defending how the world would be fine without them. I'm not psychic, but I do like to know where people really are coming from instead of just getting a generalized closure. That was the conclusion I drew from his response and I asked instead of keeping it to myself.

[–]ilovemyself101 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You merely said , where would the world be without females, he answered completely logically, saying due to science the remaining population would be able to repopulate.

I didn't see any negative directed towards females there, just logic that males could populate if females were removed No one here is advocating what your suggesting

[–]xCaffeineQueen -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I never said that this whole sub would feel better if females didn't exist, I asked SAWDUST_IN_MY_HEAD a personal question relating to his reply.

I would enjoy discussing it with you as well, but I wanted to clarify I wasn't saying everyone in this sub is like that.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So are you saying that if you could, you wouldn't want females to exist with you anymore?

No. What I am saying is that if females were to vanish, the human race would be able to keep reproducing.

Wouldn't that be gross if you just reproduced by fake wombs

Have you ever seen a live birth? It is pretty damn gross. Blood all over the place, and quite often the women just starts shitting all over the place. Artificial wombs are probably far less messy than a live birth.

The differences between the genders create the world we have right now

Stick your head out from under whatever rock you live under and look around. The legal system rapes men every day so that women can get in their alpha cocks without the consequences. Females initiate 90% of divorces, and suck up way more resources than men do. Women have contributed absolutely nothing to science. Prove me wrong. Oh wait...

[–]xCaffeineQueen -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Maybe you should take your head out from a rock and see that psychological marketing constructs a lot of problems for society. It creates a manipulative and unhealthy environment, but everyone just wants to blame each other because it makes them feel better in the moment.

Women have contributed to science whether or not you acknowledge it.

You're arguing for how humanity would be fine with out women, that's why I'm drawing conclusions that you'd be happier without them.

It looks like I've received the answers I'm looking for. Thanks for your time and I hope you have a good day.

What's interesting is that she is probably ten times happier with her life than the feminists lining up to tear her down.

[–][deleted] 100 points101 points102 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yep, 17 years together. The tragedy is that it's actually gotten so bad that to make a fucking lunch for your husband is a crime against feminism.

[–]Swifthand69 points 12 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

I would never do that

they say. Never do something positive for someone you supposedly love without...

What does he do in return?

... getting something directly back.

Feminists must be the most miserable people. No wonder they're bitchy all the time.

Why are all the people in this woman's social circle verbally badgering/judging her for her simple and admirable choice?

[–]AndrewAtrus 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Jealousy. It's like the whole "sex-positive" culture: drag the competition down to your level.

I'm uncertain if your social circle or hers is more common. There was a woman on /r/offmychest today who was ranting about her family that is judging poorly her decision to be a stay at home wife/mom and work from home for a little extra household income. I certainly realize there are many decent/non-judgmental women out there, but there are many who aren't. I think younger women are more likely to have a bad attitude towards this sort of thing, which is why TRP tends to view them as unicorns (very rare).

[–]EarnestMalware 40 points41 points42 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I think the best part of this was the woman admitting that she simply wasn't good enough at cleaning and cooking to operate under the delusion that she could get by on those skills alone. Suffice it to say, I think most of the guys here wouldn't mind working plenty hard to support a woman who could actually take pride in her ability to tend to her nest.

Good luck finding a woman like that. They want the paycheck handed over, then don't want him to work as much so he can share housework. Then they bitch that they don't have enough money. Logic, not the strong suit of the female.

[–]ilovemyself101 -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

Too true, read somewhere that a women that does housework constitute about 6 hours per day including child raising

Female here (gasp, yes in redpill male territory) this is how i was raised and taking care of the male spouse like this is what i consider part of the job description of being a wife. After checking out this sub, i had no idea what the aweful feminists were doing to guys. Anyways i just want to say that i like this sub so far and appreciate the especially honest male perspective i am seeing here. Thank you guys, now please don't throw me out, I'm learning a lot.

[+]frequentlywrong -6 points-5 points-4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

/r/theredpill was thriving before you wankers from /r/seduction arrived. It's going to shit now. Welcoming a woman to the sub. Jesus fucking christ. The entire point of red pill is not putting women on a pedestal. But here you are fucking losers, being extra nice to the girl. Maybe she will suck your dick if you're nice. Why don't you go buy her gold, to make up for me being a dick. As a nice apology from the new red pill.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

the red pill isn't about being misogynistic its about realizing gender differences. you call it being nice us real men call it logical thinking. We aren't going to be like the feminists who bash any man that provides his own view onto their subrreddit, why? because we think logically not emotionally. What would you have us do call her a cunt and a bitch until she stops commenting on the thread? Give me a fucking break and go make yourself look bad elsewhere.

[–]Petrarch1603 21 points22 points23 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Thank you guys, now please don't throw me out, I'm learning a lot.

A lot of people in here are actually women. There are frequently posts from women who come here expecting to hate it, but find out that a lot of this makes sense. Its a controversial subreddit, but its not as black and white as the rest of reddit would have you believe.

[–]46xy 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

But how could they see sense in logic? Are they not illogical beings?

ps i am red pill. but there are some wrinkles which are yet to be ironed out.

[–]Petrarch1603 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Both men and women are illogical beings.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

After checking out this sub, i had no idea what the aweful feminists were doing to GIRLS.

Corrected that for you. Us guys feel indifferent to what feminist do. Most of us here just shake our head and laugh at the irony, then proceed to plow the next girl with utter contempt with the market feminism has brought to town.

You've never been divorced I take it?

Their Misandry is deeply entrenched in martial law - which removes men's rights and unjustly jails them. That's real visited harm.

[–]Clauderoughly 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're more than welcome here.

Don't believe the bullshit thrown around that we are "anti women".

We just happen to hold opinions that fly in the face of feminism and pretty much what 99% of reddit believes.

[–]peopleofthepine 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I've read No More Mr Nice Guy several times lately. This sort of thing is something that is covered. You give while you expect to get something in return and if the other person does not live up to this covert contract you've made then it breeds resentment.

This woman gets it. It is about giving out of abundance. Giving without expecting anything in return.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Just finished that book myself, really good. People assume that sort of book is a guide to being a dick, its just how to be normal and assertive. Society had created a while bunch if really really ridiculously "nice" guys.

Will give it a second look after Christmas. I know it will be a while for it to really sink in.

[–]Mightyskunk 20 points21 points22 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

This is exactly how my wife is about mornings, and her friends don't get it. Some of them even get up at 4 AM to go running, and then don't make breakfast for their husbands. I asked my wife once why she does it, because I could easily do it myself. She told me that it's the least she could do for me if I'm willing to go out every day and work hard to keep a roof over her head.

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

She's a good woman.

[–]Mightyskunk 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Damn right she is. She has also helped me to improve myself as a person. Why she married the massive beta I was years ago, I'll never know, but life is way better.

[–]MegMartinson -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why? -- She saw the potential in you and helped you nurture it and bring it out.

Yup. She's a "trouper", like the cunt above disparaged so eloquently.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think my ex-wife is the anti-Christ to your Jesus. Not only would I have to make my own lunches (which 99% of the time were ramen noodles), but she would Skype me at work to bitch about the kids at home.

[–]notthegigglestick 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

When I think about getting married, this is the type of woman I envision. She seems like she has the right motivations in this relationship, and it's important to point out that she still has her own career. Does making that sack lunch make her a slave? No. She's in a give and take marriage.

Though a lot of women share similar tendencies, not all women are built equal. This woman has far higher value in my eyes than most. Her husband did well.

[–]TRP VanguardArchwinger 16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It is a sad, sad day when a woman who does a favor for her man is suspiciously questioned by other women. "WTF? Are you an oppressed throwback to the dark ages? Does your husband beat you? You don't have to do anything for him, you know. Just hang out and collect his paychecks, and divorce-rape him if you get bored or if he starts doing something stupid like wondering what the hell you add to the marriage. He is lucky just to have anyone."

It is, all joking aside, considered a serious relationship error for a woman to set a precedent for "serving" a man in any way. I'm surprised there hasn't been a mass movement to silence her and shut down her site for promoting hate speech and oppression.

THEY DO EXIST!!!

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Great piece. Here's the thing, it's got nothing to do with the lunch. She has created a ritual (something a lot of us in this sub could use). This specific ritual satisfies a lot of things for her. She gets to contribute to their marriage, the husband is fed, and fed well from the sounds of it. They're both fulfilled. It's truly a partnership. She utilizes that time for her own things and accomplishes them. Her husband is obviously happy with the fact that his lady is doing this for him, but he's also spending time with her, and that is worth the time.

[–]nerdyfitnessguy 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Now that's a real woman.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I would marry a woman that was willing to do this for me, in a heartbeat. It's enough to wake up and get myself and my dog ready, if I had someone helping out with my breakfast and lunch my life joy and gratitude would grow exponentially.

[–]MegMartinson 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

We are here and in large numbers. The unfortunate fact is that in much of North America and Western Europe we are in a minority of women. Nonetheless, we ARE here and we are looking for YOU.

Look for us. We are easy to find once you filter out all the misandrous cunts lurking to marry then divorce you for cash and prizes. -- We know you are a keeper and that you are looking for a keeper. We know a winner when we see one.

[edit: I (me) am spoken for, so am not available. I wish you good luck in your search]

[–]TRP VanguardArchwinger -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Easier said than done, but I think a lot of the unpopular sentiments around here (the anger, hate, pissing on females as a whole, etc.) undertaken by a few of the sub's subscribers is also indicative that unlike a lot of the calmer, aloof, dispassionate long-term advocates of TRP, these emotional guys still have a little bit of hope left to give. They might just still be hoping to find one of the small minority of worthwhile human beings left on the female side of the line.

[–]Clauderoughly 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My wife does similar things for me, as well as taking care of the house and all the little things while I am off at work.

It makes us SO much happier because it means that we get more quality time together on the weekends and after work.

We aren't trying to get all the housework and everything else done, like we would be if she was working full time.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What a gal. She hit it right on the nose with 'what doe she do for you?' Relationships are so often seen as a business arrangement. If she didn't want to do it, she wouldn't. She loves him, so she does. Let her. I'm sure he does things for her because he loves her, or their relationship dynamic just works. She understands love.

[–]redpill90 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You mean people who love each other do things for one another without the expectation of anything in return? OPPRESSION.

[–]phathack 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"What does he do for you..."

Not much he just provides a roof over her head, food on the table, clothes on her back is the father of her children, and probably many modern conveniences that are now part of most peoples lives.

Other than those couple of little things not much.

[–]YouveGotMeSoakAndWet 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To be fair, it does say that she has her own career, so her husband isn't solely providing a roof over her head, food for her to cook, etc....

Conspiracy Theory: By making him lunch she ensures that he has lunch at his desk/work and greatly limits the female exposure her man would have if he went out for lunch.
