OYS #1

Readings: TRM (all volumes), Pook, NMMNG, WISNIFG, The Sex God Method, The Way of the Superior Man, 48 Laws of Power I’m not currently reading anything of value— I’m down for recommendations to help me grow. I have some texts in my backlog that I need to take some time to dig into.

Body & Lifts… Barbell BP: 180lbs, 8 reps— DB BP: 70lbs 8 reps

Barbell Squat: 225, 8 reps

Been using machines more for Press & Squat, but my Planet Fitness got some barbells recently, so I am building back up with these lifts. I definitely can squat more, but I want to take my time with getting the mind-muscle connection engraved in my brain so I can rip heavier weight more safely. I’m almost at my wall for Barbell Bench Press, but I can do 250lbs consistently with solid form on the plate loaded chest press machines. Been targeting my glutes more lately with hip thrusts & RDL’s to improve my form for those lifts instead of pushing for a heavier squat weight.

I have a lifting goal of being able to do 3 sets of 225lbs bench, and 3 sets of 8 clean pull-ups. I’ve been counting my macros & calories since May 2025. I was doing a deficit for a while, but I’m looking to stay at maintenance/slight surplus more days now. I’d love to be able to give my partner a shoulder ride at shows, and I think that’s a pretty obtainable goal, if I keep doing what I’m doing now. My body is where I excel, and I’ve truly fallen in love with lifting. It’s a hobby I’m passionate about, and I love adding things to tweak my lifts each week.

I love building muscle, and I usually do solid with the slow steady growth here. I could talk about all the tweaks I’m making for eons— been leaning into improving my muscle recovery with worthwhile supplements/vitamins, a red light for chilling at home, castor oil patches, and a vibration plate.

Overall, I’d say that I’m consistently growing with Lifting & Physical Wellness— I’m not worried about my growth here. I just have to keep doing what I am doing now, and find the small tweaks that work better for me.

Mind & Career… I joined this small company in Dec 2024 as their Data Quality Specialist after hitting some rough patches in my career— I was an alcoholic, imploded due to life hardships, and lost a dope job back in 2023.

With my current company I was put on a PIP in Sept 2025, and I may be one of the few folks who has actually gotten off of a PIP. Locking in & Anxiety fueled validations have really saved my butt with the PIP, but I still want to perform better. While I’m off the PIP, I have a backlog of projects I am cleaning up for my team, and I know I’m not known as a reliable performer— I want to change that.

I avoid thinking about my job, because it’s arguably the weakest point of my life. The avoidant approach has been causing me anxiety, and it’s a clear area of opportunity in my life.

As an actionable step forward, I’m going to work some extra hours this week cleaning up some reports I own & catching up on some projects I have in my backlog. Beyond that, I just want to change my mindset towards work— I’m nonchalant & cavalier with work, a real dgaf attitude, and I should care. I want to shift my internal paradigm with work towards something I care about— like lifting and other things in life that I enjoy. I think rewiring how my brain approaches work will allow a lot of the other pieces to natural align with my career.

Soul & Home Life… I’m 35– been in an LTR for a bit over 2 years. Previously divorced. Solid Relationship— all of my boxes are checked: we enjoy growing together and are super aligned when it comes to our core values. I love my life honestly. I’m handsome and have developed more muscle than I have ever had in my entire life— the health & wellness journey has been wonderful, and I’ve been enjoying the slow growth.

Planning on proposing to my LTR— need to schedule some time with an attorney to get a prenup drafted, and there’s also some premarriage counseling questionnaires I want to go through. LTR is solid, and I’d rather focus on my own growth with the OYS— ain’t a thing I’d change about my current relationship aside from having one of us hit the lottery. We spent this past weekend enjoying some raves together, and all the progress we’ve been seeing with our bodies makes enjoying EDM events way better.

I own my home, have two rad dogs, schedule time to enjoy my hobbies, quality LTR. I meditate frequently, but can definitely increase the frequency of my journaling— hoping the weekly OYS helps me set positive intentions with my journaling too.

I love my life, but I do really need to tighten it up when it comes to my career. Time to lock in with work this week.

I am so glad that TheRedPill is doing OYS now. Thank you moderators. This week will sound like gloating but I have been on top of it this week, will not always be this way.
OYS #1 3/24/26
Stats: 5’8, 28Y, 155 pounds
Lifts: Bench 245lbx5, OHP 115lbx5, Squat 195lbx5, BB Row 165lbx5 (not going to list accessories)
Vision/Mission: To live a healthy happy long prosperous life of abundance in beautiful cool interesting women, to spend quality time with loved ones, to lift, to excel in my career, to grow in my passions, and to spend time with the people I love
Completed reading: sidebar, NMMNG, WISNIFG, Poon, Pook, Bachelor Pad Economics + most of Clarey’s other books, Rollo Tomassi Book 1-2, Praxeology 1-3, fuccfiles, Rian Stone’s Mids Watch series, most of practical female psychology. In addition, a lot of content from Austen Summers, Coach Kyle, and Coffee Daygame. Looking to start a text on daygame at some point if anyone has any recommendations. Currently reading a text for graduate school.
Physical/Diet: Lifting four days a week, aiming for 30 min run every other day. Have realized I have been phoning it in on my lifts, though I want to push out the max gains possible and though 80 percent effort will get 95 percent of gains, I want all of it. I do a modified Coolcicada PPL with some extra volume on the major compounds.
Have been eating a little shittier, not getting as much protein as I would like, a little more carbs. I run really low carb in the warm months because carbs and heat don’t mix. I also want to eat less when its hot because calories = sweat. Going to demote this girl (from stage 2 to stage 1 in HumanSockPuppet’s system) so I have more time/discipline to stay dialed with diet.
Dating/social: I had a few decent plates a couple months ago but let them fall off when this girl I’ve been seeing came into the picture. Fun, pretty, and charismatic girl, but not very bright and has lets just say too much baggage to take seriously. Amazing in the sack. I am balancing way too many goals in my life to be able to commit significant time to this girl.
At the point I’m at with this girl, I feel bad gaming other girls. I know I shouldn’t, but maybe the bluepill in me runs strong. Frankly, I want higher caliber women than her. I have had it before many times and I know I will again with the effort. I want to spend at least six hours a week daygaming. I’m still a beginner in daygame, have probably done under a hundred approaches. I just fucking love daygame.
Have been less social overall. Before seeing her I was adamant about being social all the time, talking to people in the gym consistently, talking to people at church. It isn’t her fault but she is not helping.
Career/Education: Have been fucking kicking ass at work. Everything is caught up, I’m more on top of shit than almost everyone else, though I am being careful to not take on any more work. I have quite a bit of free time on the clock to take care of other goals. Also kicked ass at grad school last week. Went on an autistic bender and knocked out a huge sum of work.
Mental: Have been doing great mentally. Feeling motivated, positive, excited, and optimistic. There are moments where I feel things have stalled but I have to remind myself the reward is the effort, not the outcome.

Goals:

I have been spending way too much time playing Silent Hill 2. Incredible game but not the time in life for it
my goal with daygame is this: I live in a smallish town where if I approach bot, I’ll quickly become “that guy” in my town. I travel for work so I practice daygame in cities I travel to. I want to 1) kill approach anxiety for good 2) move past the beginner stage of approaching so when I approach or game in my town, I absolutely make it count.

Have been seriously considering donating to a sperm bank then getting a vasectomy. My worst fear is getting a plate pregnant. I know it isn’t likely with condom+pull out, but unlikely things happen all the time.
Received a sum of money I was not expecting. I need to resist the urge to spend on shit I don't need.

My temper has been coming out a lot these past weeks because I haven't been keeping myself tuned up thanks to the curve balls life has been throwing at me. In the moments, I've lost my cool. Screaming to the heavens. Thankfully once my emotions level out 15 minutes later, I've come back and have been smashing those curve balls out of the park.

I'm still not happy with myself and where my mind went. why the fuck even bother, I had less issues living in the gutter. There was one night I sincerely contemplated reaching out to my old connections to cut loose. With greater responsibility comes more problems and it's upsetting I thought about going back to the "easy life."
