She's about to hit the wall so she's looking to lock down a beta provider, nothing more to say really.

For a real life example of women hitting the wall, check any "serious" dating website. You're going to see the phrase "not looking for hook ups!" quite often.

[–]Meglomaniac 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Women really have two modes.

Initially its to ride the cock carousel. To find an alpha male to fill them with the top quality seed in order to provide the best offspring for survival. They exchange sex when they are in their prime, for a top quality seed from a top quality man.

Then around 26-30, they have a hormonal change in what they want in a man. They start looking for a the best male that they can lock down in order to provide for their young already sired by the top quality seed. They exchange sex for survival.

When they switch, we call it hitting the wall.

[–]md61921 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yes and no. The wall is the unofficial moment when a women's natural looks start to fade hard. It's the knowledge either consciously or unconsciously that they soon will not be able to lock down a quality male that drives them to settle. In the past women never would wait this long for children and to lock down a man but feminism has changed our culture. Now women waste their quality years riding the carousel

[–]vaker 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It's not a hormonal change. It's one of their rare rational moments when they realize their fading attraction is going to be a big problem soon.

[–]madstatistician 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, hitting the wall is when their looks go south and their eggs rot.

Settling down is what women used to be taught to do (by the "Patriarchy" aka civilized societal customs firmly grounded in biotruths) in spite of their animal impulses, in preparation for this event.

Nowadays some traditional or uncommonly sensible women still do that fairly early.

An increasing number of foolish ones play chicken with it, drawing out their carousel years as long as they think they can get away with, often ending up burned, and because they were only ever offered the blue pill, they have no idea why.

Others damn the torpedoes, hand the ship over to their hamster, bury their nose in their smartphones and sail straight through the wall into the seas of spinsterhood. They think will stay young and hawt and fertile forever and if you disagree it's because you're a goddamn sexist pig.

Feminism won't rest until all women are in that last category.

[–]vaker 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

(by the "Patriarchy" aka civilized societal customs firmly grounded in biotruths)

This might be offtopic. I find it amazing how 'progressives' throw away traditions (that humanity converged on) for various untried ideas with no practical proof whatsoever. In fact the word progressive, pisses me off, they're progressing towards what exactly? 'Experimentalists' would be more accurate. Or 'reckless experimentalists'.

[–]BloodRoseTRP 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Keep in mind that even after they hit the wall, they inherently still want to ride the cock carousel

[–]TRP Vanguardscottishredpill 20 points21 points22 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Welcome to the real world lads. Get to know more women as plates, and as they start to open up to you more, you will hear many stories like the op and this:

"I'm not really attracted to my boyfriend, but we like the same stuff and we get on ok"

"I would leave him, but I can't afford rent by myself and I hate living with people I don't know"

"I don't think about how long I've been married, it's like doing time. It's the kids that matter"

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan 17 points18 points19 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

And then she thinks she can branch swing to you when she's basically told you how much of an ungrateful and deceitful fuck she is.

Fucking silly bitches.

[–]TRP Vanguardscottishredpill 14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Haha, "I deserve to be more than a fuck buddy!" "And I should be king of the fucking world babe, funny how things work out"

[–]Haraklus 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Ah, how many women like this I've met.

I've made it clear to one of my plates that if she wants more commitment, I'd let her be my live-in sex slave for a few months, but definitely don't see her as girlfriend material. She seems to think this is unreasonable, despite the fact that she can't manage her own emotions, has no career, and has already shown me that she has no problem with cheating.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What a silly bitch. Make sure she doesn't jack your sperm and try to trap you... happened to a few guys I know. Ain't worth cumming inside so: pull-out, vasectomy or condoms.

[–]Haraklus 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Condoms every time. I do not ever compromise on this.

[–]drrrrrr 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, my god when this happens it is hilarious if it wasn't so sad. If you can't treat this one chump decently, who is paying your rent and taking you out, and would be over the moon to buy you flowers and get an uninspired blowjob, then what makes you think you can hold down a high value man?

That's like my friends who suck at their middle of the pack jobs and constantly bitch about their boss, yet brag about how they cut corners, take massive smoke breaks, and overreport their hours worked. What makes you think you should be any higher in the company food chain if this is how you behave at work...

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"I'm not really attracted to my boyfriend, but we like the same stuff and we get on ok"

These are almost the exact words my ex- told me for why she's "probably" getting engaged to her current bf, without the "I'm not really attracted", though I can smell the beta provider through Facebook. Completely unrelated, she randomly texts me/FB messages me/will sometimes bring up the last time we fucked fondly, when we were both single. But she's halfway to the Wall and wants kids.

[–]jeebusthecat 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I metaphorically spit out my coffee hearing that first one. My ex said almost exactly that about me and her last boyfriend.

[–]md61918 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Oh god this dude is beyond fucked if he marries this girl.

First off, it's painfully obvious she just sees him as her wall approaching beta bucks. Notice she never said she loved him. And she doesn't. A woman's love is directly related to her tingles but for this man she has probably almost none. As /u/TheeRyanGrey pointed out, hypergamy won't allow it. I wouldn't be surprised if she has already cheated on him.

If he does marry her, she will never respect him and he'll probably encourage it with further beta behavior. This ends with either an extremely unhappy marriage or divorce.

[–]semigod__ 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

in my bluepill days i would be confused too.

but man, is there a TRP red flag that she doesnt exhibit?

TRP advice to him: since he still has the love googles on, keep her for another year. then they should wear off and he should dump her and go for some fresh meat.

[–]too_long_didnt_read 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep. As soon as she finds an alpha with more money and a bigger house than her betamax she's gone faster than Britney Spears can finish her dessert.

[–]TheeRyanGrey 27 points28 points29 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

(she has a decent job ($50k) and is staying with her parents for cultural reasons and to save up money (although she was born and raised in the United States)

(She's very attractive and popular (I think because she is just so nice to everyone she sees, in addition to being so attractive)

(She has a lot of friends who she constantly hangs out with (her phone is always vibrating from text messages during our dates)

She's just as old/older than you. She's richer than you. She's cooler than you.

This. Ends. Poorly.

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

She is approaching the Wall, however

[–]ilovemyself101 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The guy sounds like a nice guy, I hope he sees the light, dumps her. And goes and successfully Plowright the field.

He has some of the means to do it, (own house, good job)

[–]TheeRyanGrey 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She's desperate of course, but so are plenty of women this guy would be more successful and happy with.

Older/Richer/Cooler/More Famous=death sentence

[–]Haraklus 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

She sounds SE Asian to me.

[–]TheeRyanGrey 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

did the staying with the parents give it away?

[–]Haraklus 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That and everything else.

[–]badass9000 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The hamster is realizing that she's about to hit the wall and wants to get married ASAP to get some beta bucks.

[–]LuciusExitius 20 points21 points22 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Two major things I take from this, everyone follow with me here...

  1. Her phone rings off the hook when they are on their dates.
  2. Her sex drive is down, because "birth control".

She's getting some on the side and he is providing her with nice dates. Classic Alpha fux, beta bux scenario.

[–]luxury_banana 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't let this guy dissuade you, all of the totally believable speculation about her being "demisexual" and such offered up in r/relationships is far more plausible than a textbook expression of dual sexual strategy where the OP is the male being used for what he can provide.

[–]through_a_ways 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

While that may indeed be happening, birth control has very drastic effects on female sexuality.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

True, but it's that line in context with everything else that has us calling bullshit.

[–]through_a_ways 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I know, but the birth control may be playing a factor as well, even if it's not the primary one.

[–]drrrrrr 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

While that is true, if a girl isn't fucking your brains out when she is trying to squeeze you into committing for marriage... something is terribly wrong.

[–]LuciusExitius 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It don't disagree with your statement. But it was everything else in the article that lead me to this conclusion.

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"I know I'm not going to find anyone better than you and you're what I'm looking for".

I'm rather surprised by how pithily she states this.

Typically when a woman approaches The Wall and settles for a lower-value man, she rationalizes it as "maturity, a change in taste, and a greater appreciation for nice guys."

But this girl: she's basically straight up admitting: "At this point, you're the best I can do. I'm going to lock this down while I still can."

[–]andromede8 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

29 years old.

/tread.

She probably could find someone older but it's probably not an option because ''society''. I have couple of friend who went with older men (not that much older seriously) and they had to justify themselves to me, like it what someting abnormal (i'm talking like 24/35), by saying ''yeah but he's different, act more like someone my age'' (wich wasn't true, they were just... funny...). hehe.

This woman is about to ruin her life and HIS (she will left him, it's a matter of time), that's sad.

[–]tallwheel 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh fuck. This. I know this experience all too well.

She loves the concept of marriage more than she loves the person she is considering marrying. Hell this is not really love at all as far as I'm concerned.

A woman stating "Marry me or I'll break up with you," makes no sense from the perspective of a man who is healthily in love with a female. Why would a man want to break up with a woman he loves enough to consider marriage? A woman loves what a man can provide for her, not the man himself.

Baby rabies and the wall compound the problem. If she is in beta/provider-seeking mode, she would rather spend her attractive and fertile years pursuing a relationship with a man who she knows has marriage on the to-do list. She'll dump a man who she even claims to love in a heartbeat if she thinks she can find him elsewhere.

[–]RG68 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Slightly off topic, but having never truly loved a woman yet in the romantic sense of the word, I really don't understand the hang up on saying 3 damn words. It's three fucking syllables, how can it carry so much weight? Considering how easy I would find it to say "I love you" sincerely without a single ounce of truth behind it I cannot fathom why it's become such a big deal. Judge actions not words.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

She has a decent job ($50k) and is staying with her parents for cultural reasons and to save up money

If this woman is Muslim, Indian or Asian aren't all bets off? I've always thought of TRP as being a primarily "Western" concept, but maybe I have misunderstood.

[–]drrrrrr 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women are women. Indian culture is a lot better than western in many ways (and worse in others) regarding a girl's "game" for marriage. But at the end of the day, Indian parents want their daughter to marry up and there is a MASSIVE concept of "the wall".

Like Pink Floyd levels. In the society that parents and grandparents grew up in, if you weren't married by 25, 26, it was fucking done. And it was a shame on you and the whole family. Which means that traditional indian women will sometimes put themselves through MORE hamster contortions than western women in order to convince themselves that they are "in love" with the guy who is their ticket to "the married life".

[–]luxury_banana 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, no. Why do you think the sexual mores of every major thriving civilization and culture in the world developed similarly? Muslims even have stories in their scriptures about the importance of women not sleeping around as "no one would know who the father is." The Arabic world was once upon a time was more a advanced civilization at the forefront of scientific thought, from what I understand. They knew how reproduction worked, though they likely only made educated guesses on it.

Women are women the world over. Behavioral biology doesn't magically change. Incentives and consequences drive behavior and can alter the "instinctual default" if you will, and while in the "old country" for her people, promiscuous behavior may be something that's very risky it's much less so when she's moved out and into a first world country. She's likely no better than the locals in her actual behavior.

[–]BayerischeMotoren 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes and no. The dynamics of the Game play out differently in Western and Indian/Muslim/Asian societies but it's the same basic forces at work.

[–]Haraklus 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, the difference is that those other cultures use cultural forces to discourage shitty, mercenary behavior in relationships, whereas Western culture encourages it. That is a pretty big factor.

However, many people lose touch with their cultural heritage and pressures/rewards over time.

[–]lordofall101 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yeah it sounds like shes in the arranged marriage kind of mind set. 100% RPW style of I know I don't love you and love cant really exist. seems like TRP would like that shes logical and not emotional.

[–]angeliswastaken -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

While I agree this woman is plastered flatly against the wall, I don't think her reluctance to say "I love you" is that big of a deal. Society has so thoroughly idealized those three words, they no longer mean what they are supposed to mean. If she is Muslim, Inidan, Asian, etc then her pragmatic approach to marriage is all you can expect from her based on her upbringing. However the same conservative upbringing that explains the reluctance to say ILU makes some of the other red flags even more concerning (her phone ringing off the hook while on dates with him, and the birth control issue)

Actions are the true test of love.
