Summary: How do you discuss politics with your LTR or when gaming women?

Best approach is: DON'T do it. There are plenty of better topics to talk about with women. Sometimes though you can't avoid doing it, either because you are in a LTR, or because you are asked a direct question.

I'm a right wing libertarian. Actually in my country I'm called a "liberale", and it has nothing to do with "liberal" in a US sense... confusing isn't it? :) Anyway the majority of women in my country, expecially the young ones, are left wing, feminist, environmentalist, some of them vegan/vegetarian as well. Basically I believe in the opposite of their opinion on most topics.

Some people pretend to agree with political stances of their (potential) partners, hoping to avoid fights and unnecessary discussions: I prefer to stand my ground.

Basically, in a non-confrontational and confident way, I say something like "I don't agree with you, actually my idea on <topic> is <idea>. I'm not asking you to agree with me, but please don't try to change my opinion, you cannot do it".

Following this "script" I managed for example to express my (negative) opinion on LGBT adoption with lot of die-hard feminist/SJW girls, without them getting mad or dumping me.

While I never try to convince anyone of my ideas (I think it's pointless), I also noticed that when you stand your ground sometimes they start to entertain some of your ideas.

Conclusion: only if necessary, stand your ground, don't change your ideas, don't try to change other's ideas. It will be appreciated.
