Taken from Markus Aurelius' Meditations, book IV, no. 16.

"Body, soul, intellegence: to the body belong sensations, to the soul appetites, to the intellegence principles. To receive the impressions of forms by means of appearances belongs even to animals; to be pulled by the strings of desire belongs both to wild beasts and to men who have made themselves into women..."

This for me really affirms one of the core principles of red pill theory and practice, in that we as men need to master our desires. Certainly with regards to women who are slaves to it by nature and are further encouraged to act that way via feminism and the feminine imperative. "She is the storm and you are the rock" is really put into perspective for me with this particular quote. If we as men want to become successful in any and all aspects of our lives we must do this one thing and rule our desire.

Everything the red pill provides us with I think requires mastery of desire, whether it be lifting, abstaining from masturbation, spinning plates or even taking in and internalizing what we learn here. It all requires the discipline to stop and think rather than simply giving in to what you want in that moment. Not eating that junk food, not wasting hours on junk activities, not sitting on the couch all day, not giving into your blue pill self and crawling after a woman's attentions.

It all boils down to this one principle.
