Don't Argue About the Pill
On mobile so I can't make a huge post about this, but I just wanted to remind everyone that attempting to argue in favor of Red Pill values is not only fruitless, it creates enemies. Last night, I felt like I was speaking directly to the Matrix when a few Brothers of my fraternity got into an impromptu red-vs.-blue pill argument. None of them explicitly know about the pill, but it was an argument of values, so to speak. The lines were clearly drawn.
The argument got launched when someone brought up the cliche'd double standard: "when a guy sleeps with a lot of girls, he's worshiped, but when a girl sleeps with a lot of guys , she's a slut. It's not fair," said one of the blue pillers. A redpiller replied, "It's because girls can get laid easily. For guys, it takes skill." You can see where this is going. I joined in, against my better judgement, and we were almost in a shouting match by the time it was over. A few key blue pill points that were brought up include:
- We (the redpill ones) are brainwashed by society to think this way
- Women should always be treated with respect, even if they sleep around
- Using derogatory slang like "hoes and sluts" contributes to an unsafe culture
- Objectifying women leads people down the path to committing rape and assault
Typing this out now, it's hard to believe it happened. You can see why I felt like I was speaking directly to the feminine Matrix. The guys saying this kept giving disclaimers like "I'm not a feminist, but...", completely unaware of the fact that they were parroting feminist values almost 100% accurately. It's sad to see my own Brothers fall for the dogma, but that's progressive college culture for you.
Back to my main point: arguing with people who think this way is useless. Did my redpill-esque Brother and I convince the other guys that their views were wrong? No. We brought up every counter-argument possible, but every word out of our mouths just convinced the bluepill guys that we were crazy. Remember: those who are plugged in think they are in the minority. They think most people are jerks to women, and that nice guys are the minority. (the Apex fallacy, look it up). They don't see that society is feminized, and in fact, they think the exact opposite - so their default defense against redpill arguments is to assume that redpillers are brainwashed by society.
All that we accomplished by arguing and being rational with them was pissing them off.
The only way to combat feminine dogma is to live in accordance with redpill values. Prove that you can be a valuable, likeable person without subscribing to feminism. Subtly poke holes in feminist theories by asking the right questions and probing for details until the hamster can't keep up.
One more time: arguing is useless.
Edited for clarity. Also, this post is a lot more popular right now and has a very similar message.
