Messages, messages, messages. Who gives a fuck?

You do. You are reading reddit, after all. And not just reddit, but a specific subreddit on improving your relationships and power with women. In other words, you've devoted a considerable amount of your life to improving your ability to communicate. I congratulate you.

So what? It's easier to jump right in, via an illustration. Let's say I say, "Hey, faggot." Whatchu gonna do? If you're like, "Hey," back, that means you've accepted 'faggot' as a mode of address. This isn't hypothetical. Jon Jones recently did it to Danny Boy Cormier. "Hey, pussy." Eventually, Cormier said, "What, Jon?" and sealed his own social fate.

Point being, in any exchange, there is an implied equality of sorts. Whether a conversation or a fight for dominance, or even an actual fight, we have to get down on the same level to do the damn thing. In Jakobson's six functions of language, there is a function called the 'phatic'. It's when we say shit like "Hello" or "How are you?" or "Hmmm?" We don't mean anything in particular by it. What we are doing is checking to see that the line of communication is indeed open. If I do that by appending "Faggot" as a mode of address, and you answer me, even if it's to say, "I'm not a faggot," you've acknowledged, by your actions, that 'faggot' is a functional mode of address for you.

After all, you wouldn't respond to, "Hey postman," if you weren't the fucking postman, now would you?

Communication is important. Here at red pill, our basic theory is: "Look to reality. Don't pay attention to talk. It's just talk. What do people DO?" Now thems is words to live by. But, you must also know that reality is structured via concepts and language. It's baked into our world itself. If you can gaslight someone -- the way that women do -- you can affect reality itself. People base their reality largely on words, after all. We all know about hamster pushing.

So learn.

Now we come to the hard part. Follow me, here. In verbal challenges and responding to tests, like in many things, there is a U-shaped curve. The highest and the lowest are similar. For example, if someone pops shit with me, I can refuse to engage. There is a walking away of strength - i.e. I'm too wavy to even come down to your level and struggle for dominance - and there is a walking away of weakness. Often, the difference is extraordinarily subtle, based on context and body language. Many people might read it the wrong way. To further complicate matters, many people rationalize the one as the other. After all, isn't blue pill entirely just people thinking they're taking the higher road as an excuse to cover up shame and fear?

To go to our earlier point, someone could say, "Hey faggot" to me, and I could answer "Hey," with suitable narrowed eyes and eye contact, as a way to display my utter insane level of security and Zen mastery; to show that the faggot appellation doesn't bother me. But I'm not a Zen master, despite appearances to the contrary. In the eyes of the world, I am accepting the appellation "faggot" probably due to weakness and lack of social understanding, until proven otherwise. And not even Zen masters can get away with despising what other people think.

If you really are that secure, eventually the otherwise will be proven. But not even Warren Buffett can be certain of the timing of such things. He lost billions on oil futures, knowing that eventually they had to go up. Well, that's true. But eventually could be twenty years from now, and the resultant squeeze crushed him. Beware of thinking you're the master, even when you are; beware of thinking you know better, even when you do.

So what is to be done? It's a tradeoff. Someone calls me faggot, and I say, "I'm not a faggot," I'm getting defensive and showing insecurity. If I say "Hey," back, I'm showing that I don't give a fuck, but in the short term I could be harming my social value mightily. The obvious answer is to affirm and amplify, of course. "You wish." "You want me that bad?" and "It's cute when you try to put me on your level" are all glorious answers.

Or you could just stay quiet and give them the eyes of doom. Even better, pull a classic "Are you talkin' to me?"

Earlier today, someone I had beat up was hanging out with some other guys in a dark lot. I heard them say, "Is that him?" So, of course, I asked them if they wanted something. The ringleader asked me for a cigarette. I told him that I didn't have shit for him but these hands.

Which brings us to our second point. Pay attention. Language is action. Forget what people are saying, what are they doing? What is the point of their words? Are they trying to lure you in? Stunt on you? Stand on your shoulders? If you don't know, don't say anything.

The first step to being strong is not acting out of weakness. People who are empty are driven into nervous behaviors, especially when it comes to the phatic function. They feel awkward so they want to check if the girl still likes them. There's no quicker way to invite disgust. Do not be drawn into such things.

Me and my son call it "Not chasing the butterfly." In the beginning of Tarzan, the little ape chases the butterfly out of the tree, and gets eaten by a leopard before his parents can get to him. Pay attention to your own emotional needs. Don't allow them to unbalance you. Reality is waiting to consume you. SMV is waiting to fall back to baseline cucklevels.

And I'm out.
