I do not like this untrue irrelevant petty generalizations occurring more and more often in The Red Pill.

If you've read the Sidebar, you should have understood the intersex dynamics to that extent that you realize that women do not dislike attention - they dislike attention from the low SMV man.

You being stood up has nothing to do with you "investing and wasting time building rapport through texts" and "pushing the boundaries into sexual talk" - it has everything to do with your scarcity mindset, low SMV, and lack of experience, which is not a bad thing.

What is a bad thing is the fact that you've tried to rationalize being stood up by posting a broad generalization on the subreddit filled with newbies that may agree with you, in order to protect your ego.

"Texting for hours on end about everything" and "lavishing them with compliments" comes from the fact that you have no life - since you have the time and energy to invest in this. This, coupled with the fact that your destiny with these girls was already determined by them at the time they gave you the number (I'll get rid of him by handing out my phone but have no intention of meeting him) is the reason they flaked and were "weirded" out.

If you're a tall, machievallian, charming, relaxed, happy with yourself, or any other brand of your own awesome and you decide for some reason you'd enjoy exchanging texts with a girl, you can text the shit out of each other until you pass out and when the time comes for some of you to initiate meeting - it won't be a problem.

And yes, imagine you can even use emoticons. You've heard it right - never putting a smiley face in the message won't make you any more alpha.

Hitting the gym 6 times a week, bleeding for every single inch of improvement every single day, reading a real book per week, getting a life, building amazing social circle, getting involved in hobbies you're burningly passionate about and facing your deepest fears every single day will.

"Never texting unless for setting up date" or "never using emoticons" generalizations and silly little girl rules? Get the fuck out of here and get serious.

You are men people, not teenage girls.

Oh stop already with all those generalizations based on TWO GIRLS. Texting is a means to an end. A tool. Nothing more, nothing less.

Imagine those situations:

You've met a girl on a street, talked for 10 minutes, then you went for 2-week long holidays. One (good) way to keep in touch is to text every now and then.
Girl you're gaming is living in a different city/country. Until logistics will be in your favor you sure as hell going to text her.
Your schedule is busy - you have many dates and just can't set up another one. You can set up a date in 10 days or keep the lead warm with some texting.
The lead went cold. You can forget about her or text her some innocent "ping" message thus starting new interaction. "Hey let's meet" usually won't work in that situation (depends on your history).

What you should NEVER do is to text without a goal. Are you trying to ask her out? Good - ping her, seed an activity then invite. Are you trying to stay on her radar? Good, send her something amusing and move on. Are you trying to build some connection or make her come to your city? Good, invest a little bit more. Are you trying to burn old leads? Good, send her "take it or leave it" message. Are you trying to revive an old connection? Good, send her something strong and move if it won't work.

Are you texting without any specific intent? DON'T!

Be careful not to spill your cookie jar. Texting as a way of communication tends to give away too much information you want to be a man of mystery, it is also a very stilted way to communicate, nothing beats face to face or even a voice call. I will never understand Millennials how they can hold a phone and text, yet they refused to use it as a telephone.

I do use texting for checking in, I am playing around with a 26 year old. We are both traveling, she was on a layover on a redeye from the west coast, and I just got to the Southwest, I was checking in a few minutes ago I told her that she could take me to Las Vegas when I get back. Her response was, I have to check with my boyfriend,. My response was, "no you don't."

I would text them about everything. Even pushing the boundaries into sexual talk. I would lavish them with compliments and always initiate the texts. Well you can guess what happened. One of them stood me up and the other one said she was weirded out by me.

I wouldn't have guessed that would happen, because that wouldn't happen solely based on your texting. Other factors are at play.

So, why do you think that did happen?

The girl I've been seeing since September has become less and less responsive to my texts. Like waiting a full day to reply. I did like her and this is really irritating. I'm preparing to write her off as a bitch and cease all effort entirely because I hate the thought of me stressing about whether or not a girl is texting me back. I can't let three months of dating turn into oneitis.

I don't mean to hijack your post (which is definitely good sentiment) but I wouldn't mind any advice guys on this sub might have.

This is why millennials are so afraid of a phone call, text messaging is quick and impersonal, a phone call is not.

You need abundance my friend. Texting is okay only whenever you are coming from abundance. Why? Because that mentality will naturally control the flow for you. I no longer purposely follow the 2/3's rule (where you only write a message that is 2/3 as long as hers) or purposely wait the same amount of time that she took to respond to my text. This comes naturally with abundance mentality because you really don't give a fuck about her anymore. It also helps when you are actually busy. Sometimes I don't have time to respond to a text, even if its my main plate.

The best part about this is that it will drive your plates crazy, and when they meet you in person they will do anything to get your attention.

True abundance mentality is the cure for this "texting rules" type of thinking. However these texting rules are really important in the "fake it until you make it" stage, especially in the scenario that you just described.

If she sees you as a high value man, she won't give a fuck how many emoticons, memes, or other shit you send.

Example: I was texting one chick in highschool who apparently liked me for a long time before but we had only recently started texting. This was back when I first found TRP so I didn't even know about "text game". However my SMV was way above here but the point still stands.

I'd talk to her about all kinds of things from our favorite movies to views on life, things y'all would view as cringeworthy and it didn't make a damn difference. I had literally lost count of the amount of nudes and sexual conversations we had. She'd tell me all her fantasies and what she wanted me to do to her when we met. Every conversation we had was sexual and I bet if I contacted her now she'd still be DTF after not talking to her for over 6 months now.

TL;DR: "only texting for logistics" is bullshit when their primary means of communicating is through text.

You're talking about two extremes. I have no problem texting outside of making plans. The key is to text with a specific purpose. Note that purpose doesn't need to be the topic of the texts. E.g. I haven't seen a plate for a week, I flirted with her a little today as a check-in. That's a purpose.

What I don't do is text her when I'm lonely or bored, which has no purpose. This is what you were doing.
