In the past marriage had little to do with attraction, which was why it worked. But I don't see how we can ever go back to that. It's like putting toothpaste back in the tube.

This is why I think it's important to develop a balance and empathy for those lower than you on the totem pole. I have a couple of female friends who are in relationships with total betas, they've offered to cheat a few times over the years and I haven't taken any up on it. To do so would be dishonourable, IMO.

Someone may be more "alpha" in a generalized sense, but if you've fucked a woman and kept up your alpha attitude, in her local sphere you will be more alpha than some other alpha who has not fucked her.

That's sounds like a perfectly good argument for not getting in a LTR with a woman whose SMV is higher than yours. If the woman tries to bat out of her league, she does so at her own peril.

If everyone was confident and self-assured and just didn't give a fuck, then I think everyone would be happier over-all.

That said, I think people have a built-in genetic & social programming that leads to them being beta. Being beta is a reasonably successful (evolutionarily and socially) character trait. I don't think it's going to go away, to be honest.

I've said this before, but we're not digital beings, we're more like an analogue function; we're striated and are a blend from 0 to 1 in almost everything, and have a dichometic relationship with our beta-ness and alpha-ness.

So sure, someone might be 'more Alpha' than you, but it doesn't have to be in all aspects, and probably wont be. I wouldn't get hung up on covering all bases, but more to understand the strength of the ones you can identify. Working on the weak traits is just a constant homework (where possible), like reading, or lifting.

However, if someone is taller, better-looking, or more intelligent than you, then they won a genetic lottery, and there's nothing that can be done or said about those things to change them. Have the wisdom to know what you can change, and the ability to let go of what you cannot. I think that's part of the Alpha persona; be you, care not. Being happy is related to that.

Also something to be said for having a Jack-Donovan-style "gang." This has several benefits: it provides an outlet for men's natural altruism, it will make most members "more alpha" than they'd be individually, and it creates a zone of trust normally destroyed (as OP commented) by individualistic striving.

yeah i think that its not always the goal to be the alpha but moer to be an alpha. In this way i can exercise being redpill in the context of becoming the strongest version of myself and not constantly assessing myself against others.

You don't have to out alpha everyone on the planet. You just have to out alpha the competition for your girl.

Also, women don't want an outright alpha [think Sadam Hussein or various African dictators.] They don't want the jerk after he fucks them over. They think they can change him but he won't be changed.

They want an alpha that will show his sensitive side and be beta to them SOMETIMES. Think MMSL.

Think of this as well: Since women (in the Anglosphere, anyway) are increasingly masculine in their pursuits and behaviors (aiming for high-powered jobs, collecting huge notch counts, behaving obnoxiously and boorishly in public, etc), it really behooves all men to up the Alpha. If every man is "alpha" (though there will always be the greater alpha) it would help to restore better balance in gender relations. But then again, it could make for an uneccessarily aggressive society.

What do you mean we should fight for the betas? Society is already promoting the beta lifestyle because every society needs people who will sacrifice their own happiness for others. No one is out to destroy betas because without them there are no alphas.
