Like many things in life, there is good learning and there is other -not so good- ways to, which will lead to nowhere. In the right conditions you can acquire a given skill in a short time and share this experience with the others. And in not so perfect conditions, you might end up studying countless hours and yet get nowhere except lots of meaningless information and a false sense of accomplishment (A.K.A. Mental masturbation).
Teaching and learning is an art by itself and should be passed from generations to generations. Here I see many experienced and good willed endorsers who try to give back to the community, but it’s also the learner's job to get these teachings in the right way, and make something good out of it.
One of the biggest problems of our society is that we have an unlimited source of information which fools us to think that we have the knowledge in our fingertips. This false feeling of “knowledge” prevents us even further to go out and experience the real deal.
I can see that a newcomer can be overwhelmed with only the information found in the sidebar. And they should be overwhelmed, because that sidebar is written by people who played in the field for years, digested what’s out there and summarized their experience. One should give time and space for things to settle down, and mix all this information to form their own intelligence out of this. But instead, I see phrases like these
*I’ve read the sidebar and swallowed the pill *I’ve broke up with my girlfriend and swallowed the pill *There is this woman in my office. Watching her made me swallow the pill etc
My word is especially for the newcomers. Don’t get fooled by your own pride. The Red Pill is a hard pill to swallow. Reading will get you only so far. If you really want to swallow the pill,
*You have to get out and fight in the field. You have to put yourself in situations where you experience the core teachings on your own. Reject a feminist and see how she behaves. Approach a beautiful girl in the pub and get rejected. Go to you mom or sister and talk to them about their world views. These are all the things that you have to see with your own eyes, not from other people’s perspective.
*You have to have real redpilled friends, and better people older and more experienced than you. Watch them, observe them while they are doing their thing. Watch them handle rejections, try to understand how they can keep frame. A real life mentor is probably the most important thing that can help you in this journey
*You have to make friends who would not only make a good wingman, but also your buddies in this journey. You will support each other in many ways. You will learn from their mistakes. Your will both give and get support in tough times.
*You should give time for all these to settle down and digest everything to make it your own.
TL;DR: Don’t get fooled by all the information available here. You have to play in the field and experience everything yourself. You need to have a good mentor, a loyal wingman and finally some time for swallowing the pill. Hopefully everything will fall into place if you push yourself and turn the information into experience
