Read "How to Win Friends and Influence People", that covers a wide range of basic human interactions, and really teaches you how to sell yourself. It helped me quite a bit.

Don't minor in anything period, even subjects that interest you. Your major and degree gets you your career (one hopes). Don't sink precious time and money into credit hours that will not advance your career. Read about whatever you like in spare time on the cheap.

Evolutionary Biology. If you want to understand WHY humans behave the way they do, it's all about basic survival and reproduction. Although it can be said that understanding human behavior through the perspective of evolution is just a "theory," the reality is that it explains human behavior as a whole better than any other field. Real evolutionary biology is actually not biased in its results, take the work of Simon Baron Cohen, for example (an excellent place to start if you want to understand the innate differences between the sexes). The problem is this field doesn't get as much media attention as the bullshit social "sciences" because its findings do not agree with the current politically correct viewpoint. A nice introduction for you would be to watch the videos in the "Gender Studies is Bullshit" link of the sidebar.

The entire perspective of RP is based essentially in the perspective of evolutionary biology. The reality is that, despite the fact that people think they are far superior to other animals, humans are still very much just animals. Humans behave much more predictably than we'd like to think. The prevailing theory at the moment is that virtually all human behavior is 50-70% based in genetics (some exceptions, but rare) and that environment accounts for the other 30-50% (interestingly, peers seem to have a much greater influence on children than parents). So nurture tends to be more about fine-tuning an already existing genetic plan that is somewhat adjustable. Of course, major psychological circumstances like abuse have much greater impact, but the point is that relatively minor changes (i.e. not extraordinary) in a relatively healthy environment don't seem to have as big an effect as our genetic program.

Edit: Make sure you look into information from the 2000s onward (more recent is better). There was a lot of data from the 60s-90s that turned out to not really be that true since our testing methods were much less developed and many of the studies actually failed miserably (tragic example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Reimer).

You can't get any of that from any modern field of study (at least not in the USA or Europe; maybe China/Russia/Japan are different), because the Cultural Marxists invaded the educational institutions starting in the 50s/60s and ruined pretty much ALL of the non-STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) degrees. That ruination is the root of why Red Pill exists.

Genetics is probably the only field where actual thought about these things, as they relate to people, is allowed. Maybe something agricultural (don't laugh) that exposes you to animal/plant breeding and domestication, which you then apply to humans.

Anything else, find OLD textbooks. Stuff published before the 50s and not revised since. Those will be filled with more undiluted truth than any philosophy, archaeology, psychology, etc. texts from today will be.

Edit to add: someone else mentioned Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People. Note that it was published in 1936.

It's all about the ranking system. Everyone on this planet essentially has a dbz scouter on their head which tells them your power level. It's constant ranking and judging. Dominance, desire and fear run the world. And understanding that primal urges and impulses haven't gone away, nor will they ever, the sophistication in hiding them only improves. What's socially acceptable is based on our progress of said sophistication.

None of the above. The commies have taken over academia of which feminism is merely an arm so there is almost no help there.

All of this Red Pill knowledge would barely be a college minor. Learn it from the sidebar and from a few books on the subject- on game and such. I have a post with my reading list of 45 books or so on RP topics which will take you way further on seduction, the real world, and male/female relations and attraction than any college course of study.

You should major in your passion and let everything else work itself out later. Seriously! I know it is a cliché but it is true.

I'm in the exact same boat as OP, as I would also like to hear about any minors that can teach more about how the world works and how to successfully navigate human interactions. My best guess is dual minoring in business and psychology. Anyone with experience care to weigh in?

I got my degree in a STEM field and took first and second year psychology as electives. In my case, it was definitely worth it. My first year psych class had the best introduction to the scientific method and statistics of any of the classes I took.

Learning how cognitive biases work and how we're all susceptible to them was likewise invaluable. It's helped me to see how people become invested in what they believe and it's helped me avoid some of the same pitfalls.

NLP, psychoneuropharmacology, artificial intelligence / cognitive science.

Psychology by itself is almost useless. Too hands off from the pure mechanics of what really matters, which is neural connections, complexity of structures & redundancy, neurotransmitter chemicals.

You'd learn about evolutionary biology, body language & logic as well to keep it all together as a package.

So far there's not a single package that has it nailed down.

You don't need school for that, just go out and people-watch. Go to parties, go sit in a food court at a shopping mall and just watch people walk by, listen to peoples' stories, read books on the subject (as one poster wrote "How to Win Friends and Influence People" is great.

Just don't get too wrapped up in it all and neglect your studies. Doing well in school and securing a great job afterwards is a lot more important than this shit. Good luck buddy!

This sub is not where you're going to learn how people think. This sub peddles a whole lot of batshit insane stereotypes about women that fall apart to anyone who isn't extremely socially isolated. Go out and make some friends because THERE is where you will learn it, not out of a book, and certainly not here.
