There's a huge double standard in the Army.

Women are equal to men on all levels, but their PT score requirements are much easier then the men's. Yet they want to open up ranger training for women..?

Shit like this http://nypost.com/2014/12/11/fdny-drops-physical-test-requirement-amid-low-female-hiring-rate/ where an organization eases requirements to even out the ratio can still happen in the Army. Just look at Airborne school. Used to be pretty elite, but now it's a joke.

Meh, I don't think Airborne was ever elite after WW2. Once HALO and HAHO came into play Airborne was sort like, hey this is an effective way to land a larger force cheaply in a quick fashion.

If Ranger school gets watered down, it won't matter anymore. The US has essentially neutered itself with this Feminist crap. These Muslim extremists have always been around, but it's only been the past 30 years that they have actually been a presentable threat to the US's dominance. There is a clear reason for that. It isn't because they are stronger either.

They didn't put Ivan in retreat, US supplied stingers did. The Russians are still active in the Middle-East don't get complacent with thinking that Russia is weak and not involved because they do everything covertly now. They have a obvious presence in Syria, and until Israel pushed them out had some forces in Lebanon.The Russians are still one of the big players on the scene, they just don't run around chicken-hawking like the Feminists of the west do.

Doesn't matter. I was an 0311 who did some of the test ruck marches to set the standards while they had compiled female volunteers to set benchmarks for new female standards. Watching them try to match the pace we set was laughable, and the gear we had was half to 2/3 what we carry in-country. Now I'm out and I see the same shit at the fire departments I train at. Lowered standards for quotas. There are some damned good female medics, but the vast majority step aside and leave the physical shit to the men. Both ultra testosterone-fueled, alpha-dominated manospheres that got invaded by politically endorsed female infusion. It will happen to the infantry as well. I got out for a reason.

Maybe in the Marines, because their budget is dictated by the Feminist Navy, but Ranger School falls under the SOC. Which means they write their own shit. The is a reason the SOC pushed for the restructuring in the early 2000's.

If that were really true the school would never have opened to women in the first place. And I'm fairly certain Ranger school does not fall under SOCOM because regular 03 Marine NCO's can submit packets to attend the school granted they meet certain requirements.

They have to follow the guidelines created to allow the women in on equal opportunity. There are no women in the SOC command structure to push a reduction of standards, and every single of the dudes in charge are full blown Alpha/Sigma shitlords. The SOC is not like the rest of the military. They do things their way. A woman will never be in charge, because she will never be able to get into the unit and climb the ranks.

Honestly what's the harm with letting women try? Most will fail, or be peered out, but if a couple do pass Ranger school, then didn't they earn it?

The only real harm I can possibly see is a slippery slope fallacy, whereby the rigorousness of ranger school is eroded or changed for females. I highly doubt that would happen, and it wouldn't make any sense since the point of being a ranger is proving you are elite.

Well that would be stupid. I bet it wasn't even the physical tests that failed them, they probably couldn't handle the harsh grind a program like ranger school is. There aren't many men, let alone women who can work there buts off while only sleeping 1 hour a day for a couple of weeks, all on 1 meal a day. But the school needs to be that way because rangers are expected to be able to operate effectively under those conditions.

It was precisely the physical tests that failed them. On the Marine side, the first day physical screener failed every female candidate but three who failed shortly thereafter. First day.

There aren't many men, let alone women who can work there buts off while only sleeping 1 hour a day for a couple of weeks, all on 1 meal a day. But the school needs to be that way because rangers are expected to be able to operate effectively under those conditions.

Quite frankly, females bodies physically cannot operate effectively under those conditions and I really wish we would stop pretending men and women are the same because we aren't. Women are built to get fucked, give birth and nurture young. Men are built to fuck, fight, forage, farm and build shit. Pretending otherwise has turned everything insideout and upsidedown

I have no earthly idea why a woman would even want to be a Ranger. Sure if she wants to join the Army to fly UAVs or be a nurse or whatever rear echelon shit go ahead.

This problem is only going to get worse. In the Army Nation Guard (cough NY cough) if someone fails a PT test they have to take it again. Right before the retest they somehow magically get a doctors note saying they can't do it.

I still make sure my NCOs tape them. Just because you can't workout temporarily doesn't mean you are allowed to be fat in the military. If you are going to try and cheat the system then I'll bury you.
