It depends. If she's that rare, genuinely cool and happy person who has her life together and is satisfied with her romantic life despite being overweight, which all tumblr feminists pretend to be, then you treat her like any other female acquaintance you don't want to bang for whatever reason.

However if, what's more likely, she's a frustrated, envious, self-hating, entitled, bitter loser with no sense of discipline and responsibility that most fatties are, nothing good will come out of associating with her in the long run. She will make you think she's an asset to you, then sabotage you when you least expect it, start being a hindrance or a straight-up leech, or embarass you out of her pure shittiness.

I'm guessing she's somewhere in between, since you have doubts, so I'm telling you: be very cautious. Don't ever rely on her with anything important, don't ever let her behavior reflect on your reputation, don't share anything you wouldn't post on facebook with her.
As far as networking goes, that's fine, just always make sure people know you as you, not "Fatty's friend".

Honestly, I used to do the same thing. And let me tell you, most of the time the type of girls that hang out with fat chicks are really fucking mental.

In my experience, many insecure women latch themselves onto something that makes them feel better about themselves. And it isn't always fat chicks either. But it's what I like to call an 'emotional crutch' and its to milk sympathy and attention out of a minor problem that could otherwise be fixed with therapy/exercise/"lightening up".

I would say, hold yourself to a higher standard and just meet hot chicks through other hot chicks. Avoid fat chicks only if you know they will be a hindrance to you.

Only once did I have a fat girl work out in my favor and for what it was worth, Id not do it again.

I had spoken with her and her cute friend at the bar before and knew each other in passing. I was very inhebriated one night. I was on the dance floor joking around and she'd come up and dance with me some. Oh well, fuck it.. right?

Later on after a few more drinks I saw her on the dance floor holding a pizza box. Yes, a fucking pizza box and I was hungry. So I went in for the kill. I dance with her for a few minutes and then I go for the pizza. My buddy described it as me reaching around her to try and grab a slice, she would keep it just out of my reach and we were going around in circles, all while dancing.

After a few minutes I finally got my prize and walked back to the table. As the night went on I noticed all kinds of girls smiling at me and giving me a little more attention. They either thought I was some fun loving, sweet guy for dancing with the cow or they saw the whole pizza deal go down. I didnt get laid by any of them and I was forced to make small talk with the hefer from that day forward.

I had a fat female friend once, who had been in medium term relationships with some of my closest friends. In between these relationships we were fuck buddies with a mutual understanding- I would fix her up with my mates and she would do likewise. She had some hot friends and I don't mind admitting I did significantly better out of the deal than she did. She even introduced me to two girls that I had lusted after for over two years but never had the balls to approach. She built me up to the stage that they were wet when they approached me. The moral of my story is that she was an actual friend who I socialised with anyway, and we scratched each other's backs, which worked out great for me. Unfortunately she has more kids than I can count now and doesn't party anymore.

A common tactic, that I have experienced, is when the horrible hambeast attempts to reject you. You aren't interested, but she will certainly make a public showing of how she is rejecting you. Maybe you are around when she does this, maybe not. But that only goes to hurt your chances with her friends and work to undermine you as a person. It's the anti-social proof, anti-preselection, pre-deselection. "Oh, he isn't good enough for a hippo? Well, theres no way he can be good enough for me."

Or worse, if she is enjoyable to be around otherwise, you will get the hippie who thinks you should just be happy to be around the 400 pound gorilla, and you are an asshole for not accepting her by dating her. This is especially true if the beached whale likes you romantically.

Just stay away. You are playing with dynamite.

My advice: Don't. It's too much of a hassle. You can't prevent her from associating the time/attention you give her to being solely due to her friends. Unless this person is blood-related, or lesbian, or so cool with you that you can openly say "hey, help me out with your friends" or "invite me when you go out, I want to hook up with xyz" then don't.

Women are pack animals like men are, so when the attractive friends see their fat friend talking to someone (even though they know you're out of her league) they'll leave you to her because they feel sorry for her.

I'm also worried that if I say bring a friend or two, she might get upset or bring fat friends.

She will, and want to know why? Because she's tired of guys using her to get to her attractive friends.

Is the rule just to completely stay away? Or, can one manage to network through her?

Too much work. If you're gonna do it, bring an ugly friend who would be happy to be with the fat girl and who'll she'll be happy with. Use him as a pawn to sweep in and take the rook. Then use them as a talking point like, "hey look they're hitting it off", or "don't they look good together" etc, talking up relationship points, or attraction value to the girls you want so they become envious of the fat girl in a relationship.

If you don't like her, don't hang out with her. If you have fun with her, have fun with her. Using her to get chicks isn't going to get you anywhere, but having a genuine friend might.

If she's into you, however, you need to let her down easy. Don't lead her on. Let her know you're just going to be friends. This type of thing could be your first alpha test.

You being someone who uses people is going to be so fucking obvious within hours to anyone with a normal level of social intelligence. If the 'fat chick' is your friend, treat her like a friend would, and people will notice. If she's not your friend, then don't even bother trying to meet people through her, because your attitude will be so transparent.

Better to roll solo. Despite how "cool" you think she is, she's still a woman. She will turn on you when you get too comfortable.

Get invited to social events and parties. If they're friends, they should be invited as well. You already have an in since you have the approval of their fat friend. Then it's just game.

Also, if you casually get yourself into a situation where it's only your fat friend and hot friends, it's not like you need a wingman. You're now a new, probably-not-creepy, potentially-interesting guy. They don't know you well, but they'll want to find out why fat friend likes you. Likewise, you can genuinely learn about them--and, that's game.

P.S. Your fat friend probably wants you, so be prepared for jealousy. You can still get what you want though, since she'll never explicitly make that known. It's not your fault--you didn't know it would make her feel jealous.

But, point: don't get too involved in this 'plan'. If shit happens, it happens. Don't go out of your way.
