You get ignored a lot.

You have to repeat yourself often.

You are in the middle of sentence, someone else starts speaking and you lose the attention.

You open a girl, she squints her eyes and says "what did you say?"

You open a girl, she doesn't squint her eyes. In fact she just ignores you like you're not there.

EDIT: Read the 9 points, rest is not that important.

Tested (for months), working (if you keep exercising and talking via this exercise), avoids sore throat, requires almost ZERO of your time and effort effort, brings very fast (few days) and noticeable results.

SIMPLISTIC TL/DR: If you wake up (or in any other situation) and your voice is booming from chest/throat - hum for 5s using this voice. Do this until you can create this "morning voice" on command. Focus on short repeats, but do it often.

  1. Do the following exercises every 30min from 9am to 3pm, everyday (or whatever BUT do them as often as you can), for as many days as you want. For the first take I suggest starting on Monday to test your results out on the weekend, this means 5-6 days of exercises.

  2. Each exercise will take 1min (you will need to start multiple times at first, the actual exercise part takes seconds). After first week, if you "get it" you can reduce the time. After you "get it" you will be able to do this exercise anytime, anywhere, will not be ostracized, looked weird at, in fact - you will be able to use it in social situations to your benefit.

  3. Put your finger on the tip of your dick... I mean on the tip of your Adam's apple. Start humming (mouth closed, letter "M" eMMMMMMMMM). You will feel a slight "vibration" in your face, in your mouth, throat and perhaps in your chest. Focus on the "vibration", where do you feel it "vibrating" strongest (near nose, mouth, upper throat, lower throat, upper chest). Keep your finger in the same spot where it was before you started. This not a vital part, but a good helper to "see" how your voice works.

  4. While humming, go the highest tone you can. Notice how the Adam's apple goes up. Do this a few times. One breath, take the tone high, use all air you have (just don't over-do it, no need).

  5. After you start humming the highest tone, go a bit lower. Do this until you have 5-6 "steps" from high to low tone on one breath.

  6. Practice until you can do the 5-6 steps on autopilot, without having to think about it, then you can start putting attention to the "vibration" in your body. This "vibration" is air that goes through your vocal cords.

  7. Your goal now is to "move" the "vibration" from the mouth to the throat and from throat to chest. This is consistently, most easy to see when you wake up or when you have a bit of a cold. The deeper, more resonant sounding voice that "vibrates" from the throat or the chest. If you happen to have that voice at any moment, do the humming exercise BUT only up to the point where you can keep the "vibration" in the throat or chest. It's better and easier to do 5s exercise with proper form but do it 10 times, then to do uninterupted 1min one where you try to force it, b/c your voice crumbled and you "lost it".

  8. The ultimate goal is to rework/train your body to produce sound in a slightly different way than you are used to (speaking "from mouth"). To do that, you will start with the humming part, then add the letter "A" ("aaaaaaaaa", open mouth works slightly different then closed) and lastly move to complete words (first by focusing on letters in words that can "vibrate", some letters can't so don't bother trying "sssssssss"). When you are able to hold the "vibration" while speaking normal words, try adding more power (take a deep breath, speak much louder BUT, if your voice crumbles, it means you went too far, try less power until you can hold the vibration).

  9. What not do do: get frustrated it doesn't work (it's there, you just need a shotgun/spam approach or right circumstances to notice where you place your "vibration" normally and where it CAN be placed to have better voice); trying to use force to "push" the voice or larynx lower (you can't, the larynx only goes a bit down anyway, the air needs space to vibrate = relaxed upper muscles); keep the "vibration" in mouth or throat only (not a lack of progress, it's lack of noticing the moment where your voice is in chest but you don't do the exercise and your body doesn't "memorize" the different process);

Part 2

This is a reply I wrote some time ago, contains additional, but not absolutely required (and very debatable) bonus points (EDIT means "changed today"):

You cannot deepen your voice without lengthening (EDIT: or thickening or changing the structure of) your vocal cords. The longer they are - the deeper your voice will be. Without that you can only make your voice more powerful.

No amount of testosterone will make your voice deeper. Testosterone is just a hormone, the voice is a sound wave. Testosterone will not change your vocal cords by itself. MAYBE (this is theoretical speculation) - growth hormone. Again - MAYBE. (EDIT: not true, steroids can change the voice, but it's unreliable, can go lower, but it also can and often will lead to permanent damage, because any hormonal changes to vocal cords are PERMANENT)

You can try stretching your neck (head backwards and sideways) and it will give you a bit deeper voice but it's not permanent (TBH I cannot confirm, but cannot deny either, that you can/can't PERMANENTLY stretch your vocal cords this way, EDIT: most likely it's b/c you open your airways, not b/c it stretches the cords).

Your posture matters more than you think. Hunch your back, say something. Stretch your upper back, push your shoulders back, say something. There is a difference, but most of it is not "deeper" - it's more powerful. Simply put - by creating more empty space inside your airways, you create more space for sound to vibrate, on top of having more air to make the sound.

"Chest voice" and other "vocal esoteric" stuff. The voice is created when air goes through vocal cords. It's impossible to say it "with chest" simply b/c it's mechanically not working like that. The vibration is created on vocal cords. What you perceive as "chest voice" is mechanical vibration of your body created by cords/throat/mouth, not by air creating voice in chest. (EDIT: that being said, PERHAPS the upper body cavities can enhance it.)

After vocal cords, you have your throat and mouth. Push your head down, say something. You constricted the throat, less space, less voice. Keep your head slightly upwards. Keep your mouth tight and barely move/open them, say something. You are blocking the sound inside your mouth. Open your mouth while speaking (the lesson of the year :D).

The exercises (the -ng, humming) - they do work, but not on the "deep" side. They make your voice more powerful and they teach you to use lower "settings" of the voice you CURRENTLY have. No amount of humming will make your voice deeper than it already can be. IOW - the exercises teach you how to use your current voice better.

You can exercise your neck muscles (the ones that move your head) but these muscles do not participate in creating the sound. There are 2 kinds of muscles that operate vocal cords and MAYBE they also would get stronger by the neck exercises.
