A few months ago, I wrote a post detailing the demise of academia, especially for men. This weekend, an event titled “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes,” will take place that will go down as one of the greatest man-shaming events to occur in recent history. Link: (https://www.facebook.com/events/940518195966613/)

The description: “During the event, teams of students will walk a mile on College Walk in high heels to symbolize the strife many individuals must endure each day as victims of domestic violence.” Sponsored by a sorority on campus, fraternities and other male-spaces have been targeted specifically for this event. In essence, fraternities that do not participate will be cast as unsupportive of feminism and its bullshit, as well as prime targets for shutdown by the university.

Essentially, hundreds of men will be walking up and down the quad in high heels, all in praise of female “victims” while hundreds of spectators stand by taking pictures, which will inevitably spread across the social media landscape. The proceeds of the event go to organizations such as Day One (http://www.dayoneny.org/), groups that cater to the feminine imperative of not taking responsibility. To quote from their site:

“There is nothing that you can do or say to deserve being abused. The abuse is never your fault. Everyone has the right to a safe and healthy relationship. In order to protect yourself, you should know the warnings signs of an abusive relationship (sic).

What Are the Warning Signs? - Extreme jealousy or insecurity - Constant put-downs - Possessiveness or treating you like property - Telling you what to do - Constantly checking in on you - Explosive temper - Making false accusations ---- LOL - Isolating you from your friends and family - Preventing you from doing things you want to do”

Basically, if you’re SO deems you as beta, she has every right to go to this organization and label you as abusive. It’s also interesting to note how every page has a picture of a woman at the top of the screen, because of course a man could never be the victim of abuse.

So if you have kids or ever plan on having them, you better make damn sure they know what they’re getting into when they go off to college. Better yet don’t send them to college at all and put them in a trade, at least they’ll retain their testicles that way. Just imagine your son one day going off to school and being labeled a “rapist” because he didn’t text his ONS the next day. It’s sickening.
