TL;DR - Used to go out with an American woman, noticed loads of similarities in the way she acted to the typical women on this sub... Are UK women as bad?

Background:

I am from the UK and stupidly got into a LDR (before I had seen the light) with a girl from the Midwest after we met on holiday. She totally changed the way I viewed women as a whole and for the worse. It was unbelievable how many of the stereotypes she conformed to that are described every day in this sub. Constantly lying, borderline psychological issues, emotional blackmail, mood swings that give you whiplash, total child like tendencies, never being able to take a joke, expecting to be defended even when being a total bellend; all the usual bollocks.

Before this I had only gone out with women from the UK and although they displayed classic female tendencies like being a bit ditsy or being inherently unfunny and a bit emotionally needy, it wasn't ever on the same scale as the behaviour I experienced from an American woman.

Question:

Is there an inherent difference in the way women from the UK and US behave and therefore, should they be treated differently as a result of this?

I find it interesting because our cultures appear so similar and yet when you scratch beneath the surface you find that they are extremely different and (in the case of my relationship) incompatible.

My answer:

I personally think that although the general advice in this sub is still somewhat appropriate for UK women (they're still women after all), it isn't as quite as good to use in practise because TRP advice all seems tailored towards the stereotype of the classic American psycho bitch.

Please excuse any faux pas I have made: I'm fairly new to this sub and so a bit of a lingo amateur but it seemed like the most appropriate place for this discussion!
