my Letro is gone and instead there is a white pill on my night stand and not a yellowish one.

So let me see if I've got this straight: you have this pill you're going to take, and it's in a bottle. You take it out of the bottle, but instead of swallowing it, you place it on the nightstand. Your girlfriend also has a pill she's going to take. It's in a little wheel. She pops it out of the wheel, but instead of taking it, she also places it on the nightstand.

Seriously?

[–]ashastry 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I take upwards of 20 pills a day on a cycle. It's pretty easy to accidentally leave one lying around if you get distracted. I found a melatonin I accidentally dropped in my pasta the other night.

[–]Chelsor 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

All the BS stories I read on here and you're calling this one out?

Bah, he's a grown man. As a grown man myself who supplements and being a creature of routine, all my supplements are laid out next to my blender every night. I'm also forgetful so routine helps.

Maybe she was trying to take a page from his book? Who knows. All I know is I'll take more of these stories every day as opposed to, "I told her hamsters gonna hamster and told her low-SMV-ass that she was gonna take it and like it. So she wised up, bitch is making me a sandwich right now, LOL. TRP 4 lyf, bro!"

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

she had hers in a pill calendar but then just ate mine out of carelessness.

[–]Shit_The_Fuck_Yeah 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think the real problem here is you leaving prescription strength hormones lying around.

[–]widec 22 points23 points24 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I read the title as "When your girlfriend swallows the red pill" and thought this was going to turn out to be an experience of her realizing how it feels like to be a guy due to messed hormones. Damn insomnia.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

A single dose might have done little or no harm to her. A young woman has so much estrogen that she can easily compensate.
At worst she might have had minor symptoms like an early menopause, i.e. sweating, fatigue, hot flashes. The main problem is the long half-life, it can take up to 4 days to get the full effect.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Letro is one of the most powerful anti-estrogen out there. If letrozol can bring elevated male estrogen to zero it can bring normal femal estrogen to zero. That and the fact that Letrozol is used to restore ovulation while Progesterone influences ovulation, is troubling. Plus, hot flashes suck super hard.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yes it is. But theres a difference between a single dose and admitting it on a daily basis to achieve a stable drug level. It is commonly used for breast cancer treatment and the side effect are tolerable.
I didn't say that you did wrong - you didn't. But if it hadn't worked the damage would have been minimal.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Couple of days of hot flashes for sure and a high chance she tells everyone.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

and a high chance she tells everyone.

Yes, of course. Collateral damage is usually not listed under common drug side effects. Noted.

[–]systmshk 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

and a high chance she tells everyone.

Think McFly think. She can just as easily tell everyone about accidentally taking the wrong pill AND being physically assaulted for it. "The Red Pill says I have to act" will not stand up in a court of law. OP made a snap decision which could have made a bad situation into a catastrophic one.

The takeaway from all this is that if you are going to be using potentially dangerous chemicals, know the proper procedure for dealing with mishaps beforehand.

True love is doing what needs to be done for freinds , family or loved ones

If a kid swallows a lego or poison you make them throw up

[–]kasp-throwaway 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I love how your flipping out at her taking a tablet you take yourself every day.

That's why I just lift naturally I read all the side effects of taking drugs, hormones etc went fuck that I can get strength without it, sure it's harder and not as quick but I am not stressing about what is in my system. Also as someone who has a few anger issues and an already high testosterone count I would hate to think what would happen if I started having roid rages.

Each to their own though.

[–]Chelsor 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Out of curiosity, how old are you?

[–]kasp-throwaway 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

30

[–]theVet 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I love how your flipping out at her taking a tablet you take yourself every day.

Yeah it couldn't be that estrogen is absolutely essential for women and not so much for guys huh?

[–]kasp-throwaway 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes but it's not like it is toxic and going to kill her in a matter of minutes. They had time not to flip out and work it out in a calm fashion.

[–]widec 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Working out naturally can only take you so far, supplements help you push past the plateaus you experience training all naturally.

[–]kasp-throwaway 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Each to their own, sure steroids could take me further but I have supplements just over the counter stuff.

[–]widec 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

By supplements I meant otc stuff too, I had a friend who used something like creatine when he hit a plateau. When you reach a certain level you just need something better than good old protein.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Roid rage is a myth. There are losers who cant handle their shit and blame it on drugs.

[–]kasp-throwaway 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh man it really isn't. It is a well documented side effect of steroid use. A small amount of people go into psychosis and a larger percentage have side effects with constant mood swings and increased aggression.

I have seen too many people over the years go mental with steroid use. Granted not everyone but a good proportion of them. Enough to deter me from using them. They all said the same thing as well "Roid rage is a myth" yet would go out angry as all fuck looking for fights over nothing.

[–]Carbone -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Testosterone is for people over 28.

It fuck up your Hormones so bad when you enter adulthood, except if you already have some problem.

[–]kasp-throwaway -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well I am over 28. Might be different for me though I already have an unusually high testosterone count.

[–]2johnnight 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

This is a beautiful love story.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I cant tell if that's sarcasm. I mean in a weird fucked up way it is. Overpowering a woman for her own good? It feels wrong using your chemically enhanced man strength to help a woman against her will. On the other hand she was too scared to act so, I acted.

[–]2johnnight 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

No sarcasm.

The story is intense and vivid. I could see it in a movie.

Edit: Mia Wallace overdose scene in Pulp Fiction.

[–]sungodra_ -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Except Mia Wallace was unconscious and overdosing. OP's girlfriend took a hormonal pill and would've been fine a week later.

[–]trplurker123 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

If you're a doctor or a pharmacist, shame on you. You shouldn't be providing what could be construed as medical advice without knowing all the facts of the matter.

If you're not a pharmacist or a doctor, don't practice without a fucking license.

[–]sungodra_ -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

No you're right, I'm not a doctor. I'm simply going from what I've read on the internet.

I'm guessing she would have been fine though. Letrozole is prescribed to post-menopausal women to combat cancer. From wiki:

However, letrozole is effective only in post-menopausal women, in whom estrogen is produced predominantly in peripheral tissues (i.e. in adipose tissue, like that of the breast) and a number of sites in the brain.[16] In pre-menopausal women, the main source of estrogen is from the ovaries not the peripheral tissues, and letrozole is ineffective.

So I'm guessing it wouldn't have done much damage.

[–]trplurker123 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Do you know what other medication this girl was on? Do you know what birth control this girl was on? Are there any potential side effects from combining any drugs she's on with Letrozole? Does the girl have any pre-existing conditions? Does the girl have any pre-existing conditions that would make her especially susceptible to letrozole compared to the average person?

Seriously, don't fucking practice without a license. Going on wikipedia doesn't qualify you as a pharmacist, so don't guess that this wouldn't cause much damage. You're making an uninformed guess on how the body works and it's insulting to people who have studied and practice medicine.

[–]sungodra_ -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Oh fuck off, there's no need to know all of that to make an educated guess at whether or not she was in imminent danger. Like I said, I'm not a doctor but if OP was concerned for her than he should have called one, not taken it upon himself to induce vomiting.

Did OP know any of those things? Shit how am I supposed to?

If you studied and practiced medicine then give us your insight into the matter at hand instead of throwing a fit.

[–]trplurker123 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You still aren't paying attention.

Anyway you should go back to the blue pill to be with your own. I can only assume you guys are busy and successful since ya'll triple majored in college in pharmacology, astrology and feminist studies.

Have some sympathy for us lowly, mistake ridden trpers.

[–]sungodra_ 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I didn't say any of that shit. Have fun living in your deluded little bubble.

[–]Kirkaine 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wait, you had no idea what this would do to her (beyond "probably hot flashes for a few days"), so you forced her to throw up. Now I agree with you, in a high pressure situation people can freak out and someone needs to fucking take control and make sure shit is handled. In this situation, you were not the latter, no matter how much you seem to think you were.

[–]Endorsed Contributorredpillbanana 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Great story. Women should not fuck with male hormonal pills. I know that they're not even supposed to TOUCH certain pills like finasteride, especially when pregnant.

Louis CK video was great too, as was the evil hamster. The bravery of that hamster might put a honey badger to shame.

[–]mdadm 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Some women don't handle stressful situations very well and as a man, you might have to step up if you realy care about her.

Ain't that the truth.

Also how fucking careless is this girl that she just swallows the first pill she feels around for on the night stand?

[–][deleted] 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

[permanently deleted]

[–]theVet 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Combine Ralox and Letro NOW. You will feel like shit while on it but it's the only way to reverse it if it hasn't been around for years yet.

The only alternative is surgery.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Letrozole can reverse that shit if its low key enough and you have to do it soon. It realy depends on genetics maybe you will be lucky with letro. Low estrogen means creeky joints and hot flashes also emotional instability.

[–]wander992 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Good call, letro has really nasty side effects, I can't imagine how dangerous it would be throwing BC into the mix

[–]scallopkid 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What's AAS?

[–]stygmata 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Best trolling ever. You guys...you so funny.

[–]sungodra_ 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Forward this to your GF please OP.

http://www.apa.org/pi/women/programs/violence/domestic-violence.aspx

Oh and inb4 I get called a white knight, beta faggot, BP loser, etc etc whatever. This shit is wrong.

[–]kasp-throwaway 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It wasn't domestic violence the intent just wasn't there.

It was OP flipping out about a perceived risk when he really shouldn't of. If he was calm for another 30 seconds I am sure she could have brought the pill up without ramming his fingers down her throat.

[–]whatever6 -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Some women don't handle stressful situations very well

Just some? Keeping a level head in a stressful situation is pretty rare for a woman to be able to do.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Its rare but there are some butch women that do realy well. I guess a persons ability to perform under stress, is contingent on their expiriance under stress. Society coddles most women so they dont perform very well in bad situations.

[–]trplurker123 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To be fair, most men can't handle pressure filled situations well either mostly due to inexperience.

On a side note, I thought this was a good example of being a leader. Even though she went into a freakout/mental lockdown mode it was important to strongarm her into throwing up. Not a doctor or pharmacist, but I don't know the potential side effects of all that extra estrogen on a normal woman. Better safe than sorry.

[–]TeasingPenguin 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Society coddles most women so they dont perform very well in bad situations.

God society is fucked.

[–]theVet 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You and your gf are both idiots. You for having pills lying around and her for swallowing random pills.

And it's not "gynoclomastia", if you're roiding up you should at least know how to spell stuff.

Also Letro for prevention? Are you fucking kidding me? Adex or Nolva would absolutely suffice.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I should have said prevention of progression.

[–]Carbone 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

wtf, He did the right thing.

[+]sungodra_ -7 points-6 points-5 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Forcing someone to throw up by putting your fingers down their throat? That's the right thing?

[–]Carbone 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Writing like that no

Saving my gf of having hormonal disfunction by helping/assisting her throwing up because she misstook her pill with mine and wasn't in a situation to help herself.

That doesn't sound too bad

[–]sungodra_ -5 points-4 points-3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Except there's nothing in OP's post that suggests she wasn't in a situation to help herself. She may have been upset but that doesn't give OP the right to make decisions for her.

by helping/assisting her throwing up

He didn't. He said he literally dragged her and forced her to throw up.

As another poster stated one pill would likely have little effect, maybe some adverse effects, but nothing that suggests "hormonal disfunction".

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If your daughter took a poison pill, would it be wrong to foce her to throw up?

[–]sungodra_ -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

OP's girlfriend isn't his child and she didn't swallow a poison pill so I don't see how your question applies.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women are children and if you think a person like that has the mental strength to handle some hot flashes you are wrong.

[–]dimmy666 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sir, please take your White Knighting somewhere else.

[–]Tway_the_Parley 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

She was upset and going into hysteria, according to OP, she wasn't going to be throwing up the pill for any reason at all, she was literally just waiting for something to happen to break her out of that trance. While what OP did might be an overreaction, he acted on what he thinks is appropiate with limited information, and with the health of his girlfriend as a priority.

Is it assault if he was acting with her best interests in mind? While you can argue that this particular case sounds like assault, and I'm sure you can find a court that agrees with you, what would you do if you are sure your SO has ingested poison and is now going into hysterics and not listening to a word you say? Leave him/her alone? Call an ambulance and wait the 10~20 mins for the poison to soak into their bloodstream?

[–]sungodra_ 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She was upset and going into hysteria, according to OP

There's no reason to think she was going into hysteria. I think she was afraid of him, and rightly so, seeing as he quickly forced her will on her.

Is it assault if he was acting with her best interests in mind?

I'm not a lawyer and I don't want to get into a discussion on assault but yes, I think so.

https://www.adjuvantonline.com/breasthelp0306/LetrozoleSideEffects.html

"In women with strongly functioning ovaries (who are still premenopausal) letrozole is not strong enough to prevent ovarian estrogen production. Thus the use of letrozole is only recommended in women who are postmenopausal. Because letrozole is a hormonal therapy for most women taking letrozole the side effects are very mild and do not include chemotherapy like side effects of nausea, vomiting, or hair loss."

I highly doubt one dose would have killed her or done any permanent damage to her hormonal system.

There were a number of other things he could've done if he was seriously concerned, one of them being to call the poisoning hotline.

[–]Tway_the_Parley 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Right, tell that to the OP, not me.

[–]love2fap -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

its not poison. her life was nowhere near in danger. no court would ever side with him. thats aggravated battery all day long. probably just threw an 'i love you' in there to seal the deal on her not calling the police.

[–]Tway_the_Parley 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hindsight is 20/20.

[–]sungodra_ -5 points-4 points-3 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Please don't just downvote me, someone explain how this is not assault.

[–]theVet 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Letro can fuck a woman up pretty bad. Androgenization for example: Beard and bodyhair growth, balding, infertility, clitoral enlargement (aka micropenis), ... I think some forced vomiting isn't as bad as any of those.

Granted none of those effects are instant but since letro has a two day halflife with the estrogen replenishment taking at least another two days that's 4 days in an androgenic state. It's definitely not healthy and androgenic side effects are usually permanent.

[–]Kirkaine 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

All of that is true. It's also assault. Ever taken a first aid course? The very first thing they teach you is that you absolutely do not have a legal right to use force on someone, no matter how much you think you're helping them. They say no, you stop. No matter what the chemistry of this stuff is, no matter whether or not OP made the right call in his mind, or in his girlfriend's mind. this was assault. Zero question about it.

[–]theVet 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah legal wise it sure is, you're right there.

[–]sungodra_ 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

'Legal wise' What other wise can assault be?

[–]theVet 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In this case? Ethics

[–]scallopkid 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not some random person, it's his girlfriend. Yes she could have maybe pressed charges if she wanted to but it was also her choice not to. I think this could border on a discussion about implied consent.

Is everything that's legal right, or everything that's illegal wrong? There was a comment here a few days ago about people not being able to tell logical exceptions to rules and clinging to the rules as a safety blanket to avoid having to be accountable for their choices.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Assault is harmful or offensive contact. This is definitely a grey zone but the anti assault argument would be that its benefiting her so its not harmful. Trying to save someone like pulling a child out of the street is not offensive. To get convicted in something like his you usually need to prove bad intent.

[–]sungodra_ 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm not a lawyer so I can't comment on whether it's assault or not, it simply sounds like it to me. I think it's definitely domestic violence/abuse though.

Forcing her to throw up is benefiting her as opposed to some mild discomfort for a few days?

I'm sure she could've made the decision to throw up the pill if she really wanted to.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Hot flashes are not mild discomfort. It can be disruptive to the point where your just sitting there sweating profusely drinking tons of water, too uncomfortable to do anything else. Its kind of like having a fever while not being sick. Also if you knew her you would know that she isn't capable of making any decisions, including what to eat or what to wear in a reasonable timespan.

That doesn't sound too pleasant at all, however, I have vomited before and it's never been a pleasant experience. I can only imagine that having someone induce vomiting for you is equally unpleasant if not more so.

Also, it doesn't sound like you have a very high opinion of your girlfriend. As for the deciding what to wear thing, I think most girls are like that. I don't know what your relationship is like, or how either of you feel, but I don't think physical violence in a relationship is ever a good sign.

I don't know how much attention you pay in law school, but this was assault, pure and simple. As I mentioned in a comment below, take a first aid course. The very first thing they tell you is that no matter how deep your superhero fantasy runs, consent matters. If we were talking about a toddler or if she was unconscious and unable to give consent that would be a different matter, but this is a clear case of her telling you not to do something, and you using force on her body to do it anyway. That's assault. "It was for her own good" is emphatically not a criminal defence, and I'd think you'd know that. Similarly "she takes ages to get dressed, she's incapable of making an informed decision about consent" is not a legal argument. This is not a grey zone, this was clear cut assault.

There are lots of things pure and simple about assault. I walk up to you in the street and punch you that's assault, pure and simple. True, there are lots of times when it isn't pure and simple, but this wasn't one of them. Using physical force on someone against their wishes. That's as pure and simple as it gets. Good Samaritan laws do not apply in those cases, and they're very clear on that. Reckless rescuer clauses are exceptions to good samaritan laws, not really laws in and of themselves, which makes it seem like you're taking the alphabet soup approach here, throwing around buzzwords and hoping they land in the shape of an argument.

I did read carefully, actually. You quite clearly said that she said you were overreacting and that there was nothing to worry about. From your story, the only time she was in a state of shock was after you started screaming and assaulting here. Even then, you said your arm was bleeding from her clawing at you to get free. None of those things sound like her freezing up, and they certainly do not sound like consent.

That hamster totally had a Bruce Lee stance.
