Eventually, I feel that women will wise up and start asking for the things that they deserve, the things used to be automatic and expected of men, like holding a door, pulling out a chair, and paying for dinners.

I didn't think the "Enlightened and Emancipated Woman of Todaytm" was receptive to a man holding doors open, pulling out chairs for her to sit upon or paying for all the bills. It devalues her worth by implying she cannot do these things for herself. /u/KublerRossWasWrong

This. Modern birth control (the pill, free/cheap condoms, plan B etc) lead to the free women we see today. I don't see why this is a bad thing, as long as everyone is responsible with reproduction.

No. It's just that men realized that doing anything more than the minimum for these women only results in less money and the "promise" of sex with no actual sex happening.

Ah, I found my first white knights of people I know via fb because of this post. I tore up this article and turned it around to make the author look pretty bad. Then I went back and fourth with a girl I know of, but don't know personally. I summed up a lot of RP stuff applied to this story.

Two guys were just liking everything she said, called me out for being totally wrong, and even wrote to support the 'nice guy dinner date' idea. Funny enough, I actually got her to budge a bit right away and she started seeking ways to say how we agree. Women can feel the truth when it hits them (and you're leading), the bluemangroup on the other hand fights the idea so their framework doesn't shatter. She didn't even address the other guys in the discussion (even though she's their friend). Ahah... I bowed out of the convo being jokingly dismissive of her since she was a girl, and she took it on the chin and came back with a smiley and called me obstinate. I'll take holding the frame as a compliment, thanks. The other guys were unhappy how I treated her and commented on it. Later she even used the same language I joking called her to describe herself. Heh. Those guys just don't get it.
