Had to google around so this may not be the best citation, but here's why.

[–]therandomthrowaway11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is it here. Statistical evidence showing that if you want an actual wife, higher partner count increases the risk of divorce. Besides that, a high partner count shows a number of things: poor impulse control, poor understanding of the value of things (such as sexual access to her), poor decision making, poor judgement of character (of men she's fucked).

If a woman has a high partner count, you also have to ask more questions. How many of these liaisons occurred with drugs/alcohol involved? Was it always safe sex? Was she on birth control/did she have abortions? Abortions increase the chance of reduced fertility in a woman, if you actually want kids.

Besides all of that, sex is NOT the same for men and women. I remember reading an interesting post about a gay man that had been both a top and bottom for anal sex. He said that even when he went in knowing it was just casual sex, he became much more emotionally involved when he was penetrated, and struggled to not call guys that he'd only had a ONS with. Having many sexual partners emotionally damages women. Leaves them jaded emotionally and sexually. Each sex act is less likely to be a unique and special shared experience between the two of you.

In other words, sluts are great for fucking, not good for LTRs where you invest time/money/emotions into them.

TLDR; Can't turn a ho into a housewife.

LTRs are saved for unicorns. tell me when you find one

[–]mindlar1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is the biggest reason.

The higher the partner count the higher the risk of eventual divorce. In general more partners indicates a higher chance of being an "Alpha Widow", decreased ability to pair-bond due to breaking those bonds in the past, and depending on the nature of her number indicates poor impulse control.

Asking out of pure scientific curiosity - has a similar study ever been done on men? It'd be interesting to see if the disparity between, say, 0 and 2 sexual partners is as extreme for men as for women. Can't predict science, but I'd wager that there might be a disparity, but it might be lessened, or the sexual numbers might be higher. Who knows.

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

As an earlier post noted, apparently yes there is a similar (albeit significantly lessened) effect as a man's number rises. I highly doubt the effect is as extreme in the 0 - 2 range, but I dont have statistics in front of me.

However, I DID study human sexuality and it's women that struggle with LTRs sexually more so than men. they both peak in the honeymoon phase and decline slowly (passion fades), but a man eventually hits a low, but steady level of satisfaction. Basically, he is still happy to sex an option ("It could be worse i guess! har har"). Women, on the other hand, can (and do) lose all desire to have sex with the man and thus the relationship is sexually a struggle.

This area of research obviously was a statistical embodiment of a beta bux + wandering-eyed wife relationship, and how it is the standard modern marriage arrangment. It showed proof of how deep and wide the beta husband epidemic runs throughout our society.

So to get back on point, a man's number doesn't contribute to divorce probability in nearly the same magnitude as a woman's. According to the study listed above, this apparently is a huge factor on the woman's side.

[–]throwaway_redpill20 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A bit late on the reply, but thanks so much for the clear response! Too bad things like "desire" and "happiness" aren't easily quantifiable. It'd be so interesting to try to statistically model LTR behavior, haha.

Additional information:

http://i.imgur.com/XJML69l.jpg

TL;DR : More likely to catch something from a chick thats been with more than 10 men in addition is more likely to be an unhappy and depressed crazy woman.

I mean there is a lot too it man. I personally wouldn't want to settle down with a chick that has been through a whore phase. That literally guarantee's a few things.

She likes variety. Try telling a fat woman she has to eat nothing but carrots until she dies. LOL yeah that's gonna happen.

Most of her male "friends" have had sex with her. So every time you get introduced to one they might as well be telling you "Man your wife was tight a few years ago!"

A divorce is inevitable: She'll get bored, start cheating, talk half you assets and will drive a car with the license plate saying "was his" -->http://i.imgur.com/nDFPzM4.jpg<--- on it while you're living in a ghetto.

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Perfect! thank you this was exactly what I was looking for! I wanted a statistical argument, and i got one

[–]real-boethius0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Also women who have had a larger number of sexual partners are more likely to have fertility problems due to prior abortions and STDs such as chlamydia.

And more likely to have affairs and have babies, when married, that are not the child of the husband.

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

condom, secret vasectomy, no marriage. these should be serious considerations of any RP man. Though, that's just my opinion

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thank you! this is exactly what I was looking for!

[–]real-boethius0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

So in summary if being divorce raped doesn't worry you, then by all means go with Miss "50 alphas before graduation".

marriage is 100% impossible. run. Run. RUN

[–]DevilishRogue0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Marriage is fine if it is to the right person. Marriage to the wrong person however...

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

you have no way of knowing who you're going to be married to 10 years down the road. marriage before age 30 should be illegal. it'd save people so much trouble. I can't even describe the shock I regularly go through reading posts in /r/relationships like "Me[21M] and my gf[19F] want to find a cheap but pretty ring for our wedding next month!" and everybody circlejerks all over the keyboard instead of IP tracking them to go stop such a huge mistake.

[–]DevilishRogue0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It shouldn't be illegal to make a mistake. Sensible people wait until they are mature enough to marry. Those who aren't, don't. Simple as that.

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I know lol. I guess I'm just a humanitarian ;)

[–]HAMMURABl5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

and would really appreciate a thorough explanation on this "slutty" issue

no one forces you to believe this part. we can only warn everyone. if you don't believe her number matters, thats perfectly fine. just don't say you weren't warned when the shit hits the fan.

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]ringydingy11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Because if the pussy was worth keeping, she wouldn't be being tossed around like a beach ball at a concert.

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

While I obviously agree at this type of statement when taken at face value (nobody wants a girl that ACTUALLY has fucked a ton of guys at the same party in a night), it's just a hyperbolization. No girl would actually ever do that (don't get cheeky with some far fetched example), what would be considered a realistic threshold of sexual experience that would classify a girl negatively.

And don't jsut say "OBVIOUSLY ONLY A VIRGIN IS OKAY" becuase fucking virgins SUCKS. they're so... needy... you know what receiving "her first handjob" gets you? tender pipe skin. you know what receiving "her first blowjob" gets you? TEETH. her virginity is pretty much the same, except you get a clinger, blood, and tears later because you don't want a relationship at the moment

[–]Subtletorious3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It is not the number, it is why is the number that high?

To use an analogy, a potential new employee has been employed 100 times with employment ranging from 1 day to 1 month. Does this applicant have work ethic and commitment issues?

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is not the number, it is why is the number that high?

great point, my man.

[–]bleh3212 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's in our hindbrains aka our biologically set impulses.

Why do we naturally feel jealousy? A high count simply does not represent a worthy LTR due to the high risks involved.

[–]Endorsed Contributormonsieurhire24 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I agree with a lot of what you say, but also, take into consideration that many guys are concerned that a girl with a high partner count will get bored at some point, cheat on them, or blame their ennui on them and divorce rape them. I think this can happen with any woman though, regardless of partner count, if the guy doesn't know TRP. Statistically, it is supposedly more likely that high partner count women have these issues. High partner count men have them too. Leopards don't change their spots. I myself would prefer a serial monogamist.

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I understand the concern about her getting bored and wanting to hop back on the cock carousal. If she has a high partner count, it's liekly her friends also share similar stats+behaviors. so she might be more enticed by the idea of drunkenly squawking in a club, sopping up free 'ladies night' shots from the belly button of another chick, and leaving with the hot bartender to a chorus of "YOU GO GURL" from a gaggle of slgihtly thinner women.

lol

Still, if she is satisfied with you (more tahn just sexually) she most likely won't jsut cheat. remember, cheating is most often just a symptom of larger issues in a relationship . If she cheats merely because she literally cannot control her clit because his accent was soooo gorgeous, then reconsider your relationship with this woman.

Worst comes to worst, a paternity test isn't that hard to get. Beyond that, realize that you always need to be cautious around any girl, so strap your helmet everytime, freeze your sperm, get a secret vasectomy, and remember to get a prenup (if you're sucker enough to get married). this will save you so much stressing. she won't be able to hurt you if you take precautions.

EDIT: Grammer

[–]Endorsed Contributormonsieurhire24 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No I agree with you, but some women's expectations are so high, that no man can realistically meet them. Plus, it is so much easier for women to have sex than men because of all the thirsty guys out there. High partner count suggests high expectations, as she bought into a dream where she gets to have her cake and eat it too, with sprinkles, with no consequences. But once you get hooked on the thrill of a gazillion one night stands, etc., it can be hard to stop.

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, a girl that knows what you like can be like a drug, but realize that that's part of your downfall into the dreaded one-itis (BUM BUM BUMMMMM)

True, some girls have high expectations that just climb ever higher each time you meet a standard. The only way to combat this is to frame yourself and your relationship in a way in which you retain a position of power where she can't get too comfy nor push you too hard for fear of your ability to bail. For many women, she kind of has to be the chaser in the relationship in order to stay interested. Sometimes the jealousy your gf feels when another girl comments on your facebook is precisely what keeps her interested

[–]Endorsed ContributorLastRevision1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

I met a girl last year who told me she used to be a big slut but now she learned and grew and was older and wiser and didn't make bad choices like that anymore. It was just chatting on OKC, but I never messaged her again.

  • a girl with a high partner count who makes you "wait" views you as a chump.
  • a girl with a high partner count who fucks you immediately reduces you to a statistic
  • a girl with a high partner count has likely "seen everything" and has been alpha widowed a few times over, which is baggage you don't want
  • a girl with a high partner count will likely have a blown up ego, yes even if she's fat, because she will never interpret her actions as providing an easy source of friction for someone

Partner counts have gotten outrageous for your average post college-age girl; i recommend 18-21 year olds.

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Given that I'm 21, dating 19-21 year olds is perfect!

[–]SariaLystra 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Google "the art of whore". In short, the number in and of itself doesn't mean much. But the implications are far worse. If you're not swayed by the statistics already mentioned, think of it like this: every guy she was with deemed her unworthy of a long term relationship, even though she offered her vagina to them. You can argue that she doesn't value sex as much (which would beg the question as to why she was selective) but nevertheless she is the common thread among those relationships.

So the more partners you have, the more you show that you yourself are unfit for a relationship, especially if those relationships are sexual. You can spin it into "oh I have learned so much" but again, if the 60 guys you fucked thought you weren't real girlfriend material, why should the next guy?

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

yes, obviously once the numbers hit 60 that's clearly deep into an area reserved for therapy not an LTR.

but what about just a few?

[–]SariaLystra 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It would depend on how people it takes to convince you. Remember each ex boyfriend is essentially a guy who said that the girl is not gf material.

Just think of it like this: you want to get with a girl. How many guys would have to tell you "dude, she is not girlfriend material" before you gave up? 1? 5? Well that's your number. If it takes 5 dudes to tell you to give up before you take it seriously, then don't date a girl who has had 5 or more exes.

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I see the point you're trying to make, but it's more of a generalization. There are tons of reasons it might not have worked out. she might even have dumped him. Maybe he was an alcoholic. maybe they separated for university after high school. maybe she has such a magical vagina that her ex died of a brain aneurysm upon orgasm.

I've always wished there was a good way to contact somebody's ex(s) and ask them about a girl. of course they would only say bad things, but that'd be the point. I'd want to hear the dirty stuff. I'd do my best to try and filter what is based in reality and what is pure spite, but I think it'd be worth it. Unfortunately, it'd probably result in unwanted consequences following the endeavor.

[–]SariaLystra 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Of course it's a generalization. But it's a generalization based on a common consensus. If the same event happens over and over and there is one constant variable across all events, you can reasonably assume that that common factor is responsible. And the more times it happens, the stronger the correlation.

Could there have been extenuating circumstances? Sure. That's you at the bar telling that one guy that he made a mistake and maybe he's wrong. But telling 5 different guys who say the same thing that they're wrong? You must know something that all of them do not.

Furthermore, if the girl attracts all abusive/alcoholic boyfriends, that should already be a sign of poor judgment. She made the same mistake over and over again and wound up being "unhappy" and "victimized". No matter how you spin it, high number count is always bad.

[–]ClarityOfLife[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Okay, that's perfectly rational. All of these statistic have swayed me to make sure I pick a girl with a low partner count and just be wary of high counts in general.

The next part, though, is that I've seen this low-count-preference argument extend to men scrutinizing women for experimenting with sex acts rather than just numbers. Things like "she's had a devils's three-way? Insta-dump bro" and other explorations of kinkier, non-missionary sex. Why should I give a shit if in college freshman year she had a drunken three-way, regrets it, but also learned about her sexuality and gained perspective from the experience?

These are the sort of grey areas that need filling in for me

[–]Senior Contributorexit_sandman1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Apart from the usual issues (higher risk of divorce, STDs, lower fertility, alpha widowism etc.) I want to throw something different in the mix: Lack of (good) experiences with that kind of woman.

Don't forget that quite a bunch of guys here presumably are recovering betas (or worse), guys that were held at arm's length by women during their teens and 20s. While this may have been somewhat tolerable if the women in question weren't what you'd call "easy girls", it certainly breeds contempt if they weren't really hard to get - for others (aka "riding the carousel"). And now imagine that that kind of woman suddenly starts hitting on you at a point in your life when you begin to earn good money - wouldn't you double-guess their motivations, too? Bonus points if they're over a certain age and their looks begin to fade, and even more bonus points if they deny you stuff you either know they did in the past or (worse) you get to know later by chance, even though she tried to recreate herself in the image of a "proper lady" - whether that's putting out early instead of making you jump through loops, being experimenting ("I'm not like that anymore") and so on.

It's one thing if you're 21 yourself and never had these problems, but for guys who had, this becomes a lot more important prior to stage 5.

Men love sluts not a slut.

Outside a LTR or an attempt it dose not matter.
