As others have said, the title is dead on. I would say that not all civilizations have claimed to value a man's commitment. Our present society has brainwashed men into thinking they have a true love out there that loves them for them. It's a delusion. Other societies used to be more honest about it. What we're going through now is the phase where men who have been brainwashed their whole lives take back their dignity and purpose from the matriarchy. “Women are the barometer of male success.” when you truly take women off the pedestal, this sort of comment is just...disgusting. Maybe I was looking for a reason to unsubscribe. This place has been great, really helpful stuff in years past, but one really only needs the sidebar and some of the top posts. The reason for this is that lots and lots of men are willing to commit to a woman. Just not many good ones. Finding guys is stupidly easy for a girl. This makes being an average looking, average job, plain old nice, pleasant guy who's willing to date a girl pretty damn worthless, because there are 20 more guys just like you trying their luck right now, and she's not interested in any of them either.

That cute fun guy from the bar that she hooked up with is at least a little interesting. But you? Worthless. If she misses out on you, it's no big deal because she has 19 more of you right now and more always appearing in her life.

In our world, women get points just for existing. Just for showing up and being a woman, we're kinda interested. And if a woman seems possibly interested in us, she jumps up to the top of the list and gets major bonus points.

But imagine if 75 percent of the women you see would be willing to fuck you if you flat out asked, with no game or effort of any kind, just asking. And if maybe 50 percent of women would date you, and pay for the dates. Suddenly, women existing and being interested in you would be kind of worthless and you'd only bother with the interesting ones.

There is an unsettling tradcon undertone to this post. One statement in particular stands out as both wrong and something tradcons try to impart: "women are the barometer of male success." The opposite is in fact true. Landing a high-status male is the barometer of female success. Pretty women, on the other hand, are a dime a dozen. They aren't a barometer of male success but rather a perk or accoutrement of it. Male success is determined by other measures. Being able to attract pretty women doesn't make me a success. Rather, I'm successful for reasons independent of women, and therefore pretty women are attracted to me and I'm able to enjoy their company.

You don't have to train MMA. You can make do with Brazilian jiu-jitsu, the ground-game of MMA. It's basically MMA without striking. Same thing minus the brain damage.

That's what I do.

Can you hold frame? Even in a life or death situation?

If you train BJJ or MMA this will be easy. Every day is a life or death situation in the gym.

Yeah, I find this can also be attributed to friends and family. The ones you can have around to bring you up and figure things out are the ones worth keeping. Or you will have to dominate and teach them your ways. No way around doing at least one of those two without sacrificing your success.

However, I disagree with women being the barometer of success. You can have a good face and a dating app and have hundreds, if not thousands, of matches within a couple of weeks. You'll be able to convert plenty into lays with those numbers too. At the end of the day though, you may very will be a loser in every other aspect of your life: finances, relationships, career, interests, hobbies etc.

The real barometer of success should be yourself. You need to hold yourself to the highest standards.
