You know how this subreddit is a counterpoint to NiceGuys and CreepyPMS? Well, this post reminds me of a post I saw on CreepyPMS years ago - like seriously probably a decade ago. A guy and girl had been chatting online and playing some game (WoW maybe?) for a long time, then the girl moved on. Some time passes, and the guy sends the girl a long email about how he loves her.

She of course posted it to CreepyPMS to make fun of the guy. But what was really shitty was, in the reddit thread, she posted a comment along the lines of, "I guess he thought we'd grown close due to all the chatting." I remember thinking, what a heartless thing to say.

This guy made the mistake of explaining. And then after that, he went back to her and texted her again. What did that do? Fueled her hamster.

He did it right at first by just ghosting and disappearing. The only reason he told her she was acting like a child (if he even said that) was likely because she was pestering him.

Manipulated you into believing you were the sole issue? You friendzoned him and he said "no thanks" and then explained it to you in detail (which was his mistake) because YOU ASKED HIM TO. If you didn't want to know the answer, why the fuck did you ask the question?
