Ironically, I know an older woman(my age) and tried to befriend her. She never calls or replies to my emails. She's basically a shitty friend. We have a lot in common too. Even went to the same high school.

No kids or family? You mean no servants? Notice how the idea of friends doesn't come up as a solution. Because friendship is work; you have to put effort into a friendship to get something out of it. Kids and spouse-slaves are supposed to love you no matter how mean or abrasive you are.
